Chapter 12

After some moments, Samaira headed straight to aggrawal's mansion.

Watching samaira leave, Kiara dashed towards Aryan.

"What do you mean by hugging saanvi infront of samaira?" Exclaims pranav, his brows furrowed in disbelief.

Aryan and pranav are a little distance away from their family members, so they can't hear anything.

"Dude, I already warned you, Don't do anything stupid infront of samaira, and look what you've done" Scoffed pranav in disbelief.

"She is stubborn, I thought maybe if she sees me with someone, she'll stop pestering me. I'm not in the right frame of mind." Replied Aryan. His voice filled with regret.

"Dude! Did you leave your brain at home? How can you even think like that?" Exclaimed pranav, folding arms across his chest.

"I will apologize to her! Maybe I'll try to console her" Stated Aryan, feeling guilty for his earlier actions.

Kiara dashes towards Aryan and spoke, "What have you done Aryan bhai?" Fuming with anger, her voice firm.

"Kiara what happened?" Stated pranav, his brow furrowed in concern, he notices her anger radiating off her.

"I don't know what happened! But bhai, You totally broke her today, She always used to say that, Her love will definitely melt you and you'll like her back. She always used to talk about you, your favorite things, your hobbies, your habits." Snaps Kiara, her voice sharp.

Aryan stood still, feeling the intensity of her words.

Taking a deep breath, Kiara spoke, "Can I ask you a question?" Her voice steady.

After earning a nod from Aryan, Kiara continues, "Don't you love samaira?"

Her words lingered in the air, Creating a heavy atmosphere.

Kiara & pranav shifts their gaze towards Aryan, who remained motionless, lost in thought.

"I don't know" Replied Aryan, avoiding their gaze. His eyes held something, which can't be clarified.

"I've seen you guys since childhood, You always used to get worried, when samaira fell sick or did something rash. Your eyes shine bright, when you look into hers. I always used to think that, You feel the same way about her."Stated Kiara, a sad smile lingering on her face.

"But today, You proved me wrong. Aryan bhai, Atleast don't lie about your feelings" Saying this, kiara left leaving Aryan and pranav behind.

"What Kiara said was true! Atleast accept your feelings and don't lie to yourself" Stated pranav, tapping his shoulder. Pranav left leaving Aryan alone in his thoughts.

Aryan stood alone, lost in samaira's thoughts. Memories of samaira flooded back. Her laughter, her smile, her antics, the way her eyes sparkled when she talked with him.

"I don't what I have did! But, I think it's for the good! I'm not in right state of mind samaira." Stated Aryan, the harsh words he said earlier ringing in his ears, making him guilty for his earlier actions.

At Aggrawal's mansion;-

Samaira hurriedly dashes to her room and shut the door tight.

After closing the door, Samaira dropped into her knees remembering the earlier scene.

The harsh words of him felt like a stab in her heart, leaving her breathless.

The earlier scene & words echoed in her mind, replaying like a painful melody she couldn't escape.

Samaira pulls her knees close to her chest, seeking comfort in the tight embrace as fresh tears rolled down her cheeks.

After a few moments of silence, "I can't cry like this, It's okay! Things like this happen! That doesn't mean that I have to cry on this type of situations." Spoke samaira, as tears rolled down her cheeks, Her voice heavy with emotion.

After taking a deep breath, Samaira stood and walked towards the washroom to clean her tear-striked face.

After few moments, Samaira came out of the washroom, wiping her face with napkin.

After thinking something, Samaira headed straight to her grandparent's room.

After reaching their room, she gently knocked on the door.

Upon not getting any reply, samaira opened the door and found that her grandparent's aren't in the room.

"Sristhi aunty! Have you seen dada ji and dadi ji around? I couldn't find them in the room" Questioned samaira.

"Ohh, Dadi ji went to temple and maybe dada ji is in study room, You can find him there." Replied the servent, named shristhi. Who is going towards the garden.

