Chapter 2
From a Vampire's Brother to a Human's Mate (Book 2: Completed)
Anthonyâs POV
I grabbed my shoes, jacket and glasses in my mouth and then ran across the empty parking lot my car. I shifted and quickly changed into the extra set of clothes I always kept in the back of my car and grabbed my schedule.
My first class was over and they should be about in the middle of second period by now. As I was making my way my second class the bell rang and then hallways filled with teenagers in a rush to get somewhere.
âCan it really only be fourth hour?â A girl complained coming out of a classroom with her friend by her side.
âFourth hour for you, lunch for me,â her friend teased.
Fourth hour? Lunch? I must have seriously misjudged time! I looked to my schedule and found my fourth hour. Next I pulled out the map and made my way quickly through the hallways.
I could not miss any more classes on my first day.
âTony,â Felix appeared beside me.
âHey,â I breathed relieved.
âWe have English together next period,â He explained.
âGood,â I ran my hand through my hair.
âWhere the hell did you go, Tony?â He asked seriously.
âFor a run,â I replied.
âWhat was wrong with you? Why did you attack Travis like that?â He demanded.
âI canât talk about it know . . . Weâll talk when we get home,â I avoided both of his questions.
âWhat is with you? You are acting like a child . .. someone with no control,â He growled annoyed.
âFelix, I canât help it and I donât fucking want to talk about it now,â I snapped as we turned down yet another hallway.
âWhatever,â He grumbled as we walked into the classroom.
As soon as I did I stopped so suddenly it was if I hit a brick wall.
It was her . . . she was in this class.
I instantly looked around when I suddenly found her leaning over her desk saying something to the red head sitting in front of her. She laughed and the sound affected me in ways that were completely unexplainable.
Felix winked at me and sat behind the blonde that was sitting next to my beautiful angel.
âHey,â He leaned over his desk into the blonde.
âBack off,â She complained as I moved to next to Felix.
âCome on,â He slightly tugged on her hair.
âHow many times do I have to tell that I donât like you breathing down my neck,â She snapped.
âOuch,â I laughed under my breath.
âShut up,â Felix slapped the back of my head.
âAnd who are you?â The blond turned to me.
âIâm sorry,â Felix cut in. âHannah this is my brother Tony. Tony this is the lovely Hannah,â Felix smirked at her.
âBack off,â He snapped again.
âYouâre the kid from the hallway,â My beautiful angle turned around to face.
I met her amazing blue eyes and I was lost for a moment.
âIâm sure a lot of kids were in the hallway,â I smirked recovering quickly.
âDawn,â A beefy guy with short hair and a bad attitude sat on the other side of my angel.
âIan,â She gasped turning to him quickly. Her smile fell and I caught a flash of fear the appeared in her eyes for a second.
âWho is this guy?â He glared at me and then back to her.
The bell rang and the teacher stood from her desk.
âNo one,â She shot and glance towards me nervously and then looked back to him. âNo one,â She repeated.
âGood,â He gripped his hand in her hair and kissed her forcefully.
I jerk forward in my seat, but Felix gripped my arm as I let out a low growl.
âWhat the hell?â He hissed at me.
Fuck, this is going to be harder than I thought. I ran my hands through my hair and laid my head on my desk.
