22- Jealousy Is Hot
Restless In Hiding (Boyxboyxboy)
*Picture Reference: Hot, hot ass Alphas.*
**[A/N]: This is quite the fluffy chapter, just about the twins and Elian. :) Hope you like it. Just a warning, this book will end pretty soon, I think in like five or less chapters. Just prepare yourselves, but do not worry, there will be more in the next book! Please comment, I definitely felt better after reading the last ones.**
Elian's POV
"Elian, please, you need to calm down and think positively for everyone else. If you are worrying the way that you are in front of others, they have no other influence than to panic the way that you currently are."
I deeply breathed in and out, trying to relax for the sake of everyone. Needing advice and reassurance that this problem with Aeron will soon be gone, I sent a Fae warrior of mine to the realm of the elves and sent a letter to my grandparents. Surprisingly, I simply expected a letter in person, not a visit from the two of them. According to Adrian, it should have just been a visit from himself but my grandmother, Iliana, didn't take no as an answer. I loved her for her notions to stick up for herself, regardless of the traditional gender roles. So, here they stood in front of me as I paced the room in a hasty manner.
"Besides, we have good news, well it depends on whether or not you believe if it is good or not," Iliana stated with a small smile.
I nodded, gesturing for her to continue, "Well, your grandfather and I have set insiders in Aeron's castle to pose as his people and-."
"Are you insane?! How could you place your people in harm's way? What if they were discovered? You would then be in war with Aeron instead of us," I blurted out in concern.
Iliana rolled her eyes as Adrian chuckled at the state I was in, "Will you allow me to continue? And by the way, the elves that I placed with Aeron are highly trained. I wouldn't have allowed them to go if they weren't prepared and if I didn't have my utmost confidence within them. Besides, we have only just found you and I couldn't bear to lose you so soon."
Her beautiful eyes that held great pain and sorrow from past experience from losing my mother were shiny and glossy from unshed tears. I calmly flew over and pulled her into my arms, I wanted to take away all of the dreadful feelings of hers. She laughed at herself and shook her head when I released her from my embrace.
"Alright, enough of that! I am supposed to be the bearer of good news! Aeron isn't supposed to come for another week or so, because he apparently has to revise his plan of attack. I thought you should know so you have more time to get everything situated without being so tense."
Another week or so?!
I anticipated the attack to come any day now, so this was great news to hear. I thanked the two of them for all of their help and promised that I would be back later to talk with one another about what they should do next. As much as I wanted them to stay to be near me and all, I couldn't possibly be that selfish to jeopardize their lives.
When I exited the room, I mentally out to my mates and immediately felt their endless flow of love and compassion. Whenever I found myself away from them, even though it wasn't often, all I had to do was think of the slightest thought that could be tied to them and I would be overcome with protection for the two of them. If I closed my eyes for long enough and pictured the connection that I have with each one, there are different colored blurs that glow brightly which represent the love and other unexplainable emotions that I feel for them and vice versa. Somehow, I don't think I can ever fully explain how I feel about Kaspar and Kasey, it's far too difficult. They are too good for me.
"Mate, go to our guest room, please love," Kasey kindly asked and I obliged.
Once I reached our room in the Salina pack house, there was nothing but a bag and a small piece of paper on top of the perfectly made bed. My hand reached out for the bag and inside was an outfit that resembled the ones that I normally wear back home. I ran my hands over the soft joggers and pair of soft boots, sighing at the familiarity that I felt. Honestly, this could have made my night already. The note was laying on the bed when I placed the clothes down and unfolded the note.
"Home is where your heart lies.
Your heart lies within us as it is with us.
Follow the lit path from your favorite scene until you find home."
My heart was pounding in my chest in joy and then I laughed at the other side of the note.
"Just get your ass over here before you get punished again!
Unless you like that kinky shit. ;)
P.S. This was all Kasey..."
Punished again? Oh, it was when we encountered that friendly human the other day. I could remember that day in the supermarket as if it were yesterday...
As the twins and I were going over the plans of what we were going to do with the Salina Pack, one of its pack members was a warrior I believe that was covering security detail and he was munching loudly on an odd bag of fried, round circles. He was small for an average sized wolf and looked quite lost, kind of how Nikolai seemed to look a few months back.
Maia looked over her shoulder, "Heath, really?"
The boy, Heath, looked confused at first as he slowly munched on the snack and then his eyes widened once he realized what he was doing.
"Sorry, Alpha, I'll go put these away."
Curiosity got the best of me as I opened my mouth to stop him from leaving, "Wait, what is that?"
He turned around and raised the bag higher, "This?"
With a shy nod, he furrowed his eyebrows before answering, "A bag of chips..."
"Where do you get that bag of chips?"
"The store."
"Do you think there is more there?"
"Uh, yeah, it's the store..."
Before I could ask him where I should go, Kaspar touched my shoulder and whispered in my ear, "We'll go fetch some later baby."
After the meeting, the Alphas and I decided to go hunting for a store where they should have those bag of chips. We went by ourselves because we really haven't done anything alone and even a small trip to a store is better than nothing. As we piled into the pickup truck that we rented for our stay here and as always I was stuck between the two of them.
"Eli, you really have never had chips before?"
I shook my head, "I told you already, the diet in the castle is organic and healthy. And something is telling me that chips aren't healthy, are they?"
They both chuckled before shaking their heads.
We soon pulled into a large lot with many cars, all different models and colors. Next to the lot was one of the biggest buildings I had ever seen, there were huge letters on the surface of the front side of the building that spelled out, WALMART.
