Chapter 17

Samaira's Pov:-

After ending the call with Mr. Banerjee, I lazily made my towards the bathroom.

After freshing up, I decided to pack my luggage, because I have less time.

I booked my flight ticket for evening. So that I can reach earlier.

After packing everything, I sat on the bed looking around the room, where I stayed for 6 years.

Woah! It's been 6 years since I left india. My stubbornness made me who I am today. It's really unbelievable that I established a company on my own. I feel proud about it sometimes.

Pushing my thoughts aside, I thought to get ready. After some time, I wore a pink crop top with black jeans, with a smart watch on my left wrist and some sliver rings adorning my index and ring fingers.

I still have time left, so I decided to meet my friends, who I made while studying here.

After one hour, I'm done with meeting my friends and farewells. I returned to my apartment.

After booking a taxi, I made my way towards the luggage, I have to drag, There isn't so much, it's just three suitcases. Lol.

After half-and-hour, I reached the airport, when I hear the announcement, I rush towards the checking session.

After being done with checky session, I finally settled in my seat.

Thank god! Finally some relief! Looking outside the window, I wonder, how my family members will react seeing me after so many years?

How will he react? Does he care about me?

Wait! What the heck! I'm thinking about him, after going through this many things! Shit! My mind is not functioning properly, as I mentioned earlier! Don't mind me!!

Whatever, my gaze fixed on the window, don't know if I'm just looking or staring at the poor window.

Slowly my thoughts drift towards the past, I held within myself, The past I want to move on from.

I cringe at myself as I remember, how I used to roam around Aryan even though he rejects me.

God! Why even i'm remembering this, at this freaking moment. I don't even know how I'm gonna face him.

He directly rejected me on my face, I felt a pang of hurt and anger remembering the words that escaped his lips.

Which stabbed my heart a thousand times.

Whatever! I'm just returning to India because of my brother's wedding! That's it! This time I'm determined to not to fall for him.

A sigh left my lips, I'm returning to India. Woah! I've said this sentence many times. Lol. That's absurd.

Anyways, I'll reach India in few hours, But I'm super excited for my brother's wedding! I wonder who's gonna be my bhabhi.

It should be riya! Cuz, I've observed them many time stealing glances. It will be Riya right? Wait! They would've revealed it, If it is riya! But they didn't!

If it isn't riya, I'll seek justice for her!.

Let's see what the destiny held for us. Just like this, Lost in thoughts. I drifted into deep sleep, Not knowing when.

Aryan Pov:-

After completing whatever meetings and schedules I have, I returned home with a tired look. As always.

I reached home pretty early today, It's 9:30 pm. Actually my usual timings are 11:30 pm or whatever it is.

Anyways, After reaching home, I was greeted by the sight of my family.

All are busy discussing about riya's wedding, rituals and all.

I settled on the sofa, where all my family members are seated.

"How's your day beta? You look tired" Stated maa, handing over a glass of water.

"All the day is filled with meetings as always" I replied offering a small smile.

"Okay then! I'll arrange dinner for you! Fresh up and come over for dinner!" Stated maa offering a warm smile.

"What about you guys? You haven't had dinner yet?" I questioned, my brows furrow in confusion.

"We were waiting for you bhai!" Spoke riya with a bright smile.

My heart swells at their affection for me. Even though, I had a rough day, They never fail to enlight my mood.

"Okay then! I'll fresh up!" Saying this, I marched towards my room and quickly took a warm soothing bath.

After reaching dining hall, I settled in my seat.

Maa served all of us along with suguna chachi.

"I guess we only have roughly two weeks for wedding, We have to hurry up and do the shoppings as soon as possible!" Stated suguna chachi ji.

"Okay then, I'll inform vijay and let's set a date for shopping" Stated papa while eating.

All of them nodded in agreement.

"Yes, We've to purchase Rings, clothes, gifts and all! We've to hurry up" Stated maa, a sense of urgency in her voice.

"Woahhh!!!!" Exclaims riya, jumping from her seat.

All of us stopped eating and got startled for a moment. Confusion washed over our faces.

"What happened? Why are you jumping like that?" Stated maa, her brows furrow in confusion.

"Samaira's returning to India!!!!" Stated Riya. Making my movements halt at a stop.

My heartbeat increased. I looked in riya's direction.

Samaira is coming!

She is coming back!

Finally!!!! Finally!!!!

I suppressed the smile forming on my face.

All of the elders exchanged glances and flashed bright smiles.

"That's amazing! Finally samaira's returning to india!" Stated maa, flashing a bright smile.

"Yea! That's amazing! How do you know that?" Stated dhruv, finally engaging in conversation.

"Rajvansh texted me about it!" Stated riya, flashing a bright smile. But later she realized that, she accidentally revealed she's talking with rajvansh.

All of the elders started looking at riya with teasing smiles.

Riya being embarrassed quietly sat on her seat. "Ohoo, So madam is talking with her future hubby! Ooo" Teased Dhruv with a mischievous smile.

All of them erupted into chuckles. I shook my head with a small smile.

A crimson red flew into riya's cheeks, and she hid her face in her palms.

"Okay! Okay! Y'all Stop teasing my daughter!" Stated papa with a chuckle.

All of them started eating, while engaging in conversations.

Finally she is returning back to india, After so many freaking years! Finally!

A small smile spread across my face, thinking about samaira's return.

After so many years, I can see her, her bright smile, her shining eyes, her carefree laughter.

Thinking about this, My heart raised with excitement.

"Bhai what happened? You're smiling to yourself?" Questioned dhruv, his tone teasing.

