Chapter 21 - Secrets

Damien aka The King POV

"King, this is what she has done throughout the month."

One of my men gave me a file of her that I asked for them to watch what she's doing for over this month.

I grabbed the file and gestured my hand for him to get out of this room. He bowed his head first before walked out from the room.

After I heard the door closed, I took a deep breath and opened the file slowly. My eyes caught some pictures of her.

She's laughing.

She's smiling.

All about it was her.

Since I was born I never met her but I was only watching her from far away.

So close yet so far.

I wanted to meet her but does she recognised me?

His only son.

I still remembered when I asked my padre about her.

"Padre, can I ask you a question?"my twelve years old voice spoke.

My padre nodded making me smiled because he never wanted to talk to me.

I played with my finger first then spoke,"You know.. all my friends have their madre (mother).Why I don't have a mother? Where is she?"

My padre snapped his head towards me when the words slipped out from my lips.

"Your madre?"he asked making me nodded.

"Vieno qui."(come here)he gestured his index finger causing me to move towards him.

When I already in front of my padre, he slapped me hard across my face making me gasped. I held my cheek with my palm and looked at my padre with teary eyes.

"Your madre!.."he shouted making me flinched and whimpered.

"You want to know something?"he chuckled dryly,"You have no mother. You're just illegitimate child and therefore your mother leave you with me!"

And that's when I knew that I was just an illegitimate child.

I chuckled dryly and slammed my hand on the table. I'm just an illegitimate child but now I'm searching for her. I didn't even knew if she's remembered me, recognised me or even missing me.

She never wanted me for his child.

She never wanted to meet me.

She never wanted to love me.

She left me!

I slammed the file into the table causing all the paper and the pictures were scattered around the table. Closing my eyes, I put my head into my palm and groaned loudly.

Why was my life became liked this?

Why I can't live liked normal people?

Opening my eyes, I ran my hand into my hair until my eyes caught a picture of her entering a hospital. My eyebrow wrinkled, I grabbed it as I saw she entered the hospital and another photo she was walked out from the hospital.

Quickly, I searched the paper that scattered around the table until I found something that made my breath hitched.

I picked up the paper with shaking hands and read all the information until my eyes caught something that made my eyes widen.

"Positive Hea---"my words cut off when someone barged into the room making me looked up.

"Damien you have to see this."Jack said while panting.

I frowned,"Come on Damien!"he shouted and I got up from the seat still shaking.

"Hurry up Damien!"Jack said.

I looked at the paper first and sighing as I put it in the drawer. I followed Jack then we walked out of the room.

"What is it?"I asked.

"You have to see this. It's very important."he said as he opened a door to the dungeon.

When I walked in, I saw there were my men looked at me then they bowed making me nodded. I walked to the middle until my eyes caught two dead bodies on the ground covered with blood.

Crouched down, I pushed their shoulder to look at their face then I heard gasped from all my men. This two men was one of my men. Their body was shoot in the head? their face and their body were beaten.

"Who did this?"I asked as I looked up to all of them making them bowed their head when I glared them.

When they kept silence,my anger boiling,"I said who did this!"I shouted causing them flinched including Jack.

"Damien, they found them at the river bank."Jack answered when all of them doesn't wanted to speak.

Someone killed them.

I looked at the dead body first before searching something suspicious on it until I found a paper inside one of the dead body pocket.

"Damien what's your plan now?"

I didn't looked up to Jack as my blood started to boil because of the paper in my hand.

This is just the beginning.

I crumpled the paper and clenched my jaw. They killed two of my men to warn me with this paper. I knew the culprit must be him.

Son of Nathaniel Vasiliev.

Closing my eyes, I chuckled dryly,"Like he said this is just the beginning."I said as I looked up at Jack.

"He wants war. Let's fight."I arched my eyebrow at Jack and smiled wickedly.

I'll wait for you and I'm coming to you.

I laughed dryly until the only sound can be heard in the room was only my laughing.

"So how's your life after getting married?"

I looked up from the file in my hand and saw Aiden, my colleagues and accomplices.

Aiden Rodriguez was someone who was notorious for his cruelty in our mafia's world, but he was also one of my trusted and very loyal in our alliance.

My life?

My thoughts wandered to my baby doll. It's already past for two weeks since I left home and her, my wife.

And I already missed her.

"Damien?"Jack spoke making me snapped out of my reverie.

