Chapter-28

Janvi's pov:-

I'm staring at the hot soup bowl which was kept in front of me...I looked away as I was feeling nauseous suddenly....I feel a heated gaze on me which has been on me for a long time....I ignored his gaze and started stirring the soup....

Now, we are sitting in a big classy restaurant... Maybe we are in some private corner as there was no one else than us....I looked at the soup again.... It looked plain and some unknown herbs were floating on it....

I know I'm not feeling well that doesn't mean I'm a dying patient who has to have this kind of food....

"Do you have any intention of having the soup on your own or should I?"

His sudden cold voice grabbed my attention and I looked at him....His face was expressionless....

"Speak"

I'm sure he is super irritated with me now....Because of me he had to waste 3 hours...

"I'm not feeling like eating or drinking anything"

I answered him looking at my lap as I don't want to get intimidated by his look....

"Then starve yourself to the death... After that you will feel better"

Did he just make fun of my situation?.... Isn't he the reason behind this situation?...Who asked him to make me caged in his cabin?...Now he is blaming me....wow... great....I spoke in my mind while gritting my teeth...

"I'm blaming you because you are responsible for all this chaos"

Immediately I looked at him and met with his sharp pair of eyes as he read my mind....Disbelief was written all over my face....

"I don't have all day and night to be your baby sitter.... Finish the soup within 5 minutes....Then take these medicines."

Arjun kept a brown packet which was full of various medicines....I admit that the doctor was nice but who asked her to prescribe these many machines for me...

I was just feeling weak and dizzy because of skipping meals for a long time which caused acidity also....It would be okay if I had some dal chawal and then took a long rest....

"4 minutes left"

He announced looking at his wrist watch....I started to gulp down the soup forcefully....I was feeling like throwing up....I looked at him pleadingly....I opened my mouth to request him but he spoke before....

"Fine.... Take the medicines and go to the car"

He gave me a sharp glance and left me there....Where is he going now?....Huss... That's none of my business....I gulped down the medicines one by one with water....Then I took the medicine packet and then left from there....

When I was walking out I felt someone's sharp gaze on me but I was too tired to bother....But I can feel it was not a familiar one...

Musa was standing outside of the restaurant....He approached me when he noticed my presence....Then he led me to the car....

I was sitting in the car and wondering what time it was...I know it was quite late but I couldn't guess the time....Manshi Di must be worried about me...

The door of the other side of the car opened and Arjun settled beside me....So, finally Sir has decided to show up....I looked out of the car window....

I felt some weight on my lap Which grabbed my attention instantly.... It's a bottle....I mean a bottle of some kind of juice?....I looked at him questioningly....

"It's Cherry Juice...It will help you to get better sleep..."

He spoke without looking at me...I nodded my head in acknowledgement...Then again my gaze shifted outside of the car window.... Does he care for me?....I thought in my mind and the hold of the bottle was tightened by me....

"I didn't give you the juice bottle just to hold... Finish it before we reach your place..."

He always kept giving orders....I looked at the bottle again but didn't feel like drinking it....

"What's wrong?.... Aren't you feeling okay?"

Arjun asked turning to me...He faced his body towards me and was observing me keenly...I was about to nod my head again....

"Words, sweetheart..."

My heart did a back flip... Whenever he calls me with his nicknames I feel strange.... Something happened to my heart and stomach....

Arjun raised one of his eyebrows....He was waiting for my answer...

"I'm feeling better than before....But...."

He took the juice bottle from my hand....In this process his hand brushed mine... My heart skipped some beats... What's wrong with my heart?

"How is your neck?..."

I didn't get him....He was trying to see something on my neck....He removed hair from my neck as I did a one sided loose ponytail... His fingers touched the skin of my neck...I shifted a little bit on my seat as I felt goosebumps....The hair on the back of my neck rose up...

He moved my dupatta a little bit and made sure  not to expose too much skin...

He rubbed his thumb on the bite mark which made my heartbeat quicken...I looked at him slowly....His jaw was tightened and his eyes were unreadable...

