“No. I refuse.” Audrey rejected it in a firm tone.

Emma’s face turned cold when she heard Audrey’s refusal. “It’s not up to you. I have already talked to the Russell family. Whether you want to marry him or not, you have to marry.”

“I said, I’m not marrying him.” Audrey didn’t want argue anymore. With that, she went straight to her room.

Emma’s angry voice came from behind. “Audrey, listen. You have no choice but to accept this marriage proposal! You must marry him! Also, you’re coming with me to meet his parents tomorrow afternoon! Do you hear me?”

With a bang Audrey closed the door, shutting out Emma’s voice.

After closing the door, Audrey slid down along the door and weakly sat on the floor.

his words.

Audrey answered the call. “Mom?”
