Chapter Twenty Five

Forever Yours

Andrew's POV

I walked out of her office like she had requested and leaned on the wall. I was so happy to see her but it was like she wasn't.

Apart from the obvious issue between us, it felt like there was something else, something she was deliberately hiding from me. I couldn't quite place my finger on it but I could feel it.

I know things are messed up between us, but I'm willing to set things straight, I'm always willing to set things right with her, no matter what it takes.

I heard footsteps approaching me and I looked up. I knew it was him, I didn't need anyone to tell me who was in front of me. He looked way better in person and I wouldn't blame anyone who fell for him.

He saw me and his steps faltered. He looked at me from head to toe and I could only imagine what he was thinking about me.

"You must be Andrew," he said as he came to a halt in front of me.

I stood up straighter. We were fairly the same height and though I worked out, he obviously worked out more than I did.

"And you must be Miles," I stated as we stared at each other.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Victoria talks about you a lot." He stuck out his hand at me, offering a handshake.

I looked at his hand then at him, "likewise." I shook his hand and forced a smile.

"Is she in?" He nodded to the door I just stepped out of.

I nodded, "yeah sure." I moved out of his way and let him go in, knowing that he'd be out of there in a second.

I know Victoria very well, if she doesn't want to speak to me then the chances of her speaking to anyone else were slim, especially Miles.

He nodded and opened the door, stepping in.

"What are you doing here?" I heard her say before the door closed.

If he stays in there for more than one minute, then sue me. I leaned back in the wall and began to count down the seconds before Miles would come out.

Fifty nine seconds and the door opened, Miles stepped out with a frown on his face. I looked at him and smirked.

"What did you say wrong?" I folded my arms and watched him.

"I have no idea," he ran his hand through his hair and began pacing the hallway.

I chuckled, somehow finding amusement in his frustration. Though I know exactly how he feels but the thought that someone feels the same kind of frustration I always feel makes me amused. Sick I know, but it's Miles we're talking about here.

"Maybe you should just go, this is between Victoria and I, you have nothing to do here," I said hoping that he would disapear.

He looked at me and slowly the corners of his lips tilted slightly. "I would have gone, if she didn't kiss me last night so I'm sure this has everything to d-"

I didn't let him finish his sentence before my fist interrupted him, punching him square in the face.

He held his nose and he looked at me, "I didn't really deserve that. After all she-"

Once again, he didn't finish his sentence before my fist met his face. This time a smug look took over is face and I rose my hand to punch him again but a hand stopped me this time.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Funke said, appearing out of nowhere, her hand holding mine suspended in the air.

I dropped my hand, "ask him."

She looked at Adrian, "what is he talking about?"

"Victoria and I kissed last night I was just inf-"

This time Funke's palm connected with his face and his eyes widened. He surely wasn't expecting that, I wasn't either.

"You did what?" She yelled, drawing attention to people in the hallway.

He didn't speak again just looking at Funke and his hand on his cheek she had slapped.

Right now, it looked like Funke was the only reasonable person amongst us. She was always the mediator. And I'm pretty sure she's the only one that Victoria would talk to at the moment, and probably Adrian too.

"Funke I think you should calm down," Adrian now stepped in, pulling her to himself.

"How do you expect me to calm down when these two idiots keep messing things up!" She pointed at both Miles and I.

Miles looked shocked at her words and I just stood there, already used to it. She definitely hasn't gotten angry with him.

"Why can't you guys just use your head sometimes," she yelled and this time stormed into Victoria's office.

Victoria's POV

My door opened and this time I was ready to yell at him but stopped when I heard Funke's voice.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She didn't stop until she was in front of me.

"What are you talking about?" I was utterly confused.

"You kissed Miles?" Her voice held dissapointment and her face said it, she wasn't happy.

I sighed, dropping my pen on the desk. "He kissed me first," I said in my defense.

Her face squeezed her nose scrunched up in confusion, "and you kissed him back. That doesn't change anything."

"Yes I kissed him back," I stood up and walked to my windows. "I didn't know what I was doing but I did. And I stopped him before it could go too far."

I heard her footsteps approach me, "how? I mean how did it happen in the first place, you told me all that happened last night."

I sighed, "I deliberately skipped that part, if I knew that Miles was going to tell you then I would have told you earlier."

"So if Miles didn't tell me, would you still have told me?" I felt her beside me now.

"I would have, when I was thinking properly," i told her truthfully. "If Andrew hadn't appeared here this morning then I would have told you this morning."

"About that," this time her face held guilt.

My eyes widened, "you knew?"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't tell you last night, I wanted to tell you face to face. I wasn't even expecting him to get here before me." She pulled her puppy look. "I'm sorry."

"I know how irrational he can be at times so it's fine, I would just really like a heads up next time." I smiled at her. "He kissed me this morning and-" I paused not knowing how to tell her. "I just couldn't."

"Do you like Miles?"

"I don't know, it's confusing. I like being around him, I blush like crazy when he does little things and when we kissed, I felt sparks allover, it was carzy," I sighed. "But with Andrew, it's different, a lot more than I feel around Miles."

"I understand how you feel, you have a crush on Miles and you're in love with Andrew, it's that simple." She said.

"It's not simple Funke, how can I love one and like one?" I threw my hands in the hair, not understanding anything.

"Miles was there when Andrew wasn't and you began to grow attached, enjoying the little moments with him. I don't know if I'm wrong but I believe that's what it is," she was now standing beside me. "You have to tell them."

"Them?" I was more confused now.

"Andrew and Miles, clear things up. Let Miles know that it was a mistake and make it clear that you love Andrew. And for Andrew, no need to tell him how you feel about Miles, just reassure him that you love him," she advised and I nodded.

She just helped me a lot because I had no idea what I was going to do. "Thanks Funke," I hugged her.

"Adrian is here," she stated when we pulled from the hug.

"You're joking," I pushed her slightly, already making my way to my door.

"I'm serious," she called after me but I had already opened my door and true to her words Adrian was standing there, in an obviously deep conversation with Andrew.

It's so nice to see both of them get along, because they never did, since day one and none of them has ever told me what exactly was wrong.

Miles was also standing in the hallway and his head shot up when I walked out but I ignored him and ran straight to Adrian.

"Adrian!" I called as I threw myself on him.

He caught me and held me close to him, "did you add weight?" He joked and I slapped the back of his head causing him to laugh.

"I missed you too," I said as we pulled away from the hug.

"Honestly, did you add weight?" He looked at me from head to toe and I glared at him.

"I think she did," Funke said now coming to stand beside me.

"What exactly are you doing here? I thought you weren't supposed to come till the wedding?"

"I had to make sure this one," he pointed to Andrew. "Doesn't do something stupid and we left so quick, I couldn't call you to give a heads up."

I looked at Andrew and he was looking right at me, a mixture of anger and fear in his eyes. He didn't say anything just watched us. I looked back at Adrian, "understood."

"Can you guys please excuse us for a second?" I gestured to both Miles and Andrew then Funke and Adrian nodded before heading for the elevator.

"Call us if you need anything," Funke said before the elevator doors closed.

"Can we talk?" I now turned to both men standing by my doorway. "Both of you."

They looked at themselves and nodded. I walked into my office and watched as both of them entered, Andrew being the last and he closed the door behind him.
