Chapter 16- (Erik's Point of View)

I slowly felt my body waking up and moaned when I realized how much pain I was in. God, please let me pass out again. I stiffened a little bit when I heard a small sound. Was that a gasp?

I felt someone's hand on my chin and flinched "Erik?"

"Casey?!"

Wait. I know that voice. But it can't be him. He's nowhere near here. Casey? Was Casey here?

"Erik? Wake up. It's me. Its Trent. Wake up for me."

"You're lying." I finally croaked out. This was just cruel.

"Lying? What do you mean?"

"You aren't real." I sighed.

"I am real. I promise." I felt his hand on my chin again and smiled a tiny bit. I refused to open my eyes because then I would realize he wasn't real. I wasn't in a giant hurry to realize that.

"Open your eyes." He whispered. "I promise you I'm real. I am here. Open your eyes babe."

My eyes slowly opened with the endearment and I almost gasped when he was actually sitting in front me. I lifted my hand to touch his face.

Huh. He was here. Go figure.

"How did you get here?" I questioned, a little more awake.

"Probably the same way you did." He huffed and sat down, looking frustrated. "Do you have any idea what's going on here or how Casey got here?"

"Not really." I looked over at the other man "So you're Casey?" I winced in pain and shifted my body, trying to get more comfortable. "You fucking suck." I looked into Trent's eyes again "I've been here for a couple days and this guy comes in every so often. I have no clue who he is."

Trent tensed and then sighed in anger.

He turned to Casey "I could fucking kill you right now. What the fuck is going on? How did you get here? Why am I here if they found you? This doesn't make any fucking sense."

Casey sighed "I don't know. I'm sorry. I don't know. I've been here longer than Eric and I barely know the guy who's been coming in here. All I know is he works for my boss in another part of the city. I didn't think he was a captain or some shit." He swallowed and winced. Probably dehydrated and in pain by now. Good.

Trent grabbed my hand and squeezed.

"Well isn't that sweet."

We both tensed with the new voice and you could hear Trent's head whip around to see who it was. I didn't need to open my eyes to know. It was always the same guy.

"Who the fuck are you?" demanded Trent.

I just sighed "Don't bother. He won't tell you."

I heard a chuckle and finally opened my eyes to meet his piercing brown ones and stared without feeling. I just wanted to go home. This wasn't my fight. I wasn't giving up by any means, I just knew this wasn't my fight and refused to get myself killed over it.

It wasn't my fault this guy was too stupid to recognize that I had nothing to offer.

The man pulled another chair into the room and sat down before crossing his arms over his chest and staring at us.

Trent was agitated and wanted answers. "Who are you? And why did you take Erik? He has nothing to do with this." Trent stood up after his outburst and started pacing.

"I am so hurt that you don't recognize me Trent."

Trent stopped mid step and whipped around with confusion on his face. "I don't know you!"

"Oh yes, you do. Don't worry. You'll realize who I am soon enough."

Trent clenched his fist and you could practically hear his teeth grinding in anger.

The man chuckled again and shifted his body with a sigh. He shifted his gaze to me and I blinked slowly.

"You'll see why were all here soon enough Erik." And he winked at me.

I shrugged "I'm really tired of seeing your ugly face dumbass." I smiled at him before letting my face become expressionless.

He glared but turned to Trent "I honestly don't know what you see in him."

I could feel Trent's gaze on me and I turned to give him a small grin. He chuckled shortly and shook his head.

The man sighed and stood up before walking to the door.

He grabbed the knob and turned it before turning around and cutting his gaze to Trent "You never did know when to shut up Tent."

He walked out and slammed the door before we heard him snap the lock on the outside.

I whipped my gaze to Trent, and he was staring at the door with wide eyes and an open mouth. Speechless.

"Tent?" I questioned.

He flinched but didn't answer.

What the hell?
