*Asher's POV*

*2 Weeks Later*

As I found myself slowly waking up, I quickly realized my arms were empty. Moving my arms around sleepily, patting down the bed, I couldn't find her. My angel wasn't with me.

As it dawned on me, my eyes snapped open and I bolted up from the bed and looked around frantically.

'Baby where are you?' I asked nervously through the mind link. 'Babe answer me.' Still nothing. 'Astrid Kelly Wheeler I swear to fuck if you don't answer me I'm going to tear through the God damned house. Answer me!'  I was angry now. Not at her, but at the fact that she was gone.

"Astrid!" I roared, throwing the door open. Nowadays I rarely ever called her by her real name unless it was serious. It was usually Kitten, Baby, or Angel. But barely ever Astrid.

I sprinted down the stairs, checking in every room as I ran down the halls. I kept going until I came across the last door- the living room.

With my werewolf hearing, I could hear the TV on in there. I slammed the door open, looking around frantically. My wide eyes finally landed on the small and beautiful form curled up on the black leather couch.

Sighing, I walked over to her, turning off the TV. I swept her tiny body into my arms, careful not to wake her. She stirred in her sleep, mumbling something adorably as she curled her body against my much bigger one.

"Ash.." She whimpered, but I knew she was still asleep. Smirking, I pressed my lips softly to her forehad and turned to carry her back upstairs.

Just as I was about to start up the stairs, a loud knock sounded from the front door.

"Damn," I muttered, an inhuman-like growl rippling from my chest. Clutching her more protectively, I walked over to the large oak door, swinging it open.

There she stood, looking sluttier than ever.

Cara's clothes were more than revealing- it was practically dental-floss. Before, I might have found it attractive or a turn on, but now... It's revolting. I don't know how I ever found that the least bit sexy. The only girl that ever caught my eye was my angel.

I growled lowly as Cara regarded Astrid with disgust, wrinkling up her nose. "What is she doing here?" She spat.

"She is my mate, Cara. Now leave." I snarled, thankful that I was holding my mate, because if I wasn't, I would've shifted already.

"Your mate?" She choked, staring wide-eyed. "Oh my God, I am so sorry. It must suck to be with someone like her." That was the last straw.

Caspian was practically climbing the walls of my mind, growling and snarling, baring his teeth and snapping. He was trying to take control, and he was pretty close to doing it.

A loud and threatening snarl left my mouth as I stepped forward. I knew my eyes were the colour of Caspian's now, if it had anything to do with how she was staring at them in fear.

"You will apologize to your Luna when she wakes, and you will leave my house." I snapped, my voice deeper and more rough. I didn't really realize at the time that the Alpha Tone had leaked into my words, but I couldn't care less.

Nodding quickly, she turned and sprinted down my driveway and into her car, blatantly scared.

Feeling movement in my arms, I looked down to see Kitten turning her body towards mine and snuggling against my chest, nuzzling her face into my neck.

"Ash..." She mumbled, trying to get closer to me. I smiled softly, placing a light kiss to her exposed neck.

Her eyes snapped open, revealing the dark blue orbs I've fallen in love with so easily.

"Good morning, Kitten," I murmured, watching as she pulled a lazy smile onto her features.

"Morning," She said quietly, pressing a kiss to my shoulder. She stared blankly at the door for a second, before looking down at where she was. "Wasn't I in the living room?" She asked dubiously, still half-asleep.

Letting out a throaty laugh, I nodded, still grinning. "Yeah, you were, and you almost gave me a heart-attack when I couldn't find you!" I exclaimed, kissing her cheek.

A bright pink blush covered her cheeks, and she looked away. "Sorry," She mumbled, causing me to laugh harder.

"Babe, it's fine. Just tell me next time." I said once I had finally managed to stop laughing. She nodded, resting her head on my chest.

Over the weeks she'd been with me, she had honestly grown a lot healthier. She wasn't as tiny and fragile as she used to be; now she had perfect curves that I adored. She was still petite, but not in an unhealthy way. It was just her body shape.

Also, most of the bruises and cuts had healed over, and she was even more beautiful than when I first met her. She had clear tanned skin, and her lips weren't chapped anymore. They never really were, but now they were even softer and pink.

She had opened up a lot more, too, but had yet to meet the pack.

"I love you..." She mumbled, softly drawing patterns on my chest with her index finger.

Grinning, I kissed the crown of her head. "I love you too, Baby."

"RAWR!!"

A small yelp came from Astrid's mouth as she buried her face in my neck, her small body shaking. I chuckled quietly, pulling her closer.

"It's okay, Baby, it's just a movie." I murmured softly, kissing her temples. She relaxed to my touch, nodding but keeping her face in the crook where my neck meets my shoulder.

Turning the horror film off, I swept her into my arms and started for the stairs.

"What are we doing?" She asked curiously, peeking up at me adorably.

"Well, there's a pack barbecue tonight.." I trailed off, raising an eyebrow as I set her down on the bed.

A look of fear flashed across her eyes, and she bit her lip harshly.

"Baby," I started softly, kneeling down in front of her and taking her hands in mine. "They're going to love you. I promise."

She chewed her lip, unsure, before turning to meet my eyes. "What if they don't, though?" She whispered. "What if they hurt me?" Tears welled up in her beautiful blue eyes, and I quickly shook my head.

"They'll love you because I love you, and if any one of them even comes close to hurting you, which they won't, I'll tear them to shreds before anything happens, okay?"

"But what about that brown wolf from last time?" She choked, although she was visibly relaxing at my words.

"She won't be a problem," I said sternly, kissing her hard.

When we pulled apart, she nodded.

"Okay, but.." She looked nervous, and I frowned.

"What is it, Love?"

"I don't have any clothes.." She mumbled, looking down.

Nodding, I pulled her up so she was standing.

"I know, the barbecue isn't until 7. It's only 1, so I'm taking you shopping." I  grinned, seeing shock radiate off her.

"Really? You don't have to, I mean it's fi-"

"No." I said in a tone that said You-Have-No-Choice-So-Deal-With-It.

Sighing, she nodded. "Okay,"
