Chapter 363
The Beginning Of All Sins
When Olivia called out to Ana, the latter snatched the newspapers from the table and hurled them at her.
âWhatâs this!â she exclaimed, her anger evident.
Olivia lowered her head to see the newspapers at her feet, standing frozen in place.
Ana couldnât believe the ridiculous situation unfolding before her, especially involving the daughterâinâ
law she had been so proud of. âWho is that man in the pictures?â she demanded.
Olivia stared blankly at the images printed on the newspapers.
How had anyone gotten hold of these pictures? At the cafe the other dayâ¦
She had so many questions flooding her head.
Ana sat there, her gaze fixed on Olivia, waiting for her response. After a long silence, she erupted, âSay something!â
The sight in the newspapers was a shock. Her cherished daughterâinâlaw, captured in a photograph with another man, had evidently overstepped bounds.
One could say that Olivia had cheated.
Ana had so much hope for her, yet she was flirting with another man as Mrs. Harris?
Olivia looked up and said, âItâs not like that. We didnâtâ¦â
âWho is he?! Tell me now! Why would you do that? Are you playing games?â
âNo, Ms. Ana. Iâm really not.â
âThen tell me what exactly happened. Iâll hear you out as long as you can explain yourself.â
Anaâs voice reverberated through the dining hall, so loud that Oliviaâs ears rangâshe felt like she was losing her hearing.
Suddenly, the sound of an engine roared from outside. A maid burst in, addressing Ana, âMaâam, Mr.
Keith is home!â
The news had caused a stir. Just a few days ago, Ana and Olivia were in the headlines, and now this scandal unfolded as everyone was learning about Olivia.
One could imagine the storm brewing outside.
Even the Harris Group felt the impact of the scandal. Naturally, Keith, who was away, was informed and hurried home.
Anaâs gaze darted towards the door at the announcement. She rose from her chair immediately.
Olivia followed her gaze and spotted Keithâs car in the courtyard.
Everything happened too fast. Oliviaâs face drained of color as she watched.
Keith entered, his expression grim as he stepped out of the car. Ana happened to reach the living room as he entered.
As they faced each other, he demanded, âWhatâs going on?!â
His gaze bore into Ana with fury.
She understood his reason for returning. Coldly, she responded to his anger, âHow would I know what happened?â
âEnough with your nonsense. Arenât you neglecting your duties by allowing this to happen at home?!â
Ana scoffed. âYou come home to interrogate me over this? What am I to you? Is it my responsibility to handle this?â
*Didnât you choose her yourself?â
His words hit Ana hard. âYo-â
Keith didnât engage further and headed straight for the dining hall.
