Elian’s POV

It felt right but it was so wrong.

Constantly, in your lifetime, you would hear that saying. And I never truly understood the meaning of the overused statement and believed it was for those who needed an excuse for the wrongs they had done. Though in this moment in time, I knew exactly what that message meant. It demonstrated the fight between instinct and  reason. It was definitely a struggle that everyone went through at least once or twice in their time.

It felt right to be in Kasey’s lap, having his mouth dominate my own but it was so wrong to be vulnerable and needy for my mates when I had already chosen the path for my future which didn’t have the Alphas in the picture. My low moans clouded my judgement and for the hundredth time during this trip, I went with whatever happened.

Without any idea on how I ended up underneath Kasey’s body on the loveseat, he kissed me with a fiery passion that didn’t go unnoticed by me. The kiss was desperate from both parties and frustratingly hot as I panted between the moments our lips touched. His tongue entered my mouth and with little to none experience on kissing someone, I met him halfway. I savored the kiss with my mate because for some reason, I knew it would be a long time before I had another.

My arms were wrapped around his neck to bring him closer to me, and occasionally our bottom halves pressed against one another. One of his hands caressed my cheek and the other traced light circles on my hip bone. It was incredibly hot in the room as Kasey and I parted from the kiss and he bent his head down towards my neck. He left lovebites all over my neck and my moans grew louder. We were grinding on each other with the unbearable friction of the straining clothing we had on.

“Eli,” he moaned with a deep, raspy voice.

That was when I was snapped back into reality. That’s when the saying was reversed in my mind, it felt wrong but in everyone else’s eyes it was probably right. I panted heavily for Kasey to stop and when he did, I tried to catch my breath to explain to a very confused mate why I had told him to stop.

“What’s wrong?” Kasey asked, while he allowed me to sit up again.

I motioned between the two of us, “This is wrong. It can’t happen, it shouldn’t have happened.”

“Eli, you’re our mate,” he whimpered as I realized that my choice of words were spoken like a hurtful  rejection.

I shook my head in disagreement, “This was a mistake, this pairing. The moon goddess made a mistake, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. You need a female mate that is normal for you, that will give you as many pups as you’d like.”

I started to grab my cloak and boots as I started to explain to Kasey that this was all wrong.

“I don’t care for a female mate or her capability to provide pups, I care for you. I want you, Kaspar would want you too,” he pleaded as I shrugged my clothing on and headed for the door.

As he followed me to the door, I opened it and found Kaspar on the other side about to walk in. He wore a soft, crestfallen smile as if he felt the rejection that Kasey had just experienced. Overwhelmed with the both of them knowing that I was their true mate, I teleported to an unknown place.

When a Fae’s emotional state was unstable and decided to teleport somewhere else at the time, it is usually a setting that they have never been to before. This exact consequence happened to me when I simply wanted to disappear from the two Alphas. When I opened my eyes again, I was surrounded by a waterfall scene, with the running water bringing a wave of serenity over me. There were tall trees, mountains and waterfalls on the sides of them all around me. It was nothing like I had ever felt or seen before, it made me truly wonder where I had teleported to.

As I traveled out of the forest by my free wings, I was grateful that I didn’t sport a hard-on from earlier. Thinking of the events that took place earlier, made me desolate, hoping that I never trusted my heart. I was incredibly foolish to do so in the first place. While I was on the topic of my mates, I wasn’t paying attention when I should have noticed that there were a few pairs of eyes upon my every move. Instead, I continued walking to find a ruler of this land.

Soon enough, I reached a stone bridge that connected the deep forests to a castle and neighboring homes of those who lived there. I had flown over the bridge to come into contact with two guards that oddly looked like me, regarding my attire.

Each male wore light, colored shirts with loose pants and pointed boots. They also wore cloaks over their shoulders and had a bow and arrow thrown over their backs. As for any physical features that were similar, they both had long, braided hair. Which in the human world and any other that I have been to, it had been claimed to be peculiar for males to keep their hair longer than the average male.

However, they both didn’t have wings, or they were either hiding them. Both males looked at me in confusion before quickly returning to stoic expressions.

“Hello, I am Lord Elian, of the Seelie Court of the Fae. I would like to have a word with your ruler,” I kindly asked.

They immediately bowed like everyone else who finds out who I am. After they greeted me, I was escorted by others of their kind. Throughout the walk to the castle, I observed all of the people that were blatantly staring at me or my wings I should say. All of them wore the same apparel that the two guards and I wore, which was more unusual for me to see because I had always thought that I was the only being to ever dress that way that I do. Everyone here was undeniably beautiful in their own way, not a flaw could be seen. I soon reached the castle, and the doors were opened by other guards.

Inside, I was taken to an empty hall except for one male that was peering outside of the window and among the land. He held an authoritative presence, with his tall height and unblemished appearance. His image was almost familiar but I couldn’t pinpoint where I would remember him from. Even

“Adrian, we have a young Fae that demanded for you,” one of the guards told the male who I presumed was Adrian.

I’d never been presented as a young Fae before, was it that titles didn’t matter in this realm?

“Thank you, you may return to your posts now,” Adrian ordered.

When the guards had left, Adrian turned to face me and an emotion flashed through his eyes that looked a lot like shock. He remained emotionless and started walking down the long hall that seemed to have no end, motioning me to follow him and fly beside him. As everyone else that I had seen before, his clothing was similar but more posh and basically roared royalty. His overall look may suggest that he was young, but his eyes held perhaps centuries of emotion.

“Why are you here?”

I was taken back by his sudden question, but answered truthfully, “As a Fae, whenever we teleport at an intense and emotional time, we can be teleported to any realm without our intentions.”