So today was hard. After fourth hour Dawn was only in my sixth and not in my lunch. The Ian character was in no more classes with me and that was a good thing. If I had to sit and watch him put a hand on my angel again I would have been forced to rip his throat out. My wolf was going insane. The constant growls in the back of my head was literally going to drive me crazy. He wanted what was his and I wouldn't give it to him. I don't blame him . . . I'm pissed too. It's not like it was in ancient times when a male wolf found his mate and he took her. Human or wolf it didn't matter. And the female accepted it no matter what because it was not only expected of her but she found it as a compliment. Now of days if I just wolfed out and bit Dawn she would think I am certifiable insane and forget her listening to my explanation. Mine. My wolf growled. I sighed it was no use. Suddenly I ran into someone nearly knocking them over. On instinct I reached out to steady the person, but that was a mistake. An electric shot from where my skin touched hers and hit every never ending in my whole body. My wolf jumped at the chance to break free and I knew my pupils dilated. Goose bumps rose all over my skin and a low growl released itself from my throat. I met her eyes to watch them widen in shock as she took in a gasp and jumped away from my hands but that only caused her to jump into me. She placed her hands on my chest to brace herself. âS-sorry,â she stuttered out her eyes never leaving mine. âNo really. It's no problem,â I smiled down at her. My body was alive and I was on such a high I wasn't sure if I could ever come down. She blushed and broke eye contact with me. âI have to go,â she breathed but didn't make a step to move away from me. âYeah I have to take my cousin home,â I responded but also didn't move. âDawn!â âTony!â We both looked over our shoulders and then turned back to each other. âI really have to go,â she stepped out of my arms. âOf course,â My body instantly reacted releasing her, giving her want she wanted. âSee you around, Anthony,â She quickly turned and disappeared into the crowd of people. âHey, was that that Dawn chick?â Travis appeared next to me as I watched Dawn walk the front doors. âYeah,â I breathed. âCome on letâs get home. You know sheâs got a boyfriend, right?â Travis raised an eyebrow at me. âThere are like a million singly girls in this school dying to get a piece of us.â âYeah, whatever,â I ignored him and walked towards my car. Yeah, but I want a piece of her. I spotted Dawn getting into a car that Ian was leaning against talking to some guys. Mine! My wolf repeated murderously angry. Mine. I sighed rubbing my hand through my hair.

Dawnâs POV
On the way home with Ian was pretty silent. I was scared. I couldnât tell if he was just annoyed or angry. Either one was not good for me. Had he seen me run into Anthony in the hall? I know he saw me with Anthony in the class room. I knew this Anthony kid would get me into trouble with Ian, but the unexplainable pull I felt towards him was driving me insane. I am scared to admit it, but I honestly did not want to leave his arms in the hallway. It was the safest I had felt since . . . . since that day when the police took mu father away and I knew my mother and I would be okay. It was like nothing I had really felt before. I donât even feel that safe when my mom holds me. I wanted to run back and find him and have him hold me longer and tighter. The way my body reacted to his touch was completely foreign to me. That shock . . . I knew he felt it too . . . It was in his eyes. Oh, those green eyes. But for a moment they werenât that beautiful green. His pupils were huge and his irises were the palest blue I had ever seen. It reminded me of some kind of animal. It had an effect of me . . . I had wanted him to kiss me and hold me forever. I didnât like when anyone touched me . . . . I was so confused, but then he blinked and they were green again . . . Maybe I imagined it. I had to of imagined it. Suddenly we bounced into my driveway. I moved to get out, but Ian grabbed my leg. My heart jumped out of my chest and I turned to him trying to compose my fear. âArenât you going to invite me in, baby?â he smiled at me innocently. No! I donât want to send another moment alone with you!
