Chapter 6

From a Vampire's Brother to a Human's Mate (Book 2: Completed)

Dawn’s POV

I woke up in a haze. I was confused, my head was pounding and my body was tingling with pleasure in places it never had before.

Then I remembered the dream from last night. My head, buried in my pillow, muffled the involuntary moan that left my lips.

God, Tony was so damn hot! His chest was better than I imagined it . . .

But I had actually imagined his huge arms and ripped chest and those rough, large, caressing hands because they were all in my amazingly sexy dream. I rolled over and sat up and was shocked by the feeling of my sheets on my bare skin.

What? I thought Hannah left me in my underwear at least . . .

I looked around confused.

Suddenly my door was thrown open.

“Holy shit!” I gasped scrambling to cover myself.

“Oh calm down. It’s just me,” Hannah sighed.

“Oh, God, you scared me,” I breathed.

“Who did you think it was?” She asked walking over to my bed.

“No one,” I replied disappointed.

“What is this?” She leaned over and picked up a shred of lace.

I gasped and put my hand over my mouth.

“You and Ian had a little fun last night?” She wagged her eyebrows at me.

“Yes, yes, that is it,” I breathed removing my hand from my mouth.

It really happened! It really happened! It really happened!

Shut up!

Great, now I am talking to myself.

“Wow, he’s a kinky one,” She laughed. “Now get dressed, we are going shopping remember?” She pushed me and got up and walked out of my room.

I sat in bed for another minute replaying what happened last night in my head.

There is no way that really happened. Why would someone as hot as Tony go after me? I mean I am taken and broken and not even that attractive . . . I don’t get it. I must have dreamed it. It’s not like Ian hasn’t ripped my underwear before.

Then again I did not remember having sex with Ian last night. As a matter of fact I didn’t remember seeing Ian after I passed out in the kitchen with Tony.

God, I am so damn confused!

I got up and walked to bathroom to take a cold shower to wake myself up. I then threw my hair up in a ponytail, put on some shorts and a tank top, and walked down stairs.

“So, care to explain to me what the hell happened last night?” I asked Hannah as I poured myself a cup of coffee. “I mean I was supposed to be staying with Ian this weekend and he’s not here and  . . . I don’t remember anything,” I complained.

“Well, let’s talk as we clean this shit up,” Hannah suggested.

I sighed and nodded and we got to work cleaning the house thoroughly.

“From what I remember Julie and I got to the party and we went to go find you, but you weren’t ready yet and then the New Kids showed up and Julie was clinging to them for the rest of the night so I hardly saw her. I am actually pretty sure she went home with them,” Hannah shook her head. “Lucky bitch.”

I laughed nervously and waited for her to continue.

“After that I found you already half wasted and on your way to get another drink. You wouldn’t let me talk any sense into you. No matter what I did you would not listen to a word I was saying so I let you stumble off to the kitchen but I watched you.

Next thing I knew I found you in the kitchen with Ian and his buddies nearly drooling over your wasted self. Tony came in to save the day though. He just walked up and said something to Ian about getting you up to your room, but when you passed out. Ian was so far gone that he didn’t even notice. Tony did, though. He caught you and began to bring you to your room.

That’s when I caught him and helped him get you to your room. Then he left, I stripped you down and tucked you in, and that was it.” She shrugged as she finished her story.

“Oh wow,” I breathed and then decided to stay quiet as we finished cleaning the house.

Tony could have been in my room last night. He at least knows where it is. Hannah showed him where it was.

The reality was setting in that last night could have been real, but then something else clicked in my head.

I am actually pretty sure she went home with them . . .

He went home with Julie last night so there’s no way. He went home and took Julie. He didn’t stay around here late.

I sighed annoyed and focused on cleaning my messy house that Ian had left me with.

When we were finally finished we hurried out of the house and went out into town to shop for our Spring Formal dresses for next week.

“Is Julie coming or what?” I asked Hannah as we were walking through the third dress store.

“I don’t know. I called her like five times. She knows where we are at so I guess if she wants to she will come,” Hannah sighed pulling a green one of the hanger.

“I hate green,” I breathed.

“Fine, I will try it on,” She huffed folding it over her arm.

“You look good in green. I don’t,” I shook my head smiling.

“I know,” She teased.

I laughed.

“Hey, there you guys are,” I heard Julie call to us. I turned around and saw her walking across the store in the same shorts and shirt she wore last night.

Also, walking close behind her, looking as sexy as ever, was Tony in a tight tee shirt, low riding jeans, a black leather jacket and sun glasses.

I sighed as a slow smile crept on to my lips remembering my dream from last night.

Julie walked up to Hannah and they started talking.

“Hello, Dawn,” Tony smirked at me lowering his glasses.

That snapped me out of my thoughts and I turned away from him and back to the dresses.

“Hey,” I replied.

“What’s with the sun glasses?” Hannah asked.

“I am tired because Julie kept me up all night,” He smirked down at her.

This instantly got my attention, and I turned back to them.

“Oh really?” Hannah teased.

“Hey it wasn’t just me,” Julie laughed hitting Tony playfully.