He nodded and then asked another question that I preferred not to answer.

“Why were your emotions at such a fervent time?”

“I did something that was not supposed to happen at all costs,” I admitted as flashbacks took place and I tried hard to not become an emotional wreck in front of someone that I didn’t even know. Although, I was finally aware of what took place earlier, the realization of how heartbroken I must have made the twins feel.

Adrian actually rolled his eyes at my confession, “Please, I beg of you to stop talking in such a puzzling manner and be straightforward with me.”

I laughed softly as he reminded me of Danny with his low tolerance for confusing descriptions of things or events.

“If you insist, I have been mated to two Alphas for the last few years and avoided the mate pull. Earlier today, I idiotically did something that I shouldn’t have to result in the Alphas knowing that I was their true mate. I was under pressure and in front of the two of them. Hence, the choice that I made was to teleport to anywhere else other than that place,” I said with one breath of air before I regretted spilling my secret to yet another person.

Adrian stopped walking and put his hand in the air to stop me, “Wait, two Alphas?”

“Yeah, I’m pretty lucky,” I sighed in a thoughtful expression as I thought of Kaspar and Kasey.

“Well, I only knew part of your story, not that there were two mates involved,” he said as I scrunched my nose in confusion.

“How did you any of what I told you? And I meant to ask you why everyone in this realm dresses so similarly to me. Another mindless question, is what exactly is your kind called?”

As I bombarded him with questions, he grinned and continued to fly beside him, “Well first, my kind and I are known as elves. I figure that you don’t get out a lot. And elves are always known for dressing this way, the real question would be… Why is a Fae like yourself dressing like an Elf?”

He did have a valid point, all of the Fae dressed so differently than I and then when I teleport to this realm, I seem to dress like the rest of the elves.

I shrugged my shoulders, “I am not particularly sure, my mother dressed this way as well. She was also the only Fae beside me to wear this attire.”

“Ah, my daughter always stayed true to herself and her heritage,” Adrian said with a smile.

I froze in my spot as I started to put the missing puzzle pieces in the right places, it all had finally made sense. My beloved mother always wore cloaks and pointed, leather boots because that was how she was raised. She never had her wings due to human torture because she never had them in the first place.

Now, as I stared at Adrian, I could see the resemblance between my mother and her father. If the male before me was my mother’s father, that must mean that he was my grandfather. A wide smile crept onto my face as I figured everything out in a matter of seconds.

I purposely flew into his front side and wrapped my arms around him. Adrian chuckled and returned the hug, holding me tight.

“Welcome home, young one.”

Kasey’s POV

“Eli, no!” I yelled for Eli as he already vanished to who knows where.

I was on my knees, close to tears when Kaspar knelt beside me and placed a hand on my shoulder for support. If anyone should feel sorrow and pain, it should be Kaspar. I had the chance to savor the mate bond with Elian and Kaspar never did. Though, he was the strong one, he always was.

Somehow, when I went to kiss Elian earlier, I knew that he was our mate. There wasn’t a single bone in my body that doubted the certainty I had felt concerning the mate pull that I had felt with Eli. And when we kissed, I had to keep my wolf at bay because I had definitely been right. Now, that I remember the kiss and relived it, I whimpered at the lost of contact I felt with him.

When he rejected Kaspar and I, my wolf practically begging for Elian to accept us as his mates. Werewolves, especially Alphas, do not tolerate the act of begging others for the things they desired. I’d do anything to have Eli take Kaspar and I as his mates. I should have marked him when I had the chance, even if he hated Kaspar and I forever.

As much as I was elated to discover that he was our mate, it was confusing to figure out why he wouldn’t want to be our mate. Alphas did need heirs for the pack, but there would always be a solution to a problem if we faced it together. Elian needed to understand that he didn’t need to carry all infinite realms on his shoulders. Open-minded and calm was what he needed to be the next time we have a long talk with him.

Now, we have no clue as to where he was. We were supposed to protect him from all dangers, now our possessiveness was about to reach a whole new level due to the disappearance of our mate. The Fae warrior that Kaspar and I had found on the loveseat with Elian entered the room timidly.

I rose from the floor while Kaspar did so too.

“What?” I snapped, irritated at myself and everyone else.

“Where is Elian? We heard a lot of loud yelling,” he nervously asked.

Kaspar’s face drained of color as he realized that we had no idea, “He teleported to wherever he wanted to, I suppose.”

“Was he experiencing intense emotions at the time?” The Fae warrior oddly questioned.

Kaspar and I nodded, allowing the male to sigh heavily, “Elian might not even know where he is himself.”

And with that, he rushed down the stairs and into the living room. When we followed him, there was the group of Fae warriors listening intently to what the other one was saying. Apparently since they were connected to Elian in some way, they could track Elian and transport themselves to him.

“Wait, what does that mean?” I asked.

“When a Fae teleports in that state of mind, they can end up anywhere,” Daniel stated as he returned to his coffee as I growled.

Kaspar and I demanded the Fae warrior, who was called Nikolai, to take us to Elian. Nikolai said it was strictly prohibited to take a non-Fae being through teleportation. If anyone was going to go after Eli, it would be us.

“Christ,” Nikolai muttered before he held out his hand.

I grasped his hand and Kaspar held onto another Fae warrior’s hand. Right before we were going to be teleported, Caspian, Cara, and Daniel were saying their goodbyes. We would definitely be visiting soon, I thought to myself.

Kaspar and I quickly thanked them for their hospitality and the tips that they had given us about Elian being our mate.

Then, as if everything vanished, there was a bright light surrounding me.
