FIFTY

THE DAY STARTED like any other day, with one small difference. It wasn't a normal day. It felt somehow wrong and Jimin is again the only one with this feeling in his guts.

It's always Jimin, the only one sensing something's off, the only one feeling different than the rest, than other people. He has always been different. And he has always been aware of this fact.

It's probably his power of future vision, maybe it's also a feeling in his gut, that's telling him something is about to happen soon.

He hasn't dreamed of his vision for the last 5 days. It's the longest without having to see this traumatic vision, the terrifying images. And today, waking up again without dreaming about the vision, Jimin can feel that today is not just a normal day. It's different and he knows.

"You shouldn't go to work today." Jimin says as he walks up to his Hyung who's making coffee, one for Jimin and one for himself. Next to him is Jimin's cat, snuggling her head against Yoongi's leg.

"Why, what's wrong?" Yoongi asks, turning around to shortly peck Jimin's cheek before taking both cups, handing one to Jimin.

"I have a bad feeling about today." Jimin admits, grabbing the cup. He doesn't feel like drinking or eating anything at the moment.

"But I can't just skip work. Have you seen it again?" Yoongi asks slowly caressing Jimin's arm to comfort him.

"No, that's the point. I haven't seen it for days. I'm really worried." The younger responds, and Yoongi nods before leaving a kiss on Jimin's forehead.

"Don't worry so much my love." He says softly, but it didn't ease the worry or fear inside of Jimin. Not now.

The feeling is too strong to ignore it. But he has to. He can't force Yoongi to stay at home, to not leave the house and to skip work. At some point it will happen. There's no way around, Jimin knows it will happen. He just doesn't know when and if he can prevent it.

Changing the future, huh?

It felt similar, he feels helpless. Just like the day his parents died. He saw the vision but it was too late, he wasn't there. He couldn't stop it.

What if the past repeats again? What if he won't be able to save Yoongi as well? What if he-

A phone ringing brings Jimin back to reality, making him look to his partner. The elder picks up the phone.

Yoongi barely said anything during the call, the person who called him was speaking mostly.

The elder shortly looked at Jimin, before nodding, „We will be right there."

With that he hangs up, „We need to go."

Jimin frowns but follows him. Their two cups were left on the counter.

By that time they couldn't have known how this day would end.

They all gathered in Commander Kim's Office not long after the phone call. Yoongi and Jimin were the last ones to arrive.

„Good now everyone's here-" Namjoon starts but notices that someone is still missing, „Where's Officer Jeon?"

The others look around but just shrug their shoulders in response.

„Officer Kim?" he looks at Taehyung but the younger just shakes his head.

„I haven't seen him since last night after our training." The Officer responds with a shrug.

„He wasn't at home neither." Sergeant Min adds. Namjoon frowns but decides to continue anyways since he has an important topic to talk about.

„For few months, me and Detective Kim were working on a special case. It's an underground gang that is treating to reveal state secrets now that we caught one of their gang members." Namjoon starts explaining, „They're extremely dangerous and would kill for their own. They also have spies everywhere and very intelligent agents. We almost caught them all, but failed in the end. The strayers are also helping us for a while but now it's serious and we need all of you."

He looked at every one, they all seem to realize the seriousness of this case. It's different from the other cases, they can feel it. Namjoon and Seokjin worked on it for months but with no success. They only have a few clues, a few names but no faces. They don't know their hideout, their group size nor their leader. It's one of Namjoon's hardest tasks since he became a Commander.

"Last night we were hacked by them. Our whole system was turned down for a few minutes. It's a case that has never happened before. Detective Kim managed to end the attack right after but the damage is huge. But through their attack, we were able to track down an ID, which lead us to an address." Commander Kim explains, "Now we have to act carefully and we need all of you-"

Suddenly, for just a short second the lights went off and on again, a loud sound echoing through the halls of the SWAT department. Detective Kim immediately left the meeting room, running to his own office. A few IT assistants were trying to get the system back to working, but Jin recognize the problem immediately. It's an hacker attack again. The rest of Bulletproof followed Jin to his office, while he was trying to stop the attack.

"What's going on?" Jimin asks his partner worried, a big frown on his face. Yoongi sighs, "It's a hacker attack again-"

A shrill sound made everyone flinch, a sound coming from all of the speakers in the halls of the department. The many screens in Jin's office went off, before going on again. They show a man wearing a black mask.

