11- Sneaky Alphas and All
Restless In Hiding (Boyxboyxboy)
*Picture Reference: The picture of the cabin is the setting for the last scene of the chapter, so don't mind it for now.*
**Quick A/N: Thank you for the feedback on whether or not the chapters should be long or short, I appreciate it. I will keep them quite lengthy and once a week, maybe twice if I am lucky with my time management. Which rarely happens... This is the longest chapter by far, hope you enjoy it and are having a good time during your spring break!**
Elian's POV
I never understood the television's portrayal of an awkward dinner with your significant others and your family members at the same time, until now. There were many wrong details at this dinner, beginning with the missing Alpha.
After Kaspar and I finished with our intense spur of the moment kind of thing, we tried to straighten each other out to make it a little less unnoticable for it to be obvious that we were being sexual in my grandparents' home. When I reached the kitchen, the longest table I had ever seen was set up and everyone was already seated. As I took a seat next to the head of the table, Adrian, I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Kaspar took a seat next to me and my eyes rested upon the only empty chair, Kasey's chair.
I just hope he is okay wherever he is at the moment, he didn't know where he was to begin with. To say in simpler words, I was not strong enough to endure the pain I would experience if anything had ever happened to him. Not to mention, that it would be because of me, I am the one that riled him up. I felt a large, warm hand envelope over my own underneath the table and on my lap.
"Where is Kasey?" Iliana asked with concern etched on her face.
Her question returned my state of mind to reality, "He decided that he was in desperate need of a run, to release his werewolf is all."
She nodded slowly as if she could tell that I was slightly lying to her face. I swallowed sharply and waited for everyone to dig into their meals before I did. It was quiet at the table, quiet like no one actually heard what was going on earlier. I wish someone would address the matters, if I do, it seems like I am craving attention. For one, these past events were embarrassing to say the least.
"Lord Elian, I have no means of snooping around but the fact that the Alphas are your mates is pretty evident. Can you confirm this so I am sure that this information is true?" One of my Fae warriors, Trace, asked. I knew that these questions would arise anyways, so I was at least prepared to some extent.
I nodded, as I glanced at Kaspar with a smile, "Yes, the Alphas are my mates, but the matter of us staying as true mates will be difficult to figure out but I promise you that I will try my best."
He nodded and returned to his meal, I decided that I would at least rethink my previous decision to decline to the mating of the Alphas and I. I had to at least give this a shot before I turned it down for not even trying.
Even though, I was willing to reevaluate my possible solution to my problem, I decided to keep that to myself for now.
"Are you delighted to have Elian as your true mate with Kasey?" Nikolai asked, definitely directing the question to Kaspar.
Kaspar nodded, "Absolutely, I am honored to be mated to such a beautiful person, not only his physical appearance but his actions and kind words that always lifts others' spirits and I am sure that Kasey would agree fully with that statement."
A heated blush rose to my cheeks as I stole a glance of Kaspar smiling down at me.
"What about you, Elian? Are you happy to have two hotheaded Alphas as a mate?" Jasper asked as he smirked.
I decided to let the deepest feelings of mine leave my mouth when I answered, "The two of them are so caring and forgiving. Although they are hotheaded like I often am, they both have a fiery passion for others that drives them to do better by those people. Great leaders as well and anyone would be lucky to be their mate."
It was silent as Kaspar and I stared at one another for a few quiet beats, just the two of us and no one else. My pleading to be forgiven yet again for all of the things I had said earlier were reflected in my eyes as his dark, ocean blue eyes were wide with forgiveness and relief. If only Kasey were here, with me, with us. I was only present in our little world, until Maddox rudely interrupted.
"I, for one, am glad to have you as my Luna," he said with a grin.
I thanked him and we returned to the meals before us.
There were small conversations here and there until one of the other four Fae warriors, Julian, stood up in rage and confusion.
"How can you all be okay with this?"
His wings extended outward and he flew out of the room, and into the garden that I have become incredibly familiar with. I stood up, with my chair pushed back and almost chased after him until a hand grasped my wrist, halting me from my actions.
I looked at the owner of the hand and glared at Kaspar, "Kas, let me go, now."
"No, he is incredibly angry and could unintentionally hurt you in his emotional state of mind," he said, his tone wavered as if he begged me to stay.
But, I couldn't.