"Oh thanks aunty, please continue your work." Saying this, samaira headed straight to study room, which is in first floor.

The door of study room is wide open, so, samaira knocked on the door gently to grab her grandfather's attention.

"Samaira, you are here? The ceremony ended?" Questioned yashodhar getting up from the chair.

Yashodhar and kavitha didn't attend the ceremony cause, yashodhar isn't feeling well, so they both stayed back.

"No dada ji, I wasn't feeling well, so I came back!" Stated samaira, her voice steady.

"What happened bachee? Why are your eyes red? Perhaps do you have fever?" Stated yashodhar, checking the temperature on her forehead. Concern evident in his face.

"Uh- No dadaji, I'm fine, There's nothing to worry about!" Replied samaira, observing his concern.

"Then, Do you need something bachee?" Questioned yashodhar, Getting concerned.

"Uhm- I want to say something!"  Announced samaira, looking into his eyes.

"Say it! Do you want anything?" Questioned yashodhar, Observing her discomfort.

"First let's sit, You shouldn't stand" Saying this samaira led him to the chair, earlier where yashodhar sat.

After settling in chair, Taking a deep breath, samaira spoke,

"I want to go New york and I want to study there dadaji" Confessed samaira, her voice steady.

The sudden confession made him feel shocked and surprised.

"What happened bachee? Why do you need to go New York? You didn't liked the college? Should I change you to another college?" Questioned yashodhar, surprised by Samaira's sudden confession.

"No it's not like that, But I want to go New York to study, That's it, please dadaji convince mom and dad about this! I need your help in this matter!" Pleaded samaira, her eyes sparkled with hope.

"I want to leave tomorrow itself, please support me in this" Stated samaira with a hope.

Yashodhar stood up from his seat and went towards the window.

After thinking for a while, yashodhar spoke, "Okay samaira, I will talk with your dad about this matter! Don't worry and go rest for a while! You'll feel better!" Replied yashodhar, caressing her cheek.

"Thanks dadaji, Love you! You're the best" Stated samaira, side hugging him, her eyes sparkled with warmth.

"Okay bachee! Go and rest, we'll call you for dinner!" Replied yashodhar, watching his granddaughter with affection.

"Byee dadaji, I'm going to rest!" Saying this samaira headed straight to her room.

After one hour, The aggarwal's reached the mansion.

"Uhh- Finally my children are graduated!" Exclaimed Vijay, with a smile. Settling in the sofa.

"Btw, Samaira came home alone! Where is she?" Questioned rajvansh, looking around.

"You guys arrived, How is the ceremony?" Questioned yashodhar, coming towards them.

"It's good papa ji, By the way, Where is  samaira?" Replied mahima, not spotting samaira around.

"Well....Samaira is resting in her room! The dinner's ready! Come and have something to eat." Saying this, yashodhar went towards the dining table.

"Okay then, I call samaira for dinner!" Saying this advik went towards samaira room.

After reaching samaira's room, Advik gently knocked on the door.

After getting permission, He entered the room and found samaira wrapped in several blankets.

Confusion washed over him, He went towards samaira saying, "Samaira, Wake up! It's time for dinner!" While shaking her shoulders.

"Umm- Okay i'm coming in a few moments" Spoke samaira in a sleepy voice.

"Okay! But how are you feeling? You came home suddenly! So we all are worried for you!" Stated advik, caressing her head lovingly.

"I'm fine bhai, I'm feeling better now" Replied samaira, removing the blanket from her face.

"Okay, we'll be waiting for you downstairs" Saying this, Advik exited the room.

With a sigh, Samaira went towards the washroom and washed her.

After a few moments, Samaira reached the dining table.

"Samaira, How are you feeling? Are you better now?" Questioned vijay, taking a seat.

"I'm better now papa" Replied samaira, taking a seat beside nalini.