"What's going on here?" Chan, who just joined the group, asks, but no one answers. The man on the screen starts talking.

„Hello dear SWAT department, hello police officers." The man says, using a voice changer to hide his real voice.

„Most of you haven't met me, in fact no one really did but I do have some - let's call them friends that are getting on my nerves for a quite long time now. I hope you're watching, Commander Kim, Deputy Kim and Sergeant Bang." The stranger continues, causing everyone to look at the called men, „We do have some history, don't we? Wait- wait- you can't answer right? I have a solution."

Suddenly a phone starts ringing, it's Namjoon's. A frown on his face, anger in his eyes, he answers it.

„That's better, now you can answer me." The man says through the phone, causing Namjoon to grit his teeth.

„What do you want?" He responds angrily.

„There's a lot we want. And we are angry. All of our efforts were in vain, because your officers made all of our plans fail." The attacker says, „The public attack, was to send out a message to the government and media- but because of you we failed. We barely made it to the news, guess why? Because they are trying to hide the reality, the biggest mistake made in our country's history!"

His voice gets louder and angrier but he calms down again before continuing to talk.

„Then you found our side hustle- not a big loss in this case even though we earned a lot of money from the drug and human trafficking. Again some of my people were killed." He says, „It was bearable but- defusing the bomb that was meant to destroy the administration building of one of the biggest companies- that was a huge mistake. Again my people died."

A sigh leaves his lips, he grabs a gun from what seems to be a table in front of him, „Huge huge mistake- just like protecting that son of a bitch Go Hyungdo. This bastard is just a small piece of the puzzle. Just a marionette that will die, sooner than you expect."

He plays with the gun in his hand, staying quiet for a second before looking at the camera again, „Oh did I say sooner? I meant like right now. Ups- I guess it already happened. Go check the news."

Everyone exchanged panicked faces before Hoseok grabbed his phone to check the news.

The first headline that appeared on his phone:

DEATH OF GO HONGDO

„What do you want?!" Namjoon shouts into his phone, tightening the grip around the small device.

„Calm down- I'm not done yet." The man responds, „Now that you've destroyed most of my plans and have been getting on my nerves pretty bad the last few months, I'm done with my patience."

He starts swing his gun, signaling the man recording him to turn the camera to a different spot.

„I'm extremely angry now." He says, „The biggest enemy- the biggest problem of this country- this fucked up government has to be taken down- and you bastards are sabotaging my master plan! I need you to stop messing with us! And to stop killing my people!"

He grabs the camera himself and points it at a corner of what seems an old abandoned building, showing a few males on the floor. As he gets closer, shocked gasps escapes the officers' lips.

His voice is angry, filled with rage and hatred, „Or else I will kill these motherfuckers! You get me?!"

With that a gun shot is fired, hitting one of the three males in the leg. A muffed sound leaves the young man's lips.

„That was just the beginning. Why don't you say hello?" The man says, before grabbing the first male by his black hair, to reveal his face by showing it to the camera.

The others knew the face before even seeing to, but now it confirmed their assumption.

„Come on say hi, Officer Jeon!" He laughs.

It's only muffed sounds coming from the young Officer's mouth, as he has a tape covering his lips.

A heavy tension in the Deputy's office made it almost impossible to breathe. Jimin feels his whole body being consumed by a sudden anger. He feels it rushing through his veins. He knew something was off, he knew it - he felt it.

Looking at their Commander, Jimin immediately knew how bad this was. The anger is written all over Kim's face. His gaze shifts to Seokjin who's typing on his laptop, most likely trying to stop the hacker attack and to find out their location.

Just as Namjoon's about to say something, another person rushes into the room. No other than the deputy Chief Manobal herself.

"What the hell is going on??" She shouts and everything that happened after she entered the room, was like a movie flashing right in front of Jimin's eyes. He couldn't understand a thing, he couldn't hear a damn thing, his eyes lost focus, his hands trembling, his legs feeling weak.

It's not a vision - damnit it's just panic. Anger mixed with frustration, hatred, fear but also determination. He clenches his jaw, forms his hand into a fist, a deep breath in - and out. Everything around him happens so fast, commands being given, people rushing around , weapons being handed out, protective gear being put on. It all happened like a dream, and so fast.

Even though Jimin may seemed out of focus, his whole mind and body is ready - and fucking focused.

It's time to save their colleagues and kill these motherfuckers.
