Zhao Yuxin looked at Xu Yang, her eyes filled with a questioning look.

Xu Yang spread his hands, “Don’t ask me, it must be the arrangement of the work team, whoever donates something, and under whose name it is donated, both people should take the stage.”

Wang Xiaocong said, “That’s right, I’ve attended many times, and that’s how it’s arranged. Little sister-in-law, just go on stage, it’s fine!”

As his voice fell, applause immediately broke out.

Brother Chen Long attended the Glamour of the Night event, donating a pair of sunglasses for auction, which sold for a million and was also tasked with presenting the Charity Star Seal.

Brother Chen Long came up from backstage, followed by a female staff member holding a box that had a square-shaped seal on it, at the center of which was a shining golden five-pointed star, under it four big characters – Charity Star.

Zhao Yuxin excitedly said, “Brother Chen Long, hello, I am a fan of your movies; I absolutely love your films. ‘The Story of Huang Feihong’ that you did with Xu Gu’er, I watched it when I was in middle school, and although I’m a girl, just hearing that song made me feel my blood boil!”

As she finished speaking, a burst of laughter rose from below the stage.

Chen Long was initially quite happy, but hearing her words, he could only offer a bitter smile, “Miss Zhao, ‘The Story of Huang Feihong’ was filmed by Li Lianjie and Xu Gu’er.”

When she finished speaking, the audience burst into laughter once again.

Chen Long gave a wry smile again, “Miss Shen, ‘The Way of the Dragon’ was a Bruce Lee movie.”

Shen Yuyan apologized, “Brother Chen Long, I’m sorry, I got it wrong.”

“No worries,” Chen Long smiled generously once more, fully demonstrating the demeanor of ‘Big Brother’.

Zhao Yuxin and Shen Yuyan exchanged smiles with each other.

Zhao Yuxin said to everyone, “Hello everyone, I truly am a fan of Brother Chen Long’s movies. I have watched all of Brother Chen Long’s films, the ‘Police Story’ series, the ‘Project A’ series, the ‘Rush Hour’ series, and many others. I’ve seen every single one, and some I’ve watched more than once. To be able to meet Brother Chen Long in person, I’m thrilled, so I made a little joke. I hope Brother Chen Long doesn’t mind.”

Shen Yuyan followed, “I am indeed a fan of Brother Chen Long too. His ‘Crime Story’, ‘Project Eagle’, ‘Baby Project’, ‘Twin Dragons’, ‘Who Am I’, and so on, I could only watch the old movies online, but whenever Brother Chen Long releases a new movie, I’ve always gone to the cinema to support it. Meeting Brother Chen Long for the first time, I’m also very excited, and I made a little joke too. I hope Brother Chen Long doesn’t mind.”

Chen Long smiled again, “Thank you both. I’m happy you enjoy my movies. Now, let’s proceed to present the Charity Star Seal to Miss Shen, and have Miss Zhao pass it on.”

After speaking, Chen Long took the seal from the staff member’s hands, handed it to Zhao Yuxin’s hands, and she in turn passed it onto Shen Yuyan’s hands.

The auctioneer announced, “Congratulations to Madam Shen Yuyan for receiving the Charity Star of this Glamour of the Night event!”

In an instant, thunderous applause filled the air.

Amid the applause, Zhao Yuxin and Shen Yuyan stepped down hand in hand and returned to their seats.

Xu Yang said, “I really didn’t expect you two to crack jokes.”

Zhao Yuxin was somewhat proud, “It just came to me on the spot.”

Shen Yuyan smiled and said, “As soon as I heard it, I knew that Yu Xin was joking, so I followed along.”

Zhao Yuxin took Shen Yuyan’s hand, “We really are in sync.”

Xu Yang was speechless, “Anyone who didn’t know better would think you two were the couple.”

Wang Xiaocong didn’t care about any of that and instead turned his attention to Li Guangming, who was about to leave, “Young Master Li, are you leaving? Have you forgotten something?”

Li Guangming pretended to be confused, “Forgotten what? I haven’t forgotten anything.”@@novelbin@@

Wang Xiaocong sneered, “You promised to bark like a dog three times in public—our wager. Everyone here witnessed it; don’t think you can get away with welching.”

Upon hearing his words, everyone around turned their attention to the scene.

Li Guangming’s face darkened, “Wang Xiaocong, don’t go too far!”

If he were to bark like a dog in public, he would lose all face.

Not only would he be embarrassed, but the Li Family would be humiliated as well.

Once back home, he would certainly be punished.

Wang Xiaocong said, “Am I being excessive? I’m merely asking you to honor our bet. ‘A gambler must accept loss,’ You wouldn’t be so unsportsmanlike, would you?”

He looked around at the crowd and said, “Everyone, tell me, am I being excessive in asking him to honor the bet?”

The onlookers, loving the drama, chimed in.

“Not excessive at all.”

“It’s a principle known to all: you have to abide by the bet.”

“If you can’t afford to lose, don’t bet. Since you bet and lost, you must admit defeat.”

Li Guangming glared at Wang Xiaocong with a sullen expression, “Wang Xiaocong, remember to leave a way out for others, so you may meet on good terms in the future. Everything in moderation. I already paid ten billion, you better not push me too far!”

Wang Xiaocong said, “Young Master Li, you’re taking the fun out of this. Since you’re unwilling, let’s just forget about it. I couldn’t care less about hearing you bark. I have a backup of what’s on that USB drive, so I might as well show everyone a little movie instead.”

“You!” Li Guangming turned ashen and, clenching his teeth, conceded, “You’re ruthless. Woof! Woof! Woof!”

With those words, Li Guangming quickly left, followed by Bai Kunyu.

The commotion here had already drawn everyone’s attention.

Hearing Li Guangming bark, the crowd was suddenly in an uproar.

“Damn, Li Guangming actually barked like a dog!”

“Being pushed to this by Wang Xiaocong, Li Guangming is really pitiful!”
