Chapter 367
The Beginning Of All Sins
Tyler glanced at the table, then calmly averted his gaze. âHeâs probably an important friend of Oliviaâs.â
âA friend? What kind of friend gets so close to her?â
Tyler fell silent, perhaps because he had nothing to say, After a few seconds, he spoke up, âIâll take care of this.â
Keith interjected, âThe news is still on the front page. How are you going to handle it?â
He glanced at his son, but seeing that had he rushed home immediately, he didnât say anything more.
When Naomi opened the newspaper that morning, she was shocked, âOlivia?â
She couldnât believe what she saw.
Seeing her reaction, Hillary reached for the paper and frowned as she read it.
âHow could this happen, Mom?â Naomi said that and immediately called Tyler.
Hillary stopped her. âDonât do that yet.â
Confused, Naomi looked up at her mother.
Though holding Naomiâs hand, Hillaryâs focus remained on the man in the news. âThatâs Pearce.
Taking the paper, Naomi squinted at the blurry image of the man. She didnât recognize him at first, but he did look like Claude.
Naomi frowned.
Hillary looked at the newspaper and smiled. âThatâs nice. Olivia knows Claude Pearce. That works to our advantage.â
Naomiâs hand relaxed, and she asked, âWhat do you mean?â
âOlivia and Tyler are expecting a child to save you, but theyâre not actually married. She has every right to be with anyone,â
âBut now itâs become a major issueâ¦â
âAna shot herself in the foot. Olivia did nothing wrong. Anaâs attempt to publicly frame her has backfired. Itâs only been two days, and Anaâs the one whoâs been hurt the most.â
Hillary was overjoyed as she told her daughter, âNaomi, even God is on your side.â
Naomi looked calmer after hearing all that.
Hillary placed a hand on her shoulder. âOlivia is a good girl. Sheâs always been considerate. I misjudged her,â she admitted sincerely.
Chapel 367 Naomi wasnât entirely convinced and still looked concerned. âOlivia is my sister. This could affect her future significantly⦠Sheâs still so young.â
Ana was furious that morning and slapped one of the malds. Even Tyler and Keith, who were downstairs, heard it.
Then, the maid started crying. âMaâam, why did you slap me?â
Ana yelled, âHave you all gone deaf? I asked you to bring me a glass of water. Didnât you hear? Are you ignoring me?â
âI really didnât hear you, but you shouldnât slap me for that.â
The maid continued crying upstairs, and Keithâs expression darkened at the harshness of his wifeâs actions.
Tyler remained silent, accustomed to her bossy attitude.
Anaâs fury stemmed not from the maidâs failure to hear her, but from everything that was happening outside.
She had invested time nurturing Olivia, believing her to be a trustworthy pawn. Anaâs kindness towards her had been genuine, yet she found herself the subject of ridicule.
Ana had treated Olivia very well and helped her fit in as Mrs. Harris, yet she did such a thing.
Throughout the night, anger had consumed Ana, boiling her very insides.
The maid was still crying as Maisy entered and heard everything upstairs. She frowned too.
Keith ignored her and just walked away, but Maisy said, âKeith, Ana is going through menopause, Please speak to her.â
âHer problems are selfâinflicted,â Keith retorted. âWhy should I bother?â
Ana had chosen Olivia as her daughterâinâlaw, and now faced the consequences, unable to escape the situation despite her tantrum.
Keith scoffed and went upstairs.
Maisy then looked at Tyler. âOlivia isnât that kind of person, Tyler. I know her very well.â
Tylerâs expression remained icy, but he remained silent as Maisy went upstairs worriedly.
Meanwhile, Ana continued to berate the maid, who sobbed quietly.
Maisy stood at the door and asked, âAna, why are you so angry?â
Ana looked at her and calmed down a little. After a few moments, she took a seat on the couch.
Maisy told the maid, âGo.â
The maid quickly got up and left the room.
Maisy walked into the room and told Ana, âI know why youâre angry, Ana. Iâm not blind. However, you have Chante. 368 spent enough time with Olivia and should know what kind of person she is. You should know her better than me.â
Ana looked over and frowned.
à¹à¸ âI believe Olivia is innocent, but something doesnât add up. Who stanu gain the most from this?â
After pondering for a moment, Ana scoffed.
Darren learned what had happened from Hillary when she returned home. He appeared angry as he exited the living room. âDarling, whatâs happening with Olivia? Have you talked to her?â