"Seems like you had a headache, I'll bring you medicines after dinner". Stated nalini, checking her  temperature with the palm of her hand.

"Okay chachi" Replied samaira in a low voice.

After few moments, Everyone started eating in silence.

Breaking the silence, Samaira announced, "Everyone listen, I have something important to announce" Announced samaira keeping the spoon down.

The clatter of forks and murmur of conservation quieted as she spoke, her voice cutting through the cozy din of the family dinner. Eyes turned towards her, curiosity pipped and plates momentarily forgotten.

A mix of anticipation and concern etched in their expressions.

Taking a deep breath, Samaira spoke,

"I'm leaving for New York tomorrow!"

The weight of her words hung in the air, A mix of surprise and confusion washed over their faces.

All of them exchanged glances.

"New York? Tomorrow? What happened samaira? You haven't said anything about this before!?" Stated mahima, pure confusion evident in her face.

"Yes maa, I have already discussed it with dadaji" Replied samaira, glancing at yashodhar.

All of their gazes shifted towards yashodhar, who is observing everything calmly.

"Papa, You agreed for this? I mean, This is sudden and she haven't speak a word with us about it" Stated vijay, looking at yashodhar.

"Yes, Samaira discussed it with me, after coming back from the ceremony!" Replied yashodhar calmly looking at vijay.

"But, lot of arrangements needs to be done right?" Questioned mahima, looking at yashodhar.

"Don't worry bahu(daughter in law) I have done all the arrangements required. So there's nothing to worry about." Replied yashodhar, assuring mahima.

"Everyone eat, or else the food's gonna get cold." Stated yashodhar.

All of them started eating. While Advik and rajvansh exchanged glances.

After dinner, Everyone retreated to their rooms.

While, Advik and rajvansh headed towards samaira's room.

After getting permission to enter, Advik and rajvansh entered the room and saw samaira packing her luggage.

"Samaira! What's with the sudden journey to New York? What's happening? I can't understand anything." Stated Advik, settling in the sofa, his voice filled with frustration.

"Nothing bhai, It's just that I want to leave early as soon as possible" Replied samaira, sitting on the bed.

"And why is that? We know samaira, You won't do anything unless there's a reason! Why do you want to leave for New York suddenly?" Questioned rajvansh, his brows furrowed in concern and confusion.

With a sigh, samaira spoke "Bhai, There isn't a specific reason for it, I'm just going there to study, I hope you'll respect my decision." Replied samaira in a low voice.

"Maybe, I'll miss momma's taunts and your love and care" Stated samaira, a sad smile lingering on her face.

"Samaira, Don't go if you're not okay with it!" Spoke advik, observing her eyes glistening.

"It's not like that bhai, It's just that i'll miss you guys" Spoke samaira, her voice faltered at the end.

Tears started to roll down her cheeks, which she didn't want to fall.

Rajvansh and advik rushed towards samaira and gently rubbed her back.

"I'm sorry! I didn't tell you beforehand a-about this!" Stated samaira, her voice heavy with emotions.

Rajvansh and Advik eyes glistened lightly after seeing samaira in this state.

"Sam, There's nothing to say sorry about, Don't be sorry bachee, It's okay calm down." Spoke rajvansh, gently rubbing her back.

"Yes sam, Don't be sorry! We will always respect your decision! Whatever you do, we will be always rooting for you" Spoke advik with a smile, his voice steady.

"Okay now, Don't be sad! And tell us when you're leaving! So that i can get up early to send you off" Spoke advik, trying to cheer her mood.

"Ohh yes! I forgot to tell you about this, Tomorrow morning at 9:00 am!"

Replied samaira with a small smile.

"Okay so now, This will be last time, We'll be together right? Spoke rajvansh, glancing at samaira & advik.

"Don't worry, I'll return after my graduation!" Stated samaira, with a small smile.

Rajvansh & advik smiled at her.

"Or maybe not?" Thought samaira, with a sad smile.