"Julian is one of my own and he is hurt, don't tell me that you wouldn't do this for your pack."
A scowl appeared on his face, mad that I used that example against him, but we shouldn't start creating double standards right now or ever. He finally sighed and released his hold on me, which allowed me to go into the garden to pacify Julian.
Once I left the castle doors in the back, I immediately found Julian sat on the infamous bench with his head in his hands.
As soon as I sat next to him, he froze and lifted his head with an ashamed expression.
"Lord Elian, I am terribly sorry, what I did and said in there was anything but respectful," he explained.
I softly smiled, "It's perfectly fine, actually, just for this time. It was driving me crazy for everyone to believe that this was the norm around here. I was just like you when I had found out that I was mated to the Alphas, I was resistant. Hell, I am still resistant now."
Julian visibly relaxed a little as I reassured him, "I just didn't want you to mate with them due to the endless problems that would arise. How would you stay with them if you have a kingdom to rule? Or vice-versa. All I'm saying is that I am concerned for you, Lord Elian. I didn't mean to insult you in any way back there."
"Well, you don't need to be concerned. That is the job of his mates," an all too familiar voice said as I turned around to find Kasey in these shorts that humans always wore in Italy.
His well-defined chest was in clear view for everyone who wanted to spectate, and it made me want to fly over and wrap my body around his upper torso to shield it from the horny eyes of everyone else.
"I am one of his people, I have a right to care for my leader as he does with me," Julian said as he challenged Kasey to say anything else.
Males are so hardheaded and irritating, wait, I'm a male... I'm a definitely different though.
"Don't worry, I have got him," Kasey said as he came over to me and picked me up.
I was laid over one of his shoulders, protesting him to let me down this instant, but he only did the most sexual thing in return as he headed inside of the castle.
He smacked my behind, how dare he?
"Don't make me do it again, as much as I want to. To punish you for having a sexual release earlier without me," he said with irritation and amusement laced in his tone.
I huffed and pouted until we made it into the kitchen. All eyes were upon me as I was placed in my chair like one of the pups in the Celestial Hala Pack and Kasey sat on the other side of me, allowing me to be next to both Alphas.
"Nice of you to join us, Kasey," Adrian said with a smirk directed at me.
I glared back as Kasey spoke, "Thank you, I wouldn't want to miss Iliana's cooking for the world. Just needed air for a few moments."
Inwardly, I grimaced at his reason for needing air, it was truly my fault that I had angered him to a point that he'd left.
The rest of the people at the table had already eaten in our absence and excused themselves to start preparing for bed, apparently they were packing for tomorrow's trip, which I was not aware of until now. Left at the table, were the Alphas and I. My grandparents decided that they needed to be watering their plants at this time of night, together.
Odd.
"What were the Fae warriors and werewolves talking about when they said that they were packing for tomorrow?" I asked whomever wanted to answer my question, irritated that no one ran this by me.
"We are traveling to Greece tomorrow for some important business," Kaspar said as Kasey was devouring food next to me.
The Mediterranean Sea was right off of the coast of Greece, where Cara, Caspian, and Danny's people lived. But I wondered why I would need to go there... Not that I knew where many supernatural races lived, but Greece didn't really make a bold statement in my head for a certain species.
"What business?"
"You'll know when we get there," said Kasey with a knowing smile.
I shook my head in disbelief that they were persistent in being secretive, "I am allowed to know where we are going, or else I will just stay here."
"Oh really? Then so be it, we'll see you next year for the annual Celestial Hala Pack festival," Kasey said with an amused expression and raised eyebrows.
I crossed my hands over my chest and stood up, "I suppose so. And I think the two of you could find another room to sleep in for tonight."
"Goodnight," the two of them yelled in a cheery tone as I made my way up the stairs.
When I finally settled into bed, I finished the novel about werewolves that I was reading. At times, I was about to ask on of the twins what the author had meant, but then quickly noticed that I had kicked them out of the room for the night. I had to resist myself from succumbing to them and begging them to come to bed. Even with all of the blankets that I had piled on top of me, I was still shivering in the coldness of the atmosphere. Afterwards, my eyes became too heavy for me to keep open and I was finally falling into a deep slumber. Before I was fully asleep, I felt the weight of the bed shift on both sides of me.
Heat immediately surrounded me and with a sigh, I didn't want to fight them this time.