I swallowed the lump in my dry throat and spoke as calmly as I could. âThereâs no point,â I breathed going for nonchalant. âMy mom will be home any minute and I got loads of homework to do.â âBabe, I really need to talk to you. Please, let me in,â He rubbed my thigh going for seduction. Didnât he understand his very touch disgusted me? âYeah, okay,â I breathed unable to really speak. He cut the engine and followed me to the door. I fumbled with my keys in my shaking hands un able to get them to calm down. His hand reached around me and grabbed the keys, unlocking the door and holding it open for me. I walked through the door, dropped my bag and walked to the living room to sit down on the couch. He instantly sat down next to me and pulled me on to his lap, rubbing my thigh. âBabe, you know I love you, right?â He said looking down at our hands. âYeah, of course,â I gasped. âThen why do you have to go around breaking my heart?â He said still not meeting my eyes. âIan, what are you talking about?â I looked at him confused. âThat new kid. I saw you all over him in the hallway. I donât understand why you do this to me. I have been nothing but kind to you. I protected you and saved you when your father abused you and your mother. This is how you repay me?â His voice was still calm but he kept his eyes from mine. âI ran into him by accident, Ian. I didnât mean to be all over him. He grabbed me and I . . .â âWhat?â He growled. His grip tightened on my leg and his glaring eyes shot to mine. âHe grabbed you? Did he hurt you?â Why do you care? Because only you can hurt me? âNo, Ian, he didnât mean to. He was just trying to be nice . . . He doesnât matter . . . I only love you. You know that, babe,â I said quickly, wrapping my arms around his neck and playing with his hair. I didnât mean to throw Anthony under the bus. I didnât want Ian to hurt him. I donât know why but Anthony meant a lot to me. âI kill him,â I an growled. âNo, baby, forget about him. Focus on me. I love you and that is all that matters,â I said the words though they had no meaning. I felt sick being so close to him but its all I can do to keep myself and my mom safe. âYou do?â He looked innocent again. âOf course I do,â I breathed staying close to him. âYou know if you leave me . . . it would kill me. I need you,â He sighed. âIâm not leaving you,â I replied. âProve it . . . Prove it that you love me and that youâll never leave me,â He pleaded kissing my neck. âHow?â I said through a dry throat. I knew what he wanted. Itâs what he always wanted. He used my body as his own personal sex toy and I couldnât stop it. âWhat would you so to prove it to me?â He smirked at me. My breathed caught in my throat. âI â I donât know . . .â âI knew it,â He growled. âYou lying bitch!â He throw me off hi lap and into the coffee table. I hit my hip and elbow and the coffee table flipped over. I wasnât sure I could get up so I didnât try. âYou donât love me,â Ian growled standing over me. âYouâre just a lying slut. You think that new kid wants you? Some stupid slut like you? Heâll use you for what he wants and then heâll dump your ass just like I should have done years ago!â Ian yelled at me. âNo, Iâm not lying. Ian, please . . .â âFuck you! I donât even know why I waste my time on you. You have been broken since your dad fucked you up and I was stupid enough to take you in,â He snapped annoyed. âI know, Ian, please . . .â I didnât mean to hurt you. You have no idea how grateful I am for you,â I tried to but the pain radiated through my hip and I fell again. âThen prove it,â He growled and picked me up off the ground holding me against his chest. âOkay,â I whimpered. âLetâs go up to your room. We donât want you mom walking in on us,â He smirked and lifted me into his arms carrying me to my room. He laid me on my bed and laid over me kissing down my neck. I ran my hands over him making the necessary actions and sounds in order to make it seem like I was enjoying myself. Ian quickly took my clothes from me and I worked to remove his shirt with my shaking hands. Apparently I was not moving fast enough for him and he quickly took over removing his own clothes. He took no time to mess around and quickly thrust into me. I tried not to cry out in pain as he slammed into me. I instead focused on his moans and pants to fake mine appropriately. It didnât matter anyway. Whether I finished or not, Ian would pull out when he was done. When he pulled out I stayed still as he kissed all over my body. I only continued to move my hands through his hair. âYouâre my girl,â He breathed against my neck. âOf course, baby,â I replied instantly. âNow get dressed,â He got out of bed, pulling his pants and shirt on. âYour mom just pulled into the driveway.â He explained and then walked out of my room and downstairs. As I got dressed I heard their conversation. âHey, Mrs. Tidal,â Ian said happily. âOh, Ian, how nice to see you,â My mother exclaimed. âWhereâs Dawn at?â âUpstairs,â He replied easily. âSheâs changing.â I got into sweatpants and a hoodie and went downstairs. âhey, Mom,â I planted a fake smile on my face when I reached the kitchen. âHey, sweetie,â She smiled back. I went and sat next to Ian at the table and he instantly placed a hand on my eg. âSo I need to talk to you two about something,â My mom smiled. âWhatâs that?â Ian replied sweetly. âI am going out of town this weekend,â She said instantly. âFor what?â I asked innocently. âWell, work, but that is not the point. I donât want to leave you here alone all weekend, so I am going to allow you to stay with Ian,â She smiled excited. My heart literally stopped.