Why is that? I thought to myself.

All of their gazes shifted towards me.

"Uhm- Nothing, I'm- I'm done. Good night y'all!" I stammered.

Shh!! I'm stammering? That's a biggest joke.

But just now you did! Mocked my subconscious mind.

Whatever.

Saying this, I marched towards my room. Closing the door, I laid on my bed.

Finally! Samaira's returning! I don't know, How I'll face her but, I'm not going to set back.

A sigh escaped my lips. Soon sleep consumed me. Leaving no room for further thoughts.

*At Airport*

Samaira's Pov:-

Finally!! Reached India!!! It's been so many days!!

It's been years you fool! Mocked my subconscious mind.

Whatever. This little brain of mine, Always find a reason to mock me. Uff!

Nostalgia hit me like a wave. It's been years since I left to New York! Finally I can meet my family members!

My heart raised with excitement at this thought.

After existing the checking session, I found Kiara waving her hand at me.

A bright smile adorning her heart-shape-face.

My enthusiasm kicks in, after seeing her after so many years.

I sprinted towards her, while she did the same.

We both sprinted towards each other and met in a bone crushing hug.

Woah! That's felt like an eternity. A sense of happiness washed over me after seeing her. My heartbeat raised with excitement.

"Woah! Babe! You're looking hot!! Like dude! You've changed into a freaking pretty woman! Look that curves of yours!!" Exclaims Kiara, her voice filled with happiness.

A chuckle escaped my lips, I spoke, "Babe, Calm down!! But I've to admit that, You are no less!!" I replied breaking the hug.

"Woah!! Look that sexy abs of yours!! I'm dying!!" I added, eyeing her abs through her crop top.

She wore a black crop top with matching jeans, and a watch on her right wrist.

"You pervert" Stated Kiara with a playful smile, lightly hitting my shoulders.

Both of us chuckled.

"Babe! Where's your luggage?" Inquired Kiara, glancing at me.

Then, Realization dawned upon me, I left it there, after seeing kiara.

"Sorry! It's there!" I replied, pointing at my lonely luggage.

"Wait! Lemme grab it, your Highness, please wait here!" Stated Kiara, grabbing the luggage.

A chuckle escaped my lips at her actions.

"Let's go! The car's ready!" Stated Kiara dragging me with her.

After settling in the car, Kiara spoke,

"Yoo! Mahima aunty said, You declined everyone to pick you up, why is that?" Her tone steady.

"Because i'ma not a kid to be picked up! And I don't want to disturb them, They must be busy with works" I replied, pulling out my phone from my pocket.

"Woah! Bro! You're thinking wisely! That's not my samaira" Joked Kiara with a playful smile.

"Shut up!" I retort, lightly hitting her shoulder.

"Now! Tell me! How have you been?" Spoke kiara, her tone gentle.

"I'm fine! What about you?" I replied reflecting her expression.

"Same! I'm fine too! Just busy with some cases" Replied Kiara. "Hmm! My friend became a lawyer woah! Please defend my case, If i murder someone!" I joked, my tone playful.

"Woah! Dude! If anyone messes with you, just tell me! I'll do that!" Replied Kiara, her tone reflecting mine.

Just like this, My conversation went on. Filled with laughter and chuckles.

After sometime, we reached the mansion. It's the same as before. Just some paintings are changed.

"Woah! My family are waiting for me outside" I spoke, looking at them.

"Yea, Get down!" Kiara replied.

Getting out of the car, I sprinted towards papa, who is eagerly waiting for me. I hugged him happily.

A sense of peace washed over me at the sight of my family.

"My bachee! You're finally here! How are you samaira?" Questioned papa, a bright smile spread across his face.

"I'm fine papa! How are you?" I replied breaking the hug.

"What happens to me? I'm fine and fit as always! But I'm tired of your mother's taunts! Now that, You've come! I'm safe!" Replied papa, playfully pointing at maa.

All of us erupted into chuckles at his statement.

"You guys never change! Always making fun of me" Stated maa, coming towards me with a aarthi plate.

"Move aside let me do the aarthi first" She added.

After aarthi, All of us made our way towards hall.

"Dada ji, Dadi ji! I've missed you guys!! I spoke, seeking their blessings.

"May God bless you! Even we missed you a lot bachee!" Replied dadi, caressing my cheek lovingly.

"How are you bachee?" Stated dada ji caressing my head lovingly.

"I'm fine dadaji! By the way! You're looking handsome! Woah!" I replied playfully.

All of us erupted into chuckles.

"Finally! Our house is again shining brightly with samaira's arrival!" Spoke chachi ji with a bright smile.

"Yeaa!" All of them nodded their heads.

"So guys! Tell me! Who's my bhabhi? I'm dying with excitement! Just tell me already!" I spoke, settling on the sofa comfortably.

All of them exchanged glances, before speaking.

"It's Riya!" All of them said in unison. Their eyes shining with hope.

Woah!!! It's Riya!! My guess is correct.

I gave a dramatic pause to confuse them.

All of their faces turned pale observing my reaction. That's what I want anyway.

"Samaira what happened?" Spoke rajvansh bhai, observing my reaction.

Suddenly I jumped with happiness, Excitement palpable in my face.

All of them heaved a sigh of relief.

"You- We thought you didn't liked her being your bhabhi! You almost gave us a heart attack! You naughty kid!"

Stated maa playfully grabbing my ears.

"Ohh okay! Sorry! I was just playing around! But, I'm so happy her being my bhabhi" I spoke, happiness evident in my face.

All of them chuckled at my enthusiasm.
