List of Characters and Important Terms

This is simply a handy guide to help you keep track of all the characters in my book, as well as MY explanation of a few important terms : ) Happy reading!

List of Characters for The Rules of the Red

Naomi Noble (also known as “Mimi”) - the main character, Werewolf, newest member of the Leadership and the Garou Pack. She’s on a quest for revenge and enlightenment. Nothing will stop her.

Ethan Raines - Naomi’s Champion. Werewolf, a member of the Garou Pack, extremely good looking and ambitious. He’s going places and he plans on taking Naomi with him.

Adelle Newport (also known as “Addy”) - Naomi’s best friend. A member of the Garou Pack and also a Werewolf. Keeper of secrets and worshipper of cynicism.

Tidus Romaine (sometimes known as “Ti”) - a member of the First Family. Also one of the oldest, strongest Vampires in the world. Handsome, charming, dangerous and sarcastic. Intentions? Complicated. But they seem to include Naomi. Ex-member of the Vampire Council, current member of the Revenant Clan.

Charles Noble - The Elder of the Leadership and the Garou Pack. Naomi’s grandfather. Cold, distant, calculating. Dangerous? Probably.

Diane Noble - Naomi’s grandmother, and wife to the Elder. Lover of tea and harvester of vervain.

Jack Noble - Naomi’s biological father. Ex-Elder of the Garou, and married to Paris Noble. Deceased. Demise? Under investigation.

Paris Noble (formerly known as Paris Talimer) - Naomi’s biological mother, Werewolf. Also tried to take Naomi’s inheritance. A bitch, and possibly a murderous one…

Mrs. Trentley - butler of the manor. A fellow secret keeper that possibly created cynicism. Human.

Mr. Talbot - Jack Noble’s lawyer, now Naomi’s. He cleans up messes and produces results.

Jeremy Franks - Human. Works for a law firm full of Vampires. Paris Noble’s greasy lawyer.

Lucas Blacklock - Member of the Leadership and the Garou Pack. Runs the Blue Moon Bar. Jack Noble’s best friend.

Mathew Raines - Ethan Raines’ father. Member of the Leadership and the Garou Pack. Chauvinistic and cunning. Married to Kimber Raines.

Sofia Devila - Member of the Leadership and the Garou Pack. Rude and condescending.

Claire Briton - works for Jeremy Franks. Also sleeps with him. Turns a new leaf.

Thalia Talimer - Paris Noble’s sister, Werewolf. Lives in Hasting. Possible murder suspect.

Eve Arling - Ethan’s psychotic ex. Likes to throw wrenches in Naomi’s plans.

Johl Romaine - Tidus’ youngest, living brother. Vampire, member of the First Family, charming, deceptive. Member of the Vampire Council and the Revenant Clan.

Olivia Romaine - Tidus’ older, only sister. Beautiful vampire, mature, member of the Vampire Council and the Revenant Clan.

Caspian Romaine - The youngest Romaine sibling. Involved in the disappearance of Sully Noble. Deceased.

Laiken Romaine - The oldest Romaine sibling. Whereabouts currently unknown.

Sully Noble - Naomi’s great-grandmother from her father’s side. Married to James Parker. Got involved with Vampires and mysteriously disappeared. Most likely deceased.

Edward Noble - Naomi’s great, great grandfather from her father’s side. Sully Noble’s father, and once an Elder to the Garou.

James Parker - Sully Noble’s husband and once an Alpha to the Garou.

Katherine Noble - Naomi’s great, great grandmother from her father’s side. Sully Noble’s mother, died after giving birth to her daughter.

Claudia Dimiwitz - Witch, ex-member of The Order. Extremely loyal to Ti, and a pain in the ass towards Naomi.

Angel Dimiwitz - Claudia’s younger sister. Used to be a Witch. Currently a depressed Vampire.

Ben Foster - head curator and leading archaeologist for the New Yorker Museum.

Shira Castra - Ben Foster’s assistant, also happens to be a sphinx.

Countess Neona Aslin - original owner of the cursed ring. Possible killer of Cole Beckett and Isobel Shield.

Cole Beckett - Vampire that Tidus knew from the 1700’s. Husband to Isobel Shield. The inspiration for the Countess’ evil ring.

Isobel Shield - fell in love with Cole Beckett. Probably died with him too.

Collin Mathers - sweet, charming, Adelle’s boyfriend. Hopelessly Human and completely clueless about the Supernatural world.

The Triplets - sisters, ex-members of the Red Hand. They run The Bakery, dealing ganja and magical herbs.

Chandler Sloane - reporter for the Harbor’s Herald. Funny, intrusive. Also happens to be an incubus.

Kimber Raines - Ethan Raines’ nosy step-mother, and Mathew Raines’ second (often drunken) wife.

Lillian Dimiwitz - Claudia’s grandmother and the High Priestess of The Order. Hunters are convinced she’s orchestrating some serious carnage.

Samael Noble - First known Werewolf, and brother to Drake Noble. He created the Noble line. His origins are unknown.

Drake Noble - First known Vampire, and brother to Samael Noble. He Turned the Romaine Family, and from them, all other Vampires are descended. His origins are unknown.

Marcus, Jake, and Sydney - a trio (and family) of Hunters that is currently involved in tracking down a group of witches involved in some grisly sacrificing.

Vivienne - the Hunters’ Vampire. She’s working on a debt that might Naomi may end up costing Naomi too…

The Mermaid - The young, green-haired lass residing in Tidus Romaine’s fountain.

Terms You should Know!

Supernaturals - the term for all non-Human beings.

Werewolves - Those with the controlled ability to shift into Wolves. They have slightly accelerated powers of healing, but are not immortal. They have super strength, heightened senses, and a severe reaction to anything silver.

Vampires - the Undead with a craving for Human blood. Unlike Werewolves, they cannot be born, only created. They are gifted with super speed and super strength (and possibly a few other gifts), however they are burned by sunlight and roses. No one knows why. Yet.

Witches/Warlocks - those with the ability to perform and manipulate magic.

Succubi/Incubi - those who feed off of the sexual energy of others. They also have the ability to manipulate one’s mood.

Garou Pack - The Werewolf Pack that resides in Harbor Village. Most of the Werewolves mentioned in this story are members of the Garou Pack. Charles Noble is the current Elder. The Pack used to be ruled by the Elder and the Alpha, until Charles created the Leadership instead. The Garou have always been led by a Noble.

The Leadership - In charge of the Garou Pack. They set the rules and enforce the standards.

The Vampire Council - In charge of the Revenant Clan. They set the rules and enforce the standards.

Revenant Clan - The Vampire Clan that resides in Harbor Village. They are run by the Vampire Council.

The Order - A witch coven in Hasting that is run by the High Priestess, Lillian Dimiwitz.

The Red Hand - A witch coven in Harbor Village.

Hunters - Human warriors gifted with super strength. They were created by witches to protect Humans.

Human Affairs - The only branch of the Human government that knows about the existence of Supernaturals. Your average Sam and Dean Winchester, except not always as funny, or competent.

The Rules of the Red - laws that have been written by Supernaturals, for Supernaturals. These laws are meant to preserve the Supernatural way of life, but sometimes all they seem to really do is get in the way.