"You want to know something Aiden."Jack told Aiden as he wiggled his eyebrow playfully.

"He's change slowly because I heard him laugh, I see him as he smile to himself. All because of her love handles."Jack said while put his palm over his heart.

"Thank you Zahra."when he said that making me smacked the back of his head making him groaned.

"Ouch, why? I didn't do anything wrong."Jack pouted and rubbed the place that I hit.

I heard a chuckled escaped Aiden's lips making me looked at him.

"Wow, I really wanted to see her Damien."he said as he grinning to me making me glared him.

No way.

"Hohohh, I know that glare. Aiden he is really possessive towards Zahra."Jack spoke making me arched my eyebrow.

"I don't know when we can see her because he already warn me not to enter his house at will without the consent of him."he huffed than crossed his arms over his chest.

"Of course you can't enter my house at will because you're always ruin my house and finish all the food only." I said and looked at him making Jack pouted.

"Well I can't help because Maya's cuisine are really delicious."he replied and huffed making me shook my head.

"The drink is for you, King."

I didn't even looked up to see the flight attendant that used her tight uniform when she deliberately showing her cleavage when she bent down to put the drink in front of me.

Slut.

It's true that I slept with her but only one night. All women who have ever slept with me just for the satisfaction of myself and my needs.

I've never slept with someone else more than once and I slept with all of them just for one night.

But since I found her, my baby doll or my wife I've never getting laid for this almost seven months.

All of it because of her.

The stewardess went away when I kept ignoring her flirting making Aiden and Jack chuckled.

"Look at her face Damien."Jack said while laughing.

"You're destroying a woman's heart."Aiden chuckled and shook his head then leaned against his chair.

I shrugged and read the contains of the paper without paying attention to them.

My head snapped towards my iPhone when it's ringing. I slapped Jack's hand away before he can picked it up making him pouted.

Answering it, I put the phone on my ear,"Hello King."a motherly voice spoke.

"Yes Maya can I help you?"I asked and leaned against the chair behind me.

"Hurmm, I want to tell you that Blair come again and threatened Zahra." she replied making my jaw clenched.

Blair.

She threatened my baby.

"What does she want right now?"I snapped making Aiden and Jack looked at me.

Ignoring them,"I didn't know but when I ask Zahra she doesn't want to talk about it."she said making me sighed.

"Alright, I'll take care of it later. Thank you Maya."I closed my eyes as my thoughts wandered around my baby doll.

I missed her.

Opened my eyes then continue, "How is she?"I asked her making Jack whistles playfully while Aiden smiled.

Maya giggled when she heard that,"She's alright. She--"

Her words cut off when I heard someone shouted from the phone.

"Emily! If I got you, I'll kill you!" I heard a familiar voice causing the corner of my lips tugged slight.

My baby doll.

"Maya... look at Emily. She finished my chocolate ice cream."she whined making a chuckled escaped my lips.

I heard Jack and Aiden chatting while looking at me but I ignoring them as my thoughts still wandered around her.

My baby doll likes to eat very much.

"Hurm, King. Got to go now.I'll talk to you later."Maya said and I just nodded even she doesn't saw that then ended up the called.

After I put my iPhone on the table, I looked up and saw Aiden and Jack were staring at me making me arched my eyebrow.

"What?!"I glared them before continued to read the paper in the file.

"Look he's different now."Jack said then whispered to Aiden making him laughed.

I shook my head,"Are we here just talking about me or what?"I asked as I still read the paper.

Jack pouted,"I didn't even think that this day is coming."Aiden spoke making me looked up at him.

What was he meant?

He smirked when I kept staring at him,"Yeah, you're smile just now."he said and wiggled his eyebrow.

"Am I never smile before?"I asked as I crossed my arm over my chest.

"Seriously Damien! I never saw you smile before even I make a joke until she come. Now you're change."Jack said as he drank the water from his glass.

Really? I've changed?

I didn't even realised that.

When I'm around her, she made me happy as I felt liked I was home.

Home.

She's my home.

But, she didn't knew about my life. She didn't even knew that she already entered my dark dangerous Mafia's world.

There were so many secrets that I kept from her. I already warned Maya and Emily not to tell her about my mafia world.

I will told her all my dark secrets by myself when the right time has came.

When?

I don't know.

She's still very innocent and naive.

How can I told her about my life?
