Anthony’s POV

“I am not so sure I want to go to this party,” I sighed laying across my bed. I had just gotten out of the shower and only had enough energy to pull on jeans.

I had a pretty intense run when I got home from school. I just dropped my backpack and charged through the house and ran out to the woods and kept running until I almost passed out then I turned around and ran just as hard back to the house.

My muscles were swore and it felt good because it was getting my mind off of Dawn and that meant I did not want to go to a party where I was sure to see her.

“You are not doing this,” Felix grumbled leaning against the door with his arms crossed.

“Doing what? I had a heel of a run and . . .”

“And you are hiding from her,” He argued.

“You don’t know anything,” I sat up and glared at him.

“I know she’s your mate and I am pretty sure Travis is going after that Julie chick. I am a vampire . . . I am not stupid,” He sounded offended.

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” I grumbled falling back onto my bed.

“I’m your brother, Tony. I know how you act and when I see the way you act around her. I could tell something was up. One quick talk to mom and . . .”

“Just go away, Felix. Go get Travis and go to the damn party,” I growled rubbing my hands over my face.

“Fuck that,” Felix pushed off the door and threw a white tee shirt at me, “I am not letting some girl ruin my wing man and brother. Get dressed . . . We are going to be late.”

“Since when do you need a wing man . . . or care if you were late to a party?” I sat up and pulled my tee shirt over my head and slid of the bed.

“Let’s get a move on,” Travis popped his head in the door.

“Yes, let’s . . .” I sighed sarcastically.

“Good,” Felix smirked.

“I hate both of you,” I grumbled standing.

A while later we pulled up to the booming house.

This night will not end well. I walked into the house with Felix and Travis at my sides. As soon as we got into the house Felix headed for the alcohol and Travis went to fins Julie leaving me by myself.

Why did I come? I grumbled maneuvering through the crowd.

When I looked up I met the most beautiful blue eyes.

“Dawn,” I whispered and started moving towards the stairs she was standing on.

She broke eye contact and then started quickly down the stairs and away from me.

“Dawn, wait! Dawn!” I called after her but she ducked into the crowd and I lost her.

“Hey, you’re one of the new kids, right?” Some girl in a short tight dress that was low cut and revealed plenty of skin, walked up to me.

I sighed annoyed, “Yes.”

“What’s your name?” She placed a hand on my chest, looking up at me, flirting.

“Anthony,” I replied looking over her head trying to find Dawn.

“Well, my name’s Shelly and . . .”

“Listen, I bet your nice and all, but I’m busy,” I pushed past her and moved towards the kitchen to get drunk.

Just as I turned the corner I ran into someone. I instantly reached out to stead the person.

“Dawn,” I gasped looking into her blue eyes.

“Tony, what are you doing here?” She looked away from my eyes.

“Why won’t you look at me?” I asked, almost pleaded.

“Why can’t you keep your hands off me,” She glared up at me.

“Dawn, please,” I breathed instantly releasing her.

“I can’t so this,” She turned away from me.

My eyes shot to her exposed skin of her neck. My wolf howled and I took a step forward.

“Tony,” She snapped glaring up at me and took a step back.

“Come on, Dawn, just talk to me,” I smiled at her. My wolf was just under my skin supplying me with unbelievable confidence.

“You know I can’t do that,” She breath looking up at me through her long lashes.

“You look beautiful tonight,” I ignored her. “That dress is . . . wow.”

“Yeah, well, Ian, my boyfriend, got it for me,” She shot back.

“I am not trying to cause trouble Dawn. I just want to get to know you . . . please,” I placed a hand on her waist. She leaned into me placing a hand on my chest. She instantly melted under my touched.

“No,” She shook her head stepping back . . . not this is wrong. I am with Ian,” She turned away.

I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back into me looking deep into her eyes. “Then why does it seem like you don’t want to be?” I asked bravely.

“What are you trying to do?” She breathed looking up at me.

“I am just trying to get to know you, Dawn,” I sighed.

“Well, stop,” She pushed away. “You don’t want to know me,” She turned away and walked over to get a drink.

