Chapter 14

Aryan's pov:-

"She left for New York this morning" Spoke vijay uncle, looking at his family members.

My whole world stopped for a moment.

She left?

She left for New York?

She left without saying anything?

The questions lingered in my mind, making me more restless and suffocated.

Riya spoke, "She left for new York? How is that possible? She left without saying anything! But why suddenly?"

"We have no idea about the specific reason but, maybe she'll return after her graduation" Replied rajvansh, glancing at riya.

"I hope samaira is doing well, Let's hope for her well, Don't be sad kids! Try to cheer your friend!" Stated suguna chachi ji (aunt).

"Yeah, I hope she studies well! I'm rooting for samaira" Spoke riya, with a bright smile.

All of the smile widely at riya's statement.

But one thing lingered in my mind, Does she knows how I feel, after she left?

All of the elders are engaged in conversations, while rajvansh, riya, dhruv, advik did the same.

My mind drifted back to samaira, her captivating smile, her bright eyes, her cheerful personality, her everything.

I don't know, why i'm being attracted towards her, is it because of our friendship since childhood?

Or is it because of something else Which I shouldn't be thinking about?

The questions in my mind are making me feel restless at the same time something I shouldn't feel.

It feels like a part of me is missing, but why?

How could she be so far away? I wonder, my heart aches at the thought of not being able to see her bright smile everyday.

The secret glances I used to steal, whenever she smile, whenever she used to laugh are now the glances I'm craving for.

My heart sinks as i realized that she left, leaving me with whirlwind of emotions.

But why? I can't digest the fact that she left me? Will she ever come back?

Will her love for me remain the same? Or is it really just a teenage-crush?

But, I shouldn't have done something stupid, that broke her heart.

In the depth of my heart, I still hope that she'll return. But the uncertainty gnaws me. Leaving me hopeless.

Still, I'm not going to give up my hopes, She will return and I will make sure, She will return!.

"Yo, Where are you? See, Pranav's here!!" Spoke Advik, breaking my chain of thoughts.

I looked in his direction and saw pranav's family coming inside the mansion with some fruit baskets in their hands.

"Amazing! Pranav's family here too!" Stated papa with his usual small smile.

"Hello! How are you?" Spoke pragati aunty, pranav's mother.

"We're fine!! But it has been ages, since you and raghav bhai visited us!" Spoke Samaira's mother, Mahima aunty.

"Guess what, I also informed kiara's parents to join us too! It has been a long time since we've gathered!" Added mahima aunty.

"Woah! That's amazing! Come let's sit and talk! I have many gossips to share with" Stated pragati.

While the men exchanged confused glances at the gossip talks.

"Hey veerendra & Vijay! We've already met at the party right? Did they forget about that?" Whispered raghav uncle, pranav's father.

"That's right! Anyways let's continue our conversation" Whispered back vijay uncle.

"Hey pranav, I thought you'll be resting at home! Perfect, We can see the change!" Stated Advik, Glancing at pranav with a teasing smile.

"Shut up! I'm not a little kid" Retorted pranav.

Gosh! They never change!

"By the way, Where's samaira? She isn't around" Stated pragati aunty looking around.

"Ohh yes, Where is she?" Questioned pranav.

"She left for New York this morning!"

Replied mahima aunty.

"What?" Exclaimed Pranav, pragati aunty and raghav uncle at the same time. Their eyes wide in shock.

"I mean like, Today morning? Suddenly? Why is that?" Questioned pragati aunty.

"Yeah, She left today! Don't be surprised! Even we are surprised!" Replied mahima aunty.

"Do you know the reason? Why she left suddenly?" Questioned raghav uncle.

"We are not clear about it, but still, We trust her and her decision! We hope that she'll be fine on her own, even though it's difficult!" Reassured vijay, his eyes filled with confidence for samaira.

"Woah dude! That's really surprising! Do you know it beforehand?" Whispered pranav in my ear, avoiding others to listen.

With a glare I whispered back, "I also found out about it when I got here!"

With a sigh, Pranav spoke, "Bro! Seems like destiny is playing games with you! You came to apologize for your mistake! But it's seems difficult to contact with samaira now!"

"I'm sure that she won't answer your calls or texts!" He added with a pity look.