Realization hit me suddenly...Did he misunderstand those insects bite marks as hickey?

"The.... these are bi...bite marks of insects not hickeys..."

Why do I have to stammer every time infront of him...His gaze shifted to me....He looked into my eyes and his stupid infamous smirk form on his lips...

Author's pov:-

"I didn't say anything...I was just looking at the scratching marks you have made on your neck..."

Janvi immediately covered her neck with her dupatta and set her ponytail like before...

"Do you even know what a hickey looks like in real life?..."

Amusement was playing in his eyes...Janvi gulped down and looked at the driver and then Musa who was sitting in the passenger seat....

"Are they listening?...No...no... they won't..."

Janvi thought in her mind....

"N..no....I have seen them in movies..."

Janvi replied in a low voice....She doesn't want to get heard by Musa and the driver....

"I didn't know my wife was into these kinds of things..."

Her eyes widen.... Arjun chucked seeing his wife's reaction...

"I have embarrassed myself again.." Janvi thought in her mind...

"Yo....you are misunderstanding...."

Janvi tried to justify herself....But she got stopped by Arjun...

"It's okay...Soon you will know what a real hickey looks like..."

Arjun speaks in a low voice just to hear Janvi...She was about to ask "How"...Then she realised what he meant...Her ears turned red...

"He is so shameless.."Janvi talked into her mind....

"But how do you know, what it looks like in real?...

Janvi asked in a low voice to make sure it was only hearable to Arjun...

"What did you mean by IT?... Hickey?..."

Arjun smirked looking at Janvi who was irritated by his shameless behaviour...

"Can't he speak in a low voice?"...Janvi whispered...

"You don't need to know how I know..."

Such a bipolar!....Janvi moved her back to him and looked outside of the window...

"Drink it now..."

Janvi turned a bit to Arjun....He opened the cap of the juice bottle and asked Janvi to have it... Without wasting much time Janvi took the bottle and gulped down the juice at once....

She didn't know that she was that thirsty....After drinking she was feeling relieved...

After almost twenty minutes they reached....As soon as the car stopped Janvi opened the car door and was about to run from him but got stopped by a pull....

She turned around and only found out Arjun was holding her bag's strap....She tried to pull it from his grip but he pulled the strap which made her pull also....

"Today I'm letting you go without any punishment...But it won't always happen...Be careful next time..."

Arjun let go of her bag strap....when she realised that Arjun was no longer holding her bag strap she ran for an escape....All the way she was feeling his heated gaze on her....She knows he won't leave until she gets inside....

Janvi's pov:-

"Finally, you are home...I was worried about you..."

Manshi Di attacked me with her questions...She immediately came to me to inspect if I was okay or not....

"I'm fine Di....I forgot my phone in my room... That's why I couldn't inform you that I will be late...."

Di gave me a glass of water....I took it from her and drank a little bit as I wasn't that thirsty....

"Where were you all this time?..."

Di won't leave me until she gets all the answers...I took a deep breath...

"I was with Arjun..."

Di got tensed....

"Why?....Did he hurt you?..."

My eyes got wide...What made Di think that He will hurt me...He never did...He is rude sometimes but he never hurts me...

"No Di...He didn't....How can someone hurt a cutie pie like me?..."

I made a pout which made Di smile....She slapped my head playfully....

"Go and freshen up...Then have dinner.... It's late..."

"I have my dinner....You go to sleep....And sorry for making you worried..."

I felt guilty as I know how much she cares for me....

"You too go to sleep then... Good night..."

Di patted my cheek lightly and went to her room...I also went to my room and got freshened up....

I opened my phone and there were numerous calls from Arjun, Di and Priya...

I have a lot of things to explain to Priya....I don't know if I will be alive still then... I'm feeling sleepy....I settled in my bed and sleep consumed myself instantly....

Author's pov:-

Sorry my dear readers....I took much more time to update than I thought I would be... I'm disturbed with some of my personal issues and academics also...So, I couldn't concentrate on writing....