“Shit!” I mumbled.

“Tony,” Travis appeared out of nowhere.

“Yeah, what do you want?” I growled.

“What is with my attitude?” He growled back.

“Dawn isn’t as accepting as her friend,” I glared at him.

“I haven’t even old her, ass-hat,” He rolled his eyes.

“You’re doubting yourself,” I got my drink and walked away from the kitchen.

“I am not . . . I’m just not sure . . .”

“What? That you can mate her?” I laughed.

“No!” He growled, “I am not sure if I am ready to be a mate.”

“Your wolf is . . . and he will push you and push you until you do. Trust me. I know,” I grumbled annoyed.

“I am starting to get that,” He sighed taking a drink from his cup.

Later on in the night I had not seen Dawn yet. There was an itching under my skin that would not go away. I needed to touch her soft, tan skin. Feel her lips against mine again. It was driving me crazy to not be around her while knowing she is so close.

I walked into the kitchen to get yet another drink. I think I was finally starting to feel them and I had no idea but I was pretty sure I down a whole fifth by myself. I wasn’t sure. I didn’t care. It was hard to get a werewolf drunk, and I was trying . . . hard.

“Wow, can you even stand up straight?” I heard Ian laugh.

“I f-fine,” Dawn slurred horrible.

I turned the corner and entered the kitchen to see Dawn heavily leaning on the counter using it for all her support. Ian and his other football buddies were watching her smirks on the lips and lust in their eyes.

My wolf instantly fought to get to the surface. He had recently been subdued, but he would not sit back and let something like this happen. Then were getting her drunk . . . and they were going to enjoy it.

“Hey, Ian, don’t you think she should get up to her room?” I stepped up trying to stay calm.

“Back off, New Kid, you heard her. She’s fine,” He turned away from Dawn and towards his friends. “She is such a damn light weight . . . it’s embarrassing and she is a burden when she gets like this.” He growled.

I growled low in my chest nowhere near loud enough for him to hear as he laughed with his buddies.

“Hey, Tony,” Dawn slurred and then she instantly lost her balance and fell, losing her drink. I caught her quickly and picked her up in a cradle in my arms.

Ian didn’t even notice he just carried on with his drunken friends.

I sighed annoyed and carry a floppy passed out Dawn upstairs. I got to the stop of the stairs and stopped realizing I had no idea which room was actually hers.

“It’s the last one at the right end of the hall.

I turned around to see Hannah standing right behind me.

“Thanks,” I smiled at her and walked to the right end of the hall.

She came with me.

“No, thank you for saving her from Ian. He can be a real douche when he gets drunk,” She sighed opening the door for me and I stepped through.

“Can’t we all?” I sighed knowing that it was more than he drinking that made Ian a douche. He was fucking my mate for God’s sake!

“Just lay her on the bed,” She replied. “Thanks again for carrying her up. I wouldn’t have been able to do it,” She sighed.

“Yeah, no problem. Just take care of her,” I nodded to her.

“I got it,” Hannah smiled and then sighed. “You’ve been drinking all night. You’re into a douche . . . maybe the male population can be saved,” She smirked.

“Maybe,” I sighed and turned out of the room and back downstairs to roam.

I had to go check on her . . . just one last time then I would leave this dumbass party and finally go home and get some rest.

I justified my actions to myself as I pushed up the stairs in the nice house and down the hallway to her room.

“Hey, Tony,” One of the sluts from school cut in front of me.

“Hey,” I sighed annoyed.

“Why don’t you and me find an empty room and I can show you what a real party is like,” She winked as one of her sharp nails ripped my tight tee shirt.

“Damn it!” I growled hitting her hand away not so gently, “Why don’t you get some profession help?” I snapped and pushed passed her back on my way to the room.

I slowly opened her door and stepped through closing it behind me quietly. I walked carefully over to the side of her bed and looked over her peaceful sleeping face. Her dark curls were spread around her in an odd angelic way. Her simple face seemed now even more beautiful in such a peaceful state.