“That’s true,” Tony laughed. “Okay, well, I have to go. You girls have fun,” He nodded to us and then turned and walked away.

“So what was that all about,” Hannah poked Julie.

“Come on,” She rolled her eyes. “Like you don’t know.”

“You slept with Tony,” I sighed disappointed.

“Not really slept but . . . Wait, what? Ew, not Tony. Travis,” She looked at me confused.

“Oh, you were with Travis?” Hannah asked.

“Yeah, of course. That’s who I was with the whole night,” Julie then turned to me. “Why did you sound so disappointed?”

“I did not,” I turned to the dresses trying to hide my blushing face in the fabric.

“Yes, you did,” Hannah cut me off from the dresses.

“I . . . well . . .”

“You like him!” Julie squealed.

“It’s a little more than like,” I breathed.

“Dump Ian and go to Tony . . . He’s a better guy anyway,” Julie smirked.

“Not true,” Hannah cut in.

We both looked at her.

“Okay,” She shrugged, “So true, but still. You’ve been with Ian for a long ass time, sweetie.”

“I know and I never said I was going to leave him I just said I liked Tony,” I sighed looking back to the dresses.

“You said a little more than like. What does that mean, anyway?” Julie walked up beside me.

“It means I had a really, really nice dream about him . . . and me,” I smirked.

“You dirty girl,” Julie teased.

“Shut up,” I shushed her. “I mean really? Could you yell it any louder?” I laughed.

“Yes, I could, but I won’t. So why don’t you tell your good friends about this nice dream you had?” Julie smirked following me.

Anthony’s POV

I woke up and took a shower. A cold one. It was needed after the dream I had of Dawn last night. I really was glad that I had finally had some fun with her, but it really hurt me in the long run.

Until I actually had her every last touch would haunt me until the next.

“Tony, oh good you’re up,” Julie popped into my room fully dressed while I was only wrapped in a towel.

“Julie, what are you doing?” I asked shocked.

“You are the only one alive enough to drive me where I need to be so . . .”

“No,” I grumbled turning away towards my closet.

“Please, I promised the girls I would be there,” She pleaded.

“So get your mate off his lazy ass and get him to go,” I shot back.

“I can’t get him to move and . . . Dawn will be there,” She hinted.

“What?”

“Yes, I am going to meet Dawn and Hannah and we are going to go shopping for spring formal next weekend,” She smiled.

“Fine, just let me get dressed,” I sighed.

“Yay! Thank you!” She squealed and then ran down the hallway.

“At least get to see Dawn,” I breathed and walked into the closet to get dressed.

When I was finished getting dress I went downstairs and met with Julie eating breakfast.

“You almost ready?” She pushed.

“Stop rushing me,” I snapped.

“Tony,” My mother scolded walking into the kitchen. “I taught you better than to snap at a lady like that.”

“But . . .”

“No buts,” She cut off my complaint, poured herself and glass of coffee and then kept walking out.

I sighed and sat down to eat some cereal.

“So how was your night last night?” She asked.

“Sucked. I had to watch Dawn have fun with Ian all night,” I grumbled.

So not true. My wolf laughed.

“Shut up. I watch you carry her into her room,” She wagged her eyebrows.

“Cut it out,” I rolled my eyes. “She was passed out and I helped Hannah get he into bed.”

“Yeah, whatever,” She smirked.

I finished my breakfast and finished getting ready and then I drove Julie into town and to some dress store on my motorcycle. Which she didn’t like.

“You don’t have to come in,” Julie smirked at me as I parked my bike and got off with her.

We walked into the store and I ignored her.

“Hey, there you guys are,” I Julie called to Hannah and Dawn across the store. We started walking towards them.

I quickly noticed Dawn as she stared at me. She was dressed casually and her hair was pulled into a ponytail. I wished I could let her hair down and run my fingers through her amazing curls. That would certainly make my day.

I smirked as a slow smile crept onto her face. I hoped she was thinking about last night.

Julie walked up to Hannah and they started talking.

“Hello, Dawn,” I smirked at her lowering my glasses to get a better view.

She turned away from me and to the dresses. That annoyed me. I wanted her eyes towards me so I could see them . . . so I could read them

“Hey,” She replied simply. He mono tone angered me further, but I kept my cool.

“What’s with the sun glasses?” Hannah asked distracting me.

I decided to use this time to embarrass Julie for making me go out this early. Well, it was early for me.

“I am tired because Julie kept me up all night,” I smirked down at Julie.

She glared at me playfully and I smirked. Dawn’s attention snapped to us and I liked that.

“Oh really?” Hannah teased.

“Hey it wasn’t just me,” Julie laughed hitting me playfully.

That was true. It was Travis too. And that dream with Dawn. That woke me up a few times through the night.

“That’s true,” I laughed. “Okay, well, I have to go. You girls have fun,” I nodded to them with one last look at Dawn and then I turned and walked away.

That girl was going to drive me crazy. Just being around her made me want to do things I shouldn’t do in public. I could only wish that after last night . . . she felt the same way too.
