Chapter 20

Stronzos

Shortie & Knight

I don't know if Wattpad is glitching or something, but 2K reads??? I was checking to see if we hit 800 and come to find out that we hit 2,000!!! Thank you guys so much! I started writing this chapter before I checked, but now I'll make sure that it's super cute and amazing for all of you!! Thank you so much!!!!! I know I'm using too many exclamation points but since I can't see you, this is the best I can do. I love you guys so much and thank you for getting us this far! I still think it's a glitch, tbh. Anyway, back to the story.

•Amethyst•

Max stayed with me for two days until I got better. My parents weren't going to come back home until late Saturday night, the day of Max's boxing match. Which was in two days at the time. I was spending my time trying to gather all of my heavy books in my locker to get to History.

"Excuse me? Could you help me find room 305?" A timid voice asked from behind me.

I turned to see a boy, about nine inches taller than I am, with shiny blonde hair that covered some of his face. He was wearing some cute blue glasses that matched his blue eyes. In his arms were so many books that his scrawny arms seemed to have some trouble carrying.

He gave off a freshmen and/or new kid vibe.

"Um," I looked at the clock behind him, "Sure. I can always ask your teacher for a pass anyway." I closed my locker and adjusted my books. "Follow me."

He smiled gratefully and followed me in the direction of room 305. I scrunched up my nose to push up my glasses since my hands were full and turned to him. He was blushing slightly and looked really nervous.

"Is it your first day here?" I asked.

He nodded and blushed even more. "Yeah. I didn't know that this school would have so many pretty and nice girls."

I giggled. "You'll get used to it."

"I doubt it highly, especially if they're as pretty as you."

I blushed a little bit. "That's so sweet. What grade are you in?"

"Ninth. My parents moved us here since they both got a promotion. I'm originally from Australia."

I nodded. "I don't really hear it; your accent."

He cleared his throat. "I tried to hide it so kids wouldn't make fun," he said, his Australian accent shining through.

I felt my eyes widen in surprise. "Why would they make fun? Your accent is amazing!"

He chuckled. "I like American's accents better. But yours is a little different, do you speak another language?"

I nodded. "Yeah, Spanish. How'd you know?"

He shrugged. "I don't know, just the way you said stuff. Do speak Spanish fluently?"

I nodded. "Sì, pero no me gusta hablar en público," I confessed.

He raised his eyebrows. "What'd you say?"

I laughed. "Yes, but I don't like speaking it in public."

He shook is head. "But it's really cool. Can you speak any other languages?"

"Yep. Italian. My boyfriend speaks it too, as well as Spanish."

"You have a boyfriend?" I nodded. "Wait... what grade are you in?"

"Twelfth, same as my boyfriend."

He sighed. "Man, I though I had a chance."

I chuckled. "Sorry, you're too young. It wouldn't be legal if we dated."

"Damn the law," he muttered.

I laughed. "Don't forget my boyfriend."

He chuckled and nodded. I turned to the side and saw that we were right next to his classroom. I stopped and nudged my head towards the door.

"This is your room..."

"Austin," he answered.

I nodded. "I'm Amethyst. I can show you around for the whole day if you'd like. And if you don't have anyone to hang out with, I'm usually free 7th period and 3rd period."

He nodded and smiled. "Thanks a lot Amethyst. I'll be sure to see you around. Bye!" He saluted me before walking into his classroom. I looked at the clock and saw that I still had three minutes until I needed to get to class. I started to walk back to where my class was when I saw Samantha running over to me at full speed.

"AMY!" She screamed.

I nodded my head in acknowledgment. "Hello?"

She sprinted even faster and skidded to a stop once she was close to me. "You have a fucking boyfriend?!"

Damn it! It was supposed to be a surprise. I'll just act like I don't care so she won't get suspicious. I nodded. "That is correct. Why do you ask?"

"WHY DO I ASK?! Because I'm your best fucking friend!"

I nodded again. "Yes, you are. And? It wasn't like I kept it a secret from you. You seem on top of these things to know if I have a boyfriend or not anyway. I thought that you knew. Sorry."

She huffed. "You're lucky I love you or else I would never talk to you again. You have to tell me first thing if you have a boyfriend or a new puppy or... anything! That's your job as a best friend!"

"How come I didn't see a resume? I need to know these details."

She huffed. "I tend to forget that you've never had anything interesting happen in your life," she muttered. "I should have been the first person you told about you asking Max out. I shouldn't have heard it from Xander and Maximus talking on the phone. When he proposes to you, I better be the first person you tell. And yes, before your mother and father."

