Chapter 120
The Beginning Of All Sins
Now, Harris Group had always been one of the universityâs most generous donors their name was even up on the main hall. So, hearing news like that wasnât much of a surprise, âYou know,â Sophie continued, âthey said Harris Groupâs doing, this for your sake. Something about trying to increase your sisterâs positive vibes? Itâs pretty weird, I know. Pat hey, those rich folks really believe in all this spirituality stuff way more than us regular folks, huh?â
Olivia had no idea. Why would they do this? Was it because she couldnât get pregnant like they had hoped?
But Sophie didnât notice Oliviaâs change in mood. She kept on talking, âYour sister graduated from here too, right? So, of course, Harris Group keeps donating, Man, our school sure benefits from being connected to Naomi, huh?â

Unable to think of a good excuse, she reluctantly agreed, âOkay.â
âIâll be waiting for you.â
Olivia told Sophie about her change in plans and canceled their dinner. As she headed to the entrance, she noticed Tyler checking his watch every few minutes.
âSorry for making you wait,â she apologized when she reached the car. The lab was quite a distance from the entrance.
Tyler set his documents aside. âI didnât wait that long. Get in.â
âJust the two of us?â she asked. They rarely ate together alone.
âNo, itâs⦠itâs an event I canât skip, so I thought of bringing you along,â he answered quietly.
Olivia recalled the story about his donation again,
