5. Chaos

AADVIK MALHOTRA

"Jaldi nikal ja, andar ek ghante se kya kar raha hai?" I said finally giving up from knocking the bathroom door.

"Arey raja tu bhi andar aaja itni hi chull machi hai aane ko to" Abhinav yelled from inside.

My nose scrunched up in disgust "Chup! Pagal wagal hai kya?"

I sighed and went towards my luggage, today's Sameer and Meher's haldi. I mostly recognized my old classmates from 10th or 12th class but there was a face I couldn't forget, can't forget and will not forget. The moment my eyes crashed on her brown eyes, everything else disappeared. It felt like I have got a reason to live now. After almost a decade I finally found her, I finally found a reason to survive. Because of a one misunderstanding my whole world crashed, I lost everything.

She was my everything

But now that I know shes here, I'll make sure I am not this time letting her go, letting my Chanda go.

It was time to win Veda fucking Roy back.

Laughs were echoing through the backyard, there sat the groom's and the bride's side applying haldi to them.

I stood beside a pillar watching them having fun from afar until I watched a old lady probably in her late 50s come towards me.

She came and asked me "Beta teri shaadi ho gayi?" leaving me flustered and embarrassed but after a second I replied with "No dadi abhi nahi"

She frowned but then smiled "Arey beta tujhe pata hai meri poti ko khana banane bhi aata hai, chai ki toh baat hi mat karo itni mast banati hai kya batau, aur na vo doctor bhi hai, AIIMS Delhi me kaam karti hai"

"Arey re dadi mera matlab meri zindagi me already koi hai"

The lady grinned "Ohho then who's the apsara han?"

Just then bickering noises were heard, I looked towards the source.

Aagayi meri apsara

"Dadi vo the one in yellow kurti and white pants is her" I pointed out.

"Beta vo wali ladki dikh rahi jo yellow sharara me hai? Vo meri poti hai" Dadi smiled at me.

My eyes widen "V-Vo? Aapki poti? Aap Tripti ki dadi hain?! Pranam dadi ji!" I quickly bent down to touch her feet.

She gave me blessing and inquired, her brows furrowed "Beta you know her?"

"She studied with me, I was her classmate"

My playful grin turned into a mischievous smirk when I thought an idea.

"Arey dadi aapko pata hae, mera dost vo udhar baitha hai" I pointed at Vihaan who was sitting besides Darsh and Sameer "Usko Tripti pasand hae"

I smiled.

The lady's face turned into a huge smile "Hein? Sachhi? mai chalti hun tab beta, khayal rakhna"

I nodded "theek hai, aap bhi"

After the lady went away, I finally breathed in peace. For a second I thought I am gonna get engaged today.

VIHAAN SINGH RAJPUT

We all were laughing and chatting until I noticed Aadvik came into the view.

"Where were you?" Abhinav asked while adjusting his shirt.

"Talking" He replied while rolling his eyes.

"Aurat hai kya? Aakhen kya ghuma raha hai?" Darsh looked at him eyeing up and down.

Sameer waved his hands and said "We should dance and sing guys otherwise I'd be tied with my devil forever" He winked at his soon-to-be wife while Meher just blushed and added "Han kyu nahi?"

Abhinav went up and started the DJ while all the people started gathering around us, the beat of music starting making them jump out of excitement.

Darsh, Abhinav and I wore Meher's and some ladies' dupatta over our head and started swaying our body. We were the centre of the attention and everybody else were cheering and hooting.

Suddenly some girls came into our view pressing their bodies against the rhythm of the music.

I immediately recognized one, Emerald Jhumke and it were her friends, one a certain brunette with caramel highlights and one with black hair in a yellow suit.

Her syncopated dance was what kept me speechless, the way she swept.

Suddenly they joined us and we started dancing like the music was just made for us. The dupatta over Abhinav's fell over the caramel hair while the brunette just hooted.

All six of us were now swaying together while the other people just hooted and cheered, I took a glance at her, she looked genuinely happy, atleast not the best but it was just enough.

Suddenly I was pulled by someone, I mutated and saw Aadvik "I want to tell you something"

I gestured him to go ahead and he added "Teri shaadi teh kara di, bol lakd-ladki pasand aayi?"

My jaw dropped "Kya fuck- are you mad or what? Aadvik the fuck?!-" I ran my hands through my hair.

He tried to calm me down "the girl is Tripti"

I scratched my head trying to remember "Tripti who?"

He looked at me with disbelief "Jiske saath tu abhi thumke laga ke aarha hai"

"Oh-WHAT?!" My eyes widened.

No. Freaking. Way.

I wasn't getting married especially not to Emerald Jhumke-i mean Tripti.

No way in hell she would be my arranged fianceè.

"I am not getting married" I declared, my voice tight yet demanding.

"It's up to you" He did a shrug and left from here.

I was walking towards the exit door when I heard Tripti and her friends giggling and laughing, I almost made my way past them until I heard a splash.

I mutated, my eyes froze, my breath accelerated when I saw Tripti inside the swimming pool, I moved my eyes to her friends, all of them were laughing while she was drowning.

Without giving myself another thought I jumped inside the pool, the cold water touching the skin of my body in mid December giving me chills.

I could hear everyone hooting.

I quickly took Tripti in my arms and made my way towards her friends.

"Mera muh kya dekh rahin mera hae aap sab? Chaliye inka room dikhaiye"

The curly haired one nodded and we started walking together.

My kurta was drenched in water while Tripti was unconscious in my arms.

I looked beside myself where the curly hair walked "Veda ho kya?" I interrogated.

Her face formed into a frown then transformed into a grin "Yes, Vihaan..?"

I winked "Itna muscular build ho gaya hun ki ab tum bhi mujhe nahi pehchan payi"

She laughed and stopped gesturing towards a door "You can leave now, I'll take care of her. Also thank you."

I shook my head "No its nothing" I glanced at Tripti last time before leaving her to Veda, I almost don't recognize her. I bet Aadvik would be on his knees by now.

TRIPTI SINGH

I woke with a sudden jolt just to see Veda with me scrolling while laying on the bed.

"Kya hua?" I looked at her.

"Jaake kapde badal lo, Vihaan tujhe chhorne aaya tha, kisi bachhe ne tumhe pool me dhakka de diya tha" She controlled her laugh.

I sighed and looked myself.

I looked at Palak almost not believing

"How can you eat this-" I eyed at her plate "-much"

Palak just rolled her eyes and said "Gulab Jamun try Kiya?"

When I shook my head she replied "Toh jaa aakhri hi bache hai"

I stood up while I saw Veda and Swastika talking and eating.

My heels clicked on the tile floor and made me feel like a Victoria Secret's model

After I reached the buffer I saw one Gulab Jaamun and just when someone took it. I looked up at the person and saw him again.

"I saw it first then it is mine!" I said annoyingly.

The corner of his tipped up "I also see you every morning does that means you're mine?" His words weighted sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes "Lekin maine vo pehle dekhi thi samjhe!"

"Nahin samjha madam ji, samjhaiye"

Just when I started to leave I saw his friend coming and then looked both of us then said "Arey tu bhi na Vihaan, bhabhi ko dede"

My eyes ping-ponged between both of them, fear was visible on both of their faces.

"Shit"
