Chapter 5
Love Addiction: Doting On My Love
âWhat do you want from me?â she murmured. She did not believe the old manâs words.
He pondered for a moment before saying gravely, âThere are consequences for every action. Youâre just reaping what you sowed.â
That was so unhelpful! It was like he did not say anything at all!
âAlso, Master Lucius is now more powerful than before. If you donât want to get innocent people into trouble, itâs better if you donât seek help from them.â
George Murrell, the butler, bent down and picked up the phone before putting it into his pocket.
He then asked a servant to set up Violetâs meal before he said, âMadam, you should eat.â
Then, he left. It might only be a fleeting glance, but Violet noticed the servantâs disdainful gaze as the servant followed after George.
She did not have an appetite for food right now. She felt utterly helpless after losing her only means to get help. She pursed her lips in distress as she sat on the floor.
What could she do to make Lucius believe that she was not Agatha?
Imperial Palace loomed over the lakeside at the base of the mountain. Even though it was late at night, its majestic structure could still be seen.
Suddenly, a beam of light shot through. The plants by the lake bowed under the force of the wind as a helicopter landed. Its light passed through a window and shone on Violet, who was sleeping in a room.
Despite the loud noise of the helicopter, she only adjusted her sleeping position. The excellent soundproofed room ensured that she was not disturbed in the slightest. She curled up in a ball with her head on her palms as she displayed a strong sense of insecurity.
A few minutes later, the door flew open.
Violet jolted awake at the sudden loud noise and the gust of wind that entered the room. She sat up quickly, but her head was still fuzzy with sleep. She was unable to discern what had happened. She looked around for the source of the noise and saw a tall figure striding toward her. Before she could figure out who he was, the person had already bent down and lifted her up. She felt a searing pain shoot through her arms.
âYouâre actually looking for another man while youâre in my mansion?!â
Lucius spoke coldly through clenched teeth. Violet could even hear his teeth grinding. This finally fully woke her up.
âIt hurts⦠Let goâ¦â
His fingers felt like strong claws that dug so deep into her that she was in great pain, and she could not understand what he was saying. She struggled to break free, but he held on even tighter and lifted her up to look at him. âYou canât go a night without a man touching you, can you?â
âWhat⦠What are you saying? Iâ¦â She was puzzled when she saw how furious he was. She wanted to explain, but the pain rendered her speechless as her face twisted in agony.
âOliver is notâ¦â
âOliver?â
He smirked in a sinister manner. âSo, Edur doesnât even satisfy you now, huh? Youâre now flirting with Oliver already. Agatha, youâre really shameless!â
âWhoâs Edurâ¦?â
âI wonder what Oliver will think of you when he finds out youâre someoneâs wife and how shameless you are.â
âW-Whatâ¦?â
Violet was perplexed.
Lucius let her down.
She hurriedly massaged her sore spots when she was finally freed from the pain. Even without looking, she knew those spots were swollen.
âLucius, weâreâMmh.â
She tried to speak to him, but he did not let her. He kissed her, and this caught her by surprise. She did not know what to do.
Didnât he hate her? Why was he suddenly kissing her?
That was her first kiss. He stole her first kiss!
How could heâ¦
Lucius touched her body in an assertive and rough manner. He even tore her already tattered clothes.
She shuddered in fear as she struggled to stop him. He was relentless and overpowered her easily.
She stood no chance against him. Soon, she became completely helpless in his hands.