In the store, were aisles and aisles of anything you could imagine! The markets back in the realm of the Fae were simple produce markets, calm and well-collected. In there, were children and parents arguing about getting one thing or the other, about prices, or just really talking loud in general. We'd pass a few containers that held toys or other products and some fell out onto the ground so I would pick it up and place it back into the container.
"Hey, there are workers that are going to pick up fallen products," Kasey mentioned.
"Okay, and? I'm helping them out," I answered back and he raised his eyebrows in response.
A few aisles more and we stood in front of the aisle that held the most bags of chips I have ever seen, well I had only seen one so far, but still. I suppose that I was so elated, that I didn't notice that my wings were out, fluttering in excitement as my eyes grazed all of the different kinds of chips that were there.
"Elian! Your wings!" Kaspar hissed.
I noticed and frowned, "Sorry."
He approached me and kissed my forehead, "I'm sorry for being rude like that. I just don't want others that don't understand your kind to notice and take you away from us. Now, I'm a little hesitant to go and retrieve a cart..."
"A cart for what?"
"Are you only planning to purchase one bag of chips?" He asked.
"No! When am I going to find myself in a store anytime soon?"
He laughed and the two of them reluctantly went to get a cart, after I promised to stay right where I was, of course. When they left the aisle, I was picking up bags, looking at them and then placing them back down. I dropped a bag during the process, and I heard a laugh by me. Turning my head, I found a young man that seemed to be an employee of WALMART, with his dark, navy shirt and khaki pants. He had a name tag with the name, Piers.
"Having trouble there?" He grinned.
I smiled and nodded, "There are just so many. What is your favorite?"
"Hm, hard choice, I'd have to say the white cheddar cheese doodles," he chose as he patted my shoulder.
With a nervous smile, I nodded and went to get those. I approached him with the bag.
"Is this it?"
He nodded and then frowned, "You have something right there."
His finger pointed to his face, right below his right eye. I mimicked him and rubbed a finger of mine underneath my right eye.
"No, you didn't get it. Let me," he reached for my face as I was about to protest and just tell him that I'd get it later.
"You wouldn't believe how many bad carts they have in this store. We found one though! It took for-"
My head whipped around and saw my Alphas by the beginning of the aisle with a cart. They were tense and annoyed already before even knowing what was going on. As I was staring back at them, the kid still had his finger underneath my eye! I slowly took his finger away from my face.
"Hey, what're you doing?" Kaspar questioned.
Before I could answer him, Piers stupidly answered for me.
"Excuse me? Who are you? What does it matter what we're doing? It doesn't concern you," he confidently pointed out.
I held back a laugh as the twins became furious, "You're excused. We're with him, you annoying pest. Elian, ready to go?"
With a nod, I just put any bag that looked good into the cart and left without saying bye to Piers. As we left the aisle, he called out to me.
"You're just going to let them boss you around like that? Some kind of man you are."
My voice was caught in my throat as Kasey answered for me, "He obviously doesn't have time for petty people like yourself."
As we left the aisle, Kasey grabbed a bag from the rack and dropped it on the floor. He repeated the notion until the end of the aisle and then turned around.
"Looks like you should get to work, Piers," he advised as he said the boy's name completely wrong that it sounded like the word, purse.
When we returned to the pack house with fifty bags of chips in the vehicle, I got punished for flirting. I wasn't really complaining, I figured that jealous Alphas are the best kind of Alphas.
A smile appeared on my face as I was thinking about that day. I took less than five minutes the shrug the clothing on and thought of where my favorite scene was, and it hit me, the garden! A thousand smiles and waves later through the pack house, I reached the door to the gardening area and like the note had said, there were floating sparks of fire in two columns that led a path into the forest. I hesitantly followed the path until I reached a great lake that was surrounded with man made sand, and on the sand was a thin blanket.
"Hey babe," Kasey greeted as he grinned.
"Hi," I said, breathless in shock.
These two will be the death of me. I felt overwhelmed by the gesture that I just stood there in front of the two men that I can never be able to thank enough for the endless love and care that they provide for me. When I wake up every day, I reach out for them and when I even have errands and plans to make, they are always in the spotlight of my mind. And, I wouldn't have it any other way. Why did it take me so long to realize that this is what I needed in my life? I held back the connection for so long, for foolish reasons. I held back my love for them, and then, they act as if I haven't done any harm. Instead, they shower me with passion. I don't deserve them at all.
My throat starts to become incredibly dry and soon enough, my cheeks are wet and I am embarrassingly sobbing in front of them.
"Shit, I knew that this was too much for him, Kasey," Kaspar cursed and started to scoop me up in his arms as he sat on the blanket.
"We've drove him away for good now!" Kasey mumbled as he ran his fingers through his hair.
I started to laugh and cry at the same time because of their stupidity. Pure confused expressions settled onto their faces as I laughed more.
"What the hell?"
"Are you being possessed right now?"
"Wait, can Fae PMS?"
I wiped my tears, smiling at the two of them as I decided I should end their confusion once and for all.
"You two are amazing, you know that?"
Kasey smirked, "Well, we try."
"I was crying because I am incredibly emotional. And because I don't deserve you, I don't even if you tell me that it's the other way around."
"Elian, please, stop saying that," Kaspar pleaded as I shook my head.
"Okay, fine. You know how you will be able to deserve us? If you say yes to everything we ask of you," Kasey offered.
I slowly nodded, still puzzled as to what he was getting at.
"Ready for your first question?"
With a hesitant nod, Kaspar quickly slipped a cold string of metal with two dangling pieces around my neck and fastened it in the back and then the two of them simultaneously asked the question.
"Will you marry us?"