Darkness welcomed me with open arms and I gladly accepted it.

The blanket was ripped away from my clutching hands as the cold air hit every part of my body, exposed or not.
"Wakey, wakey babe," Kasey's childish voice rung through the guest bedroom.
I rolled over in the bed and curled into a ball to stay warm, "I'm not going anywhere, remember? So, have a fun trip."
My voice didn't even sound like myself, I noted, before Kasey sighed and crawled onto the bed to hover over my curled up self. He started to nudge his soft nose into my neck and murmur words of persuasion.
"I know that you'll miss us as much as we'll miss you. Don't make this trip unbearable for us, Eli. I am positive that you will love where we are going, it is a surprise after all," he said and then started leaving small, feather-like kisses on my neck.
I tried to hide a smile but it was incredibly hard to do so that Kasey had already caught me.
"I'll see you downstairs for breakfast and then we will be on our way," he said as he triumphantly hopped off of the bed and was about to leave the room till I called for him.
"Wait!"
"What? Everything okay?" The concern was clear on his face as he kept asking if I was okay.
I laughed, confusing him even more, "What kind of clothing should I wear?"
"Oh, well, we will be driving there first of all, so we are going to Cara and Caspian's house again. And then we will be stopping here and there for food where humans eat, so human clothes for now, please."
I sighed and nodded, then he left and I made it way to the bathroom.
Later on, after dressing myself and packing my belongings, I made my way downstairs for breakfast. Once, I reached the kitchen, I was immediately attacked with a hug from my grandparents.
"Promise us that you will be safe out there," Adrian pleaded in a desperate voice.
"We just got you, only to say goodbye again. The both of us are incredibly proud of you and what you have done for your people," Iliana said, with a tear or two of hers on my neck.
I hugged back, feeling the waterworks coming, but held them back for their sake.
"I promise with all of my heart, I will be sure to visit often after this trip."
They released me and smiled, promising that they will visit me as well.
Throughout breakfast, I had tried not to think about what I was leaving behind today, but it was hard to even focus on what I was eating. At the end of breakfast, we all bid our goodbyes and joined hands with the werewolves that were unable to teleport. The Alphas held each of my hands and each Fae warrior took the hands of Maddox, Arvel, and Jasper.
In a flash, we were outside of the familiar house that I had escaped from a few days ago.
"Elian!" Danny yelled as he flung himself onto me when I made it into the house with everyone else behind me.
I hugged him back and for a few hours, I stayed in the kitchen telling the three merpeople of my grandparents, the ongoing complications of the mating, and where I was headed to next. Smiles and frowns were all around me as I told my tale that lasted two days but consisted of so many life changing occurrences.
"Well, I hope you figure out the rest soon. Caspian and I will always be here for you. And I doubt that Daniel will ever leave you alone now," Cara said with an amused smile.
I nodded, and another wave of goodbyes happened and soon enough, we were piled into the cars.
"Ready for yet another fun car ride?" Jasper joked as I rolled my eyes, in between the Alphas was not fun at all.
>>
A day or two later, the cars pulled up to a massive cabin that had smaller cabins behind it that could probably fit a few hundred altogether. The Alphas both stood in front of me, completely blocking my view until I stood on my toes to peek over their shoulders. The cabin was surrounded by forest green trees and there was a lawn in front of the cabin, where families and a few transformed pups were playing in the bright, green grass.
Okay, so we we're at a pack's grounds... Why?
As we stepped out of the car, two males emerged from the front door, holding hands. The more dominant looking man released the shorter man's hand and came toward us.
"Kaspar! Kasey! It is so good to see the two of you. It's been a long time," he said as he hugged the two of them.
And then the twins moved over to reveal myself to the man, "Oh, who is this?"
"This is Elian, our mate, but he isn't like us. He is the leader of the Fae," Kasey mentioned.
The man, like everyone else who had met me for the first time, bowed down to me. At times, I just wanted a single handshake or a hug, but I guess it was a sign of respect.
When he rose from his previous position, he introduced himself, "It's an honor to meet you, my name is Stefan. And, wait, Zane! Come over here!"
The smaller male approached the two of us with a shy smile and latched onto Stefan's side.
"This is my mate, Zane," Stefan said with a loving smile.
Oh, those sneaky Alphas.