I was glad I saved her from passing out around all those drunk assholes downstairs, but the fact that she could hardly spare me a glace even though the only reason I even came to this dumbass part was to see her . . . it hurt. I couldn’t stand her rejection anymore.

Suddenly she stirred and I jumped back away from the bed scared she was about to wake up.

When she stayed still for another moment I felt the coast was clear so I moved back towards her bed.

As my eyes scanned over her peaceful face her piercing blue eyes snapped open and bore into mine.

Oh shit!

I panicked and stepped back not knowing want to say

“Yeah, sorry you caught me, but I just love watching you sleep . . .” Umm, no!

“Tony?” She breathed sitting up.

The covers fell from her shoulders down to her waist revealing a very flashy lace bra.

Holy shit! I groaned internally. She just looked so damn hot.

“Is this a dream?” She blinked up at me.

Instantly my body relaxed as I saw my chance. A slow sexy smirk grew on my lips as I took a step back to her, “Why, yes. Yes it is.”

God damn, I am so going to hell . . .

“You aren’t really here?” The slight disappointment in her voice woke my wolf from the deep confines of my mind. Our mate was not happy and he did not like that.

“No, this is all in your head,” I sat on the edge of her bed moving closer and closer to her bare skin. Then thin lacy material that covered it could be so easily taken care of. My wolf agreed with the images flashing through my mind.

“Of course it is,” She grumbled annoyed, “Because I am a dumb bitch and I have successfully pushed you away from me,” She sounded so sad I ached to comfort her.

Then it hit me. This is her dream. This isn’t reality . . . I don’t have to be the good boy and keep my hands off anymore.

Within an instant of that thought flashing through my head I had Dawn’s half naked body curled on my lap in my arms.

“That’s not true,” I breathed into her hair holding her tight.

“I would have you say that,” She mumbled into the shoulder that she had laid her head on.

“You are going to have to work a lot harder than you have been in order to push me away,” I smirked down at her.

She lifted her head from my shoulder and looked up at me, “Those eyes. Those green eyes . . . I knew they would haunt my dreams,” I small smile appeared on her lips.

Suddenly she in turned in my arms so that she was straddling me, so he could get a better look at my face.

“They look so real. I must have a damn good imagination,” She smirked.

“Your drunk,” I smirked back. “You in a pretty deep sleep,” My hands roamed her smooth hips and my wolf howled almost causing my head to explode.

“God, I have dying to do this since this morning,” She leaned in and pressed her lips to mine completely shocking me.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

A few moments after I had snuggled into her and her into me her heartbeat slowed and her breathing evened out and I knew she was perfectly asleep.

I slowly and carefully stood. Sadly I knew I had to leave her because first of all, this was supposed to be a dream so she couldn’t wake up with me laying on her, and second, she had a boyfriend that could walk through that door drunk any moment.

So I got off her and pulled her sheets back over her. Remembering my shirt was torn to shreds and smiling at the thought of it I grabbed my leather jacket pulling it around me.

I look over my beautiful sleeping mate one last time, kissed her forehead and then turned and walked quickly out of the door closing it behind me.

My wolf wasn’t extremely pleased with me, but he was content with the fact that we had finally gotten a taste of our mate. Of course tomorrow morning that would only bite me in the ass but I would be craving her twice as much.

I didn’t care. I was happy.

“Tony, where have you been? Where is your shirt?” Julie walked up to me.

“Umm . . . nowhere,” I smiled like an idiot.

“Oh God, you are drunk,” She sighed. “Aren’t you supposed to be driving?” She demanded.

“Yes, I’m fine, Julie. I am not drunk at all. Where are Travis and Felix?” I asked.

“Right here,” Travis walked up wrapping an arm around Julie’s should as Felix walked up beside him.

“Let’s get home,” I sighed walking towards the door. “Are you coming with?” I smirked down at Julie.

She smiled up at me, “You bet your ass.”

I laughed and shook my head as we walked out the door and to the car.

I didn’t care about anything but Dawn right now. She was content and happy and safely asleep in her bed right now and that made me really truly happy for the first time in weeks.
