Chapter 13

The Battle

Project Unfinished

Ochard rammed into Jackson's stomach, poking him with horns.

Jackson fell down with an "Ouch!" from the stab and an "Oof!" from the floor.

Ochard grabbed him by the throat, and threw him across the room.

If only it was still night, Jackson thought. Then I could change into a werewolf. He looked at his watch. It read 2:12 a.m. Good, I can still transform. He struggled so hard, and all he got was an artery in his wrist almost popping. By now, Jackson was bleeding out from his arm. But strangely enough, it healed with a flash of fur growing over it, then disappearing, leaving his wrist the way he was born. Jackson's teeth grew longer and pointier. Purple light gathered around his body. And, he grew brown fur. Jackson smirked, and said in a deep voice, "Now you're useless." Jackson lunged at Ochard's legs, but missed. He looked back at Ochard and growled. He ran as fast as he could towards Ochard again, this time Ochard was a bit worried.

Ochard fell as Jackson grabbed his legs, and Jackson threw him through the wall. He ran outside, and looked deep into Ochard's non-moving eyes. Jackson sat down next to him, and cried, "I'm sorry, it had to be done."

Ochard jumped up and punched Jackson across his shaggy and furry face.

Jackson yelped.

Ochard's skin turned red, his horns grew the size of Jackson's arm, grew big wings, and long teeth to match Jackson's. He walked over to Jackson and yelled, "If I can't kill you right now, I'll kill your dad instead!"

Bethany gasped and launched herself at Ochard's middle, and pulled him to the ground. "Don't kill my future father-in-law!"

Jackson and Ochard were surprised to hear this. "What?" they asked simultaneously.

"Oh, ignore that bit. What I'm saying is, please don't listen to dad's commands if he's semi-dead."

"But I need to avenge him!" Ochard yelled in a rather rib-shaking voice.

"Well, there's other ways to avenge him. Now revert back to normal, you two."

They both did as they were told.

"Good boys." She walked over to her older brother and gave him a hug. "Goodnight, Och." She walked over to Jackson, and gave him a kiss on the lips. She released, and said, "Goodnight, Jack. Love you."

Jackson blushed and headed home. When he was returning, he stopped and turned around. He waved to Ochard and Bethany, and they waved back.

Then Bethany blew him a kiss.

Jackson looked around in the grass, as if he would've dropped it. He found it, and put it on his cheek.