Damn Max and Xander! I shrugged. "Whatever. I have to go to History now," I softly shoved her, "so if you could move please."

She rolled her eyes and walked with me. "I've got no where to be but with you, honey."

I huffed and started to walk to History when Alexander came walking towards us with his friends. They seemed to be getting to class since they had books in their hands and were all checking their watches every few seconds to see if they were late.

"Hi Andy!" I called.

He turned from his friend and looked in my direction. Once he saw me he smiled and waved, even with the large amount of books in his hands.

"Hey Amy!" He greeted back.

"Who's that?" Samantha whispered.

"Max's little brother, Alexander. You can call him Andy though."

When we got close to him I realized that I was already by my classroom door, so I stopped and turned to give him a hug- as much as I could with several books in my hands anyway. He wrapped and arm around my shoulders and chuckled at my attempt to hug him properly.

"Why so many books, Topaz?" He teased.

"Senior year isn't easy, Hamilton," I replied smugly.

"We got less than a minute to get to class dude, stop flirting and let's go!" One of his friends groaned.

Andy blushed a bit before letting go of me and waving. "Bye Amy."

"Bye Andy!" I said before walking into my class.

Once I walked inside, I was surprised to see that so many people were there. It was usually until seconds before the late bell rang that people came inside. I looked around and saw that the only seat open was next to Max, in the back. I didn't really like the back since I couldn't see over all of the tall people, but I didn't really have a choice that day. Samantha didn't come in with me since it wasn't her class, instead she probably walked around the school since it was her free period.

I walked over to Max and sat down next to him, finally relieving my arms of the heavy books I had to carry, placing them on my desk. Max looked over to me and smiled brightly, causing me to swoon slightly since he looked so perfect. I smiled back just as the bell rang, causing me to turn around to the front of the class.

"Okay, can anyone explain to me what happened in chapter three?" Mr. Rogers started.

~<~<~<

"You're Amethyst, right?" An unfamiliar voice asked.

I gasped in shock and almost dropped my books. There was a slight chuckle before the person spoke again.

"Didn't mean to scare you, sorry." It was definitely a guy talking to me, since their voice was so deep.

I slowly turned around to see not one, but three guys behind me. Each of them towering over me, almost as much as Max did. The one who talked to me, at least I thought it was, was a tall blonde. He was lean, less muscular than Max, but he was very attractive. Of course, Max was hotter, but he was still up there. He had bright green eyes, a chiseled face, and a slight blush on his cheeks. He wasn't embarrassed from what I could tell, so it must have just been natural. He was wearing a clean white shirt, some light blue skinny jeans, and the regular beige Timberlands. Behind him were two guys who looked identical to each other, except for the fact that they seemed to have a totally different style.

The one on his right, though sharing the same black hair, hazel eyes, high cheekbones, and chiseled jawline as his, I was guessing, brother, looked more rugged. He had a five o'clock shadow and unkempt hair, yet he still looked attractive. He was wearing a worn out brown leather jacket with a camo sweatshirt underneath. He was wearing regular fit black jeans with some nice white Air Force 1's. I also saw two diamond stud earrings in his right ear, and a hoop nose ring in his left nostril. He looked scary, but not too scary. He also had the same build as the guy in front of him.

His brother, however, looked the complete opposite. His hair was messy, yes, but he had a shaven face and no piercings. He was wearing a nice white shirt that was tucked inside his plaid pants that he rolled up a bit at the ankle. He also had cute black suspenders that kind of reminded me of something I owned. His shoes were some nice white converse that looked brand new. He did have a big tattoo on right arm of a hawk though, it took up most of his forearm.

I blushed and smiled at the blonde. "I-it's fine, I just get scared easily. H-how do you know my name though?"

He smiled. "I'm new, and so are these guys. We used to go to Valley Ridge, Hillside's rival, but the football team wasn't really all that great compared to yours, so we moved."

I raised an eyebrow. "W-what does that have to d-do with you knowing my name?"

"Are you kidding? You're the talk of the town being Max's hot girlfriend," the rugged boy said. His voice was very deep and scary sounding, almost like he was a super villain.

The blonde chuckled. "That's Kace, I'm Oscar, and the other one's Axel. They're twins, as you can tell."

I nodded. "Hello. I w-would s-say my n-name but you a-already k-know it."

Axel laughed. "You're cute, Amethyst. Too bad Max took ya, I'd take you out for a coffee later if that wasn't the case." He had the same voice as his brothers, except his wasn't so raspy. He still sounded scary though.

