Chapter 328
The Beginning Of All Sins
After hearing what Linda said, Tylerâs hand paused midâair, and he turned his attention to the door.
One of them was inside the room, and the other was outside. There was a considerable distance between them.
Olivia didnât say anything as Tyler stared at her. He remained still, his expression complex.
Naomi wasnât facing the door, so she couldnât see who was outside. She only noticed Tyler staring at the door. In a quiet voice, she asked, âWhat is it, Tyler?â
When he heard Naomi, Tyler glanced away from Olivia and casually offered, âNothing. Want some gyozas?
Naomi, who had been craving them, smiled and accepted. âOkay. Itâs been ages since I last had them.
We used to eat them all the time back in university.â
Tyler seemed distracted and didnât really listen to her. He looked at the food in his hands, lost in thought.
After a moment, he told Linda, âYou can leave now.â
Linda hesitated, then replied, âOkay, Mr. Tyler.â
Tyler turned his back to Olivia, who was still at the door, and asked Naomi, âStill thinking about that gyoza place?â
Caught up in memories, Naomi said, âYes. Thatâs where we used to go on dates.â She then sighed.
âToo bad it closed down.â
Tyler chuckled. âIâll try to find the chef for you.â
Naomiâs face lit up with a bright smile. âReally? That would be wonderful.â
Tyler carefully scooped out some gyozad let it cool a bit before offering it to her. âTry this one.â
Naomi gave a weak smile. âIâm not a kid, you know, âYou act like one sometimes,â Tyler teased.
Naomi laughed softly.
From the doorway, Olivia watched him feed her sister. All she could see was his indifferent side profile Linda finally left, and the door closed firmly behind her. She offered Olivia, âLet me take you back, malam.â
Olivia gathered her courage and replied calmly, âNo, thank you. The maid is here, sheâll take me back.â
Linda stood still while Olivia was wheeled away.
Later that afternoon, back in her room, Alisa told Olivia, âMr. Tyler will probably visit you tomorrow.â
Olivia didnât respond, so the maid added, âIâm sure heâll come.â
Olivia just nodded and looked out the window.
The next morning, Ana was furious because she hadnât seen Tyler. Her frustration spilled over to Keith.
She asked him, âDo you know what happened to your daughterâinâlaw?â
