When Audrey was halfway through playing the piano, a loud round of applause. sounded around her. It was deafening.

When she finished playing the song, she stood up and bowed slightly to the crowd. “Hope you’ve enjoyed it.”

Audrey might have said those words after she bowed, but she looked at Amelia and then Tyler when she said those words.

The round of applause just now was enough to prove that she was better than Amelia. Her actions just now had the effect of hitting two birds with one stone.

She had replied to Amelia’s words with her actions and shut Tyler’s mouth.

Tyler kept an indifferent face as he looked at Audrey and said, “It’s alright.”

However, he then suddenly added, “But it’s better than the beginner’s song just now ”

His words didn’t sound like a compliment, but somehow, when Audrey heard those. words, her heart skipped a beat. She felt like she was complimented by her piano tutor back when she just began learning how to play the piano. She felt quite happy.

“Tyler, why are you here?” When Amelia saw Tyler, she had no time for Audrey anymore. She quickly walked up to Tyler. “We’re just about to go and eat. How about you join us?”

Tyler took a step back and kept his distance from Amelia. He then looked at Audrey from the corners of his eyes and just happened to lock gazes with her.

His l*ps curved into a smile. “It’s not very convenient. I have an appointment with someone else today.”

When Amelia saw Tyler smile, she thought he was smiling at her. She then said in a soft voice, “Then… how about another day? Let me treat you to a meal some other day.”

“We’ll see when the time comes,” said Tyler as he looked away from Audrey and turned.

Grace reached out and pulled the hem of Audrey’s clothes. She then whispered, “Audrey, Audrey, he’s gorgeous!”

Audrey rolled her eyes. “I’ll buy you a set of glasses when I get my wage.”

Grace felt puzzled. “Don’t you think he’s gorgeous?”

What Audrey didn’t know was that Tyler had heard every single word she had just said.

Amelia saw that Tyler had left, and the shy look on her face disappeared instantly. She turned and looked at Audrey. “Tyler said you were alright, so don’t get full of yourself.

“Well, at least I’m better than some beginner.

Amelia was at a loss for words for a moment. She snorted, walked forward, and leaned towards Audrey. “I can make you lose your previous job, so I can make you lose this one as well.”

Audrey locked gazes with Amelia. “You’re quite capable then, but I can get a third or even a fourth job. Are you the most powerful person in Willowdale?”

“Let’s see if I am then.”

After saving those words. Amelia left with her two useless friends.

“Who’s this, Audrey? She’s so arrogant!” Grace asked in a low voice.

Audrey smiled. “She’s just a clown who likes to show off, that’s all.”

When it was time to get off work, Gary sent Audrey the address of the dorm that Tyler had arranged.

Audrey looked at the address and left the store.

The distance wasn’t very far away from the store. The dorm wasn’t too far away from the store. It was about a 10–minute walk.

“What’s this? Are you leaving home? As soon as Audrey walked out of the elevator, at sarcastic voice sounded. “Aren’t you a little old for this?”

Audrey took a deep breath, turned around, and looked at the person who spoke. “Why are you still here? Don’t you have an appointment with someone? Shouldn’t you be on your way?”

Tyler lifted his leg and walked forward. The person I have an appointment with had just gotten off work. I’ve been waiting for ages.”

That said, he reached out and took the suitcase from Audrey’s hand. “Where are you going? I’ll give you a lift.”

“We’re not going in the same direction!” Audrey wanted to take her suitcase back, but the man avoided her hand with ease. “Do you know where I’m going? Why are you so.

Tyler passed the suitcase to David and then reached out to grab Audrey. “I haven’t even had lunch yet. I’ve been starving whilst waiting for you. Let’s go eat first.”

“Wait, why are you waiting for me?” Audrey wanted to pull her hand out of the man’s grip. “Didn’t you say you have an appointment with someone? What are you grabbing me for?”

“Why do you care so much about who I have an appointment with?” Tyler suddenly stopped dead in his tracks and looked at Audrey seriously. “Audrey, are you starting to have feelings for me?”

Audrey acted as if Tyler had guessed what she was thinking and asked, “Tyler, have you been drinking lately?”

Tyler smiled. “I haven’t drank alcohol today.”

Audrey was rendered speechless.

Audrey was pushed into the car by Tyler in the end.

“What do you want to eat?” Tyler leaned against the back of the seat and looked at Audrey. “Savory Bites has a new chef today. Do you want to have a taste?”

Audrey stared at Tyler for a while. She suddenly leaned towards him. “Tyler Russell.”

Due to the sudden closing in of Audrey, Tyler’s b*dy froze, and his Adam’s apple. bobbed up and down. “Huh?

“Don’t tell me you’re beginning to have feelings for me?”

Tyler’s heart skipped a beat. He then reached out to push Audrey away. “It’s not dark yet. What the hell are you talking about? Wake up!”

“Why were you nervous just now?” Audrey continued to ask.

“Nervous?” Tyler sniffed his nose slightly. “Why would I be nervous in front of you?

“You’re not? I just heard your heartbeat just now. It was thumping wildly. Your heart’s racing. Are you sure you’re not ner…”

Tyler covered Audrey’s mouth with his hand. “Shut up! You’re too noisy!”

Audrey glared at him and suddenly licked her l*ps mischievously. She also intentionally touched the palm of the man’s hand with the tip of her tongue.

Tyler immediately felt like she had been electrocuted and pulled his hand back. “What the hell are you doing?

Audrey looked at his reaction and said lazily, “What are you doing? What’s the big deal?”

Tyler was rendered speechless.

Everything suddenly became quiet inside the car.

Tyler looked at the person sitting beside him through the reflection in the window. The hand that had covered Audrey’s mouth was burning and even shaking a little.

Audrey wasn’t doing any better, either. When Tyler pulled his hand back, she wanted to bite her tongue off.

David didn’t dare to speak either. When he looked at the back through the rearview. mirror the third time, Tyler asked, “What are you looking at?”

David coughed slightly. “Are we going to the Savory Bites, Mr. Russell?”

Tyler didn’t give David a reply immediately. Instead, he looked at the person sitting

next to him.

Audrey was still lost in her mysterious actions just now, and she then remembered the day when Tyler k*ssed her. This caused her ears to turn red.

Tyler looked at Audrey’s red ears and couldn’t help but lean in and pinch them. “What are you thinking about that makes you blush?”

Audrey was startled by Tyler’s sudden words. She quickly turned around, and her l*ps skimmed Tyler’s face.

The two of them froze at the same time, and neither of them moved.

In the end, Audrey was the first to lean back and say, “Why are you so close to me? And you say you’re not having feelings for me? Let me make myself clear. You’re not my type.”
