-Astrid's POV-
I hummed in appreciation, cuddling into the warmth. My eyes were still closed, but I couldn't care less. So... Comfortable... And warm..... Something heavy and also warm was draped across my waist, sending tingles though my body from wherever it touched me. I moved closer to the source, until I heard a groan behind me. Ignoring the tingles, my eyes snapped open, revealing dark blue walls around me, and I realized I was laying in an extremely comfy bed with clean white sheets.
Then I remembered why I had gotten up, and slowly turned my head. My eyes widened as I saw him.
He was complete perfection. With shaggy black hair that flopped onto his forehead, he had plump  pink lips, and they looked incredibly kissable. His jaw was perfectly defined, and his mouth was slightly parted as he slept. He had high cheek bones, and was perfectly tanned. Not too much, but not too little. I reached out and gently touched his cheek, and it sent tingles through me. He seemed to draw me in, and all he was doing was sleeping.
My eyes widened even more as I remembered my predicament. I tried to pull away, but his arm tightened around my waist. I started to get scared, What if he was working for Matt? What if he was going to kill me? What if-
"Stop moving" he mumbled, his voice deep and raspy. I was temporarily mesmerized by the wonderful sound, but not for long. I started trying to peel his arm off of me, as much as I didn't want to. Tears pricked my eyes, and I struggled against his strong grasp. He grumbled, pulling me against him once more. I felt a tear slide down my cheek, and I bit my lip, unsuccessfully pushing his arm off of me. A low growl bubbled from his lips, and I started to shake.
His eyes snapped open, revealing beautiful green orbs I felt myself getting lost in. He frowned, his eyebrows furrowing. He brought his hand up, softly wiping my tears away with his thumb.
"Why are you crying, love?" He murmured softly, his voice still husky which made it even hotter. I watched him with wide eyes.
"Wh-who are you? Please don't hurt me," I whimpered, my body trembling once again. His frown deepened, and he shook his head, sitting up and pulling me to him.
"I will never hurt you," He whispered, and for some odd reason, I believed him. I believed someone for the first time in years, and it felt... good.
"How did I get here?'' I asked quietly, not pulling away from him.
"I found you in the woods... Would you like to tell me what happened?" He asked, but quickly added, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I bit my lip, deciding.
"I want to get to know you better." I whispered, looking away, scared he would hit me. He carressed my cheek gently, looking at me with soft eyes. I looked away, still scared, only to be met by his bare chest. My eyes wandered over it, and I drank it all in. He was extremely muscualr, and he still carressed my cheek, making his muscles ripple at the movements.
I looked back up at his face, (not willingly, I tell you.) and saw he was smirking happily.
"Like what you see?" He asked me, humour practically dripping from his words. My face turned crimson red, and I quickly looked torwards the wall, causing him to laugh,"You're so cute." He smiled. I felt my cheeks getting hotter, causing him to laugh even more. I bit my lip and looked at him once again.
"Well," I started, my voice small, "my name is Astrid. What's yours?" He smiled, still.
"Asher. But you can call me Ash." His smile only grew when I gave him one of my own. Then his face turned serious. "Okay, you don't have to tell me everything that happened, but I need to know why you were passed out in the forest. I want to help you." He said the last part quietly, and I looked up at him. "I will never hurt you, love. Please remember that. I want to help you, okay? I'm willing to protect you, but first I need to know what from. You can trust me. Always," And for some odd reason, I did. Suddenly, by just looking into his deep green eyes, I trusted him.
"O-okay" I choked, looking up at him for reassurance, to which he nodded. "I don't think I'm ready to tell you everything, yet. But I'm willing to tell you that I was running away from my father." I looked away, and he nodded.
"It's okay," He whispered. I leant back against the pillows, closing my eyes.
After a couple of minutes, I peeked my right eye open to see him already staring at me.
"Do you promise you're not going to hurt me?" He watched me, before nodding.
"I promise."
-Asher's POV-
"I promise" I told her, and I meant every part of it. I could tell that she was still scared, but because she was my mate, she trusted me, even though she didn't exactly know why.
She was a human, and I was a werewolf, and most wolves mate with wolves, but I didn't care. Not one bit. I didn't know what to say at this point, really. I didn't want to scare her off, for one thing. I knew that somebody had hurt her- it was obvious. What with the bruises and everyhting.
"Are you hungry?" I asked, my eyes scanning her face. She gave a small nod, and I could tell that she was still quite shy. But she had every single right to be. I gently took her small hand in mine, pulling her up from the white bed. My hand practically envelopped her's, and I saw her smile a bit at the contact. She's so perfect, and she feels it too. I thought happily. When the sheets finally fell away from her petite body, she shivered.
I frowned, dropping her hand and walking to my closet. I searched through it, until I found a plain white tee-shirt and a grey pair of sweats with a tie to tighten them around the waist. I brought them over to her, and she smiled slightly.
"Thank you" She hummed. I smiled back, nodding, before I turned and left the room and waited for her to change.
When I heard her footsteps coming for the door, I turned torwards it and watched as it opened. A familiar smirk made it's way onto my face as I took her in. Damn, she looks hot in my clothes.
"Hey beautiful," I said, my smirk not leaving my face. Her cheeks turned deep red, and she bit her lip and looked away. Carefully taking her hand, I led her down the stairs and into the small kitchen. She looked around, and then back at me, giving me a small smile. I grinned, before dropping her hand and walking over to the white fridge and throwing it open. "So," I started, looking through the shelves, "what would you like?"
"Well, what do you have?"
I smirked, even though she couldn't see me. "Hmmm....." I hummed, "Well, I could make you a ham sandwich, pasta, Chinese takeout, and soup." I finished, turning around to face her. "Which'll it be?"
She grinned, and I could see the happiness and excitement swirling around in her deep blue eyes. "I love soup!" She cried happily, "Can I have some please?" I laughed out loud at her outburst, nodding.
" 'Course, babe," I said, dropping my right eye into a wink. She bit her lip which was currently curled up into a smile, nodding and looking at the tiles on the ground. I turned around and started to make her her soup, humming quietly as I did so. Due to my wolf-like hearing, I heard her light footsteps coming torwards me, and soon after I saw her sit down on a stool she had brought over.
"I want to get to know you.. So, we're going to play 20 questions. Okay?" She asked me, her eyes nervous as she waited for my answer. I regarded her, nodding. A sigh of relief fell from her lips, and she nodded.
"Okay..."