"Don't give me that look! And I'll try to get in contact with her! I'm not going to give up that easily." I replied with confidence.

Yes, I'm not going to give up just because of some silly reason.

The hope in me makes me strong. And I'm going to make it.

"Bro, I have a question for you" Spoke pranav, his voice low.

"What is that?" I questioned, looking into his brown orbs.

"Do you love samaira?" He questioned, his eyes held seriousness.

This question makes me go blank just like last time.

Do I love samaira? Yes or no?

Last time when kiara asked me this, I couldn't answer it, And this time pranav is asking the same question, leaving me in a trance of questions for myself.

It is a yes or no? I can't even say a no for it! And why is that? Is this because I'm feeling guilty for her heartbreak?

"Bro! Answer me!" Spoke pranav, shaking my shoulder.

With a deep breath, I spoke, "I don't know!"

That's the only thing I could say right now.

"Hm! Okay, If you don't know, Why you are getting restless just because she left? Leave it then!" Pranav replied with a huff.

Maybe utterly annoyed by my answer. I can feel it.

Before I can answer, Kiara's parents came into sight.

"See, Avinash bhai and aadhya are here!" Said pragati aunty referring to kiara's parents. But kiara isn't with them.

"Hey! How are ya'll? It's been a long time, my gossip partners!" Stated aadhya aunty joining the ladies group.

"Huh! I can't understand their obsession with gossip, I don't understand what they talk without a stop!" Stated avinash uncle going towards his group.

Papa and avinash uncle shared a friendly hug followed suit by others.

"All are perfect! But where's kiara?" Questioned maa looking at aadhya aunty.

I looked at pranav, It seems like, He is waiting for someone to ask about kiara.

"Oh yes, Kiara isn't feeling well, She refused to come! So, We didn't force her!" Replied aadhya aunty casually.

"Ohh, You did the best thing leaving her to rest!" Stated mahima aunty.

"And I heard from kiara that samaira is going to New york, So where is she!?" Questioned aadhya aunty.

"She left early in the morning"Replied maa.

"What? I thought she'll be leaving in the afternoon!" Exclaimed aadhya aunty.

"Atleast you know she is leaving for New york! We didn't even know that!" Stated maa, making a face.

Which elighted chuckles from others.

"Okay! Okay! Stop it!" Stated mahima.

"Even we don't have an idea that she'll leave suddenly! But it's okay! I hope that she will be healthy and happy"

Added mahima aunty with a small smile.

"Don't worry mahima! She'll be happy wherever she is. Samaira is a good child with manners and discipline."

Reassured maa offering a warm smile.

"Let's hope for the best!" Stated aadhya aunty offering a smile.

All of them smiled at their friendship towards each other.

I hope that too. I hope samaira's happy and healthy wherever she is.

Samaira's Pov:-

"Haa yes, I'm at the airport! Don't worry girlie" I spoke on the call with kiara.

"Whatever! Be careful! Eat meals at time, Don't get sick by eating ice creams at night! Avoid doing it! And-" I Interrupt her before she could say anything.

"Yaar! I'm not a little kid! Even my parents didn't say this things! Don't worry babe!" I tried to assure her.

With a sigh, she spoke, "Okay then, That's all I could say! I'll miss you babe!" Says kiara, I'm sure she must be pouting her lips right now.

With a chuckle, I continued, "I'll miss you too babe! Don't worry about me! I'll take care of myself"

"Okay then, By the way! I'm thinking of changing my college!" Stated Kiara.

"Why is that?" I questioned.

"I can't study there after you left! So I'm thinking of changing to another college!" Replied Kiara.

With a sigh, I spoke, "As you wish! Take a wise decision babe!" I replied.

"Dear passengers attention please, The flight-

Hearing the announcement, I spoke,

"Babe, I'm gonna go! Byee i'll call you after reaching" Hearing a faint hum, I ended the call.

After all the checking section, I settled in my seat. Again the thoughts of Aryan drifted back.

A sigh left my lips, I don't know, what I'm going to do but still..... Leave it whatever.

One question lingered in my mind,

Did I really pestered him a lot that he hugged another girl infront of me?

Whatever, I'm not gonna return to india even after my graduation cause I don't want to face him right now.