Kace smacked him on the head while Oscar rolled his eyes. I just blushed and held my books closer to me. "You idiot! Max is a pro boxer and three inches taller than you, don't be stupid by hittin' on his girl!" Kace scolded.

"Who was hitting on my girl?" A familiar voice asked as an arm was wrapped around my shoulders.

I looked up and smiled at the sight Max's face glaring at the three boys. Oscar and Kace pointed to Axel immediately. "Him!" They said in unison.

Such good friends. I thought sarcastically.

"Axel, what did I tell you about Amy? She's off limits, just like my sister," Max growled.

"I-I-I swear that I d-d-didn't h-h-h-hit o-on your g-girl, Max," Axel stuttered uncontrollably.

I cleared my throat loudly to get everyone's attention. "Knight, how do you know these guys? How do they know me?"

"They're kids of my dad's friends. We grew up together and became best friends... more like cousins actually," he explained.

"She's shorter in person, Max. When you talked about her, I thought you were exaggerating," Oscar pointed out.

I blushed again. "I get that a lot," I mumbled.

Max snarled. "You're making her embarrassed, stop it."

Oscar held his hands up in mock surrender. "Sorry, didn't mean to."

"She's got you wrapped around her little finger, huh, Maxy boy? She says jump and you say how high? Is that the deal? You gettin' soft with this girl, eh?" Kace teased.

Axel snorted. "Don't tempt him now, you don't want to lose your dick."

I giggled. "I don't think I'd want to see that happen."

Max sighed before bending down and kissed my hair. "Son idiotas, lo siento." (They're idiots, sorry.)

Kace chuckled. "So you really learned Spanish for her too? I thought you were kidding!"

Max growled. "Sei un piccolo cazzo, lo sai?" (You're a little dick, you know that?)

Kace smirked. "Sì, naturalmente." (Yes, of course.)

"Parli anche tu Italiano?" I asked. (You speak Italian too?)

"Siamo Italiani, torta golosa," Axel said patronizingly. (We are Italian, cutie pie.)

"Stop talking you guys, people are staring," Oscar whispered harshly.

"Let 'em stare, eh?" Kace turned around to all of the kids looking at us. "They all got nothin' better to do than be a bunch of nosy stronzas and stronzos!" (Assholes) (For both female and male).

Everyone turned back to their conversations in fear while others just ran to lunch.

"Thanks for taking the subtle approach, you moron!" Axel scolded as he punched his brother on the chest.

Kace rolled his eyes. "They ain't lookin', are they?" Axel didn't speak. "That's what I thought."

"Let's go to lunch, okay shortie? You three stronzos can come too," Max said.

"As long as you're payin', Maxy boy. I'm broke," Kace chuckled.

"When are you not? Moron."

Axel and Oscar laughed loudly while I just giggled quietly. I kept close to Max since I didn't really feel comfortable with all the people glancing and whispering, or the three scary guys walking behind us. Once we got to lunch, Kyle was the first to notice us.

"Hey my favorite couple!" He called.

Oscar cat whistled. "Damn Max! Why didn't you tell me you had such hot friends?"

Max rolled his eyes. "I don't think he's hot, you idiot."

Oscar looked Kyle up and down. "How can you not?"

I giggled. "You should sit by him, I'm sure he'll like you."

Oscar blushed. "I don't know, he seems like he might have a girlfriend or boyfriend."

Max laughed. "It would be boyfriend for Kyle. Besides, he's single and it would really be helpful for me if you could date him. He really likes making me uncomfortable by flirting."

Kyle stood up from his chair and walked over to us. "Who are the new guys?" He wondered.

Jacob and West looked up to see the "new guys" as Kyle walked over. Once he was in front of us, he pulled me away from Max for a hug. Max frowned a bit but smiled once I moved next to him. Kace and Axel held out their hands at the same time to Kyle for a handshake.

"I'm Kace," Kace said as he shook Kyle's hand.

"I'm Axel," Axel said as he shook Kyle's hand.

Kyle nodded. "Cool, I'm Kyle. You friends with Max?"

They nodded. "Yep," they said in unison. Kyle looked over their shoulder to Oscar.

"Hey man, I'm Kyle. Nice to meet you," Kyle said as he held his hand out, a small blush on his cheeks.

Oscar blushed again and shook his hand. "Oscar. Nice to meet you too."

Max looked at me and smiled. "Creo que van a pegar," he said optimistically. (I think that they'll hit it off.)

I nodded. "Yeah, me too."
