6: first day

Ramir POV

"We in the ghetto ra ta ta ta." Rayna yelled walking into the school. "Y'all remember that video?"

"Yeah, that dude had me walking round saying that for months." Ari replied and they broke of into a conversation.

Ray was listening to music and it was obvious he wasn't paying attention to us.

"She bad as hell." I mumbled to Roman and he shook his head before responding.

"Here you go, ain't even been in the building two minutes."

"Let's go get our schedules." Rayna said tapping Ray to get his attention, causing him to take out one of his airpods.

"What?"

"Oop... why you gotta be so hostile, ion like det." she straight faced him.

"Cause its 7:00 and you want be talking and shit"

"Anyways let's go get our schedules." She said walking off as we all followed her.

"How you know where the office at?" I asked her.

"I don't." She shrugged and I looked at her like she was dumb.

"Then why you walking like you know where we going."

"Cause I was winging it."

"Umm.. chile anyways so. Follow me." Ari said turning and going in the opposite direction as we followed.

"Look at your dumbass, wasn't even going in the right direction." Ray told Rayna and she rolled her eyes.

"I mean y'all was dumb enough to follow me... y'all know it's my first time here just like y'all."

"Cause you was walking all confident like you knew the way."

"Ari why you let us follow her in the wrong direction?"

"ion know, it ain't really click... thought she was taking the long way on purpose or sum. Anyways we're here." she responded walking into the office.

"You guys must be the new students, hey Arianna." the lady behind the desk said.

"Hey. We need our schedules."

"Alrighty. Who is who?" She asked us after giving Rayna and Ari they're schedules.

"Ramir. Ray. Ramon." Rayna said pointing at each of us and the secretary gave us our schedules.

"Your 3rd block is going to be extremely big, because we only have one teacher who teaches advanced math."

As soon as we left the office we crowded in a circle and started seeing what classes we have together.

"We all have 4th together then lunch together. Ray & Ari have 1st together. Rayna, Me, & Ramon alone for 1st block. Me, Ray, & Ramon got 2nd together. Rayna & Ari have 2nd together. For 3rd we all together. For 4th we got lunch, then we all get released early. So basically we could either leave after lunch or skip lunch."

"So glad we got most of our credits cause ain't nobody tryna stay here for 6 periods." Rayna said happily.

My school don't have 6 periods, so if that ain't how y'all schools work ole well pretend. I want them getting off from school early💀.

After assembly I started looking for my first block, by the time I found it I was almost 5 minutes late. When I walked in everybody looked at me except one girl in the corner.

"You must be Ramir. May I ask why your late?" The teacher asked.

"This a big ass school, I was lost."

"Language!!"

"My bad, I'm sorry that just slipped out."

"Whatever, find an empty seat." I looked around the classroom for a seat. I saw 3 open. One was next to the girl Rayna beat up, nope..

One was next to some dude digging in his nose, HELL NO.

The last was next to the girl in the corner, finna go sit by her she fine. I ignored ole girl Rayna beat up telling me to sit by her and went sit by the girl.

"What's yo name?" I asked once I sat down.

"Myla." she answered not looking up from her papers and jotting down notes as the teacher spoke.

I spent the whole class period getting shawty to talk, you could tell from a mile away she shy.

Rayna POV

After morning assembly I started looking around for my first block until I found it. I looked around to see who was in there. I ain't see nobody I know so I sat down in the back in put in my airpods, I just had to be the alone for first. I hate it here.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked up. "Can I sit right here." Teezy said sitting down.

"Why ask if you was gone sit right there anyway."

"Ion know, I just wanted to make my presence known." he said I smiled and shook my head.

"Aww shit it's Benjamin." I joked wiping a fake tear and Ben sucked his teeth before responding.

"Here she go again. Always on that bullshit."

"I'm just fuckin witchaa, your reactions be funny." I laughed and turned my attention to Kade who was looking all in my face. "Umm hey."

"Hey."

"Lemme see y'all schedules" I said holding my hand out and they gave them to me. "Y'all leave early too, besides Benjamin, must suck to stay at school all day." (😬)

After that I spent the rest of the class period talking to them and doing my work. I'm not tryna get too distracted, my mama don't play bout grades and I refuse to repeat senior year.

Ray POV

I was following Ari to the classroom making small talk while listening to music in one ear. I hate small talk, it's boring and a waste of time but I decided not to say nun.

"This is it." she smiled and opened the classroom door. Once she opened the door she her smile faded and she visibly tensed up. I looked pass her into the classroom and saw two of them niggas from the mall. Ohh.

"Come on don't worry bout them." I said grabbing her hand gently pulling her into the classroom. I sat next to her in the back of the class and she seemed to relax some. I let go of her and and put my phone up waiting for the teacher to start.

"Biggies here!" one of the dudes yelled looking a Ari and his homeboys laughed.

"Didn't her and my sister just beat yo ass?" I asked him causing his smile to fade.

"Your sister ain't beat shit."

"You sure? Cause I got the video. We could ask these people what they think."

"Chill out."

"Turn y'all asses around before we have a repeat of the mall." They turned around and I went back to minding my business.

"Thank you."

"It's coo. They some bitch niggas."

"Alright class so today we'll be going over the rules and expectations then we'll get into our first lesson."

We didn't talk the rest, we just did our work until it was time for 2nd.

Ramon POV / 3rd block:

"What you following me or sum?" The girl I sit by in first block asked me.

"Hell nahh, Ian following you. I'm going to my third block."

"Where you going?"

"Math."

"Me too.... lemme see." she said snatching my schedule.

"Help yourself I guess."

"Ohh, we going to the same place. Had to make sure you wasn't no creep or nun."

"You fye or whatever, but I'm not finna creep on nobody."

"All I got from that sentence is that I'm fye. Anyways, you know where this class at?"

"Nope, this my first day. Holdup." I said FaceTiming Rayna.

"Aye you found third block? We looking for it."

"Who is we cause I'm with Ray and everybody else. Lemme see. And no, we still looking for it, where you at."

"I'm not bouta just stick people faces in the camera... wait holdup." I turned to the girl. "What's your name?" I asked her.

"China."

"I wan see her . She sound like she cute."

"Rayna, you sound weird as fuck right now" I said hanging up the phone and she called back.

"Bitch don't hang up on me."

"Don't call me no -" I was cut off by her hanging up one me.

"Get on my damn nerves." I mumbled and China chuckled.

"Sister? Cousin?"

"Sister.... got siblings?" I asked China.

"Nope, I'm a only child."

"Must be nice. I got four fucking siblings and we quads. It's like being born with 3 mfs to annoy you, I wan be a only child for a few weeks."

She laughed at me but I was deadass. "Trust me, being a only child is lonely."

"I guess the only good thing is anytime you bored you could just go bother somebody."

"Come on I found the class, Ray & them already there." Rayna interrupted. "Wait, you in our second block." Rayna said pointing at China.

They started talking as we walked into the classroom and just like the secretary said, that bitch was packed. Everybody and they mama in this hoe. Teezy, Ben, and one of them other niggas from the court. All four of my siblings & Ari. Ramir was talking to some girl already. One of them niggas from the mall. Shit way too crowded.

"Ion like this shit, I wan transfer." Ray said looking around the classroom and I sat down at the table.

"Least we got our own table." Rayna said looking around the table. "What's your name?" She asked the girl sitting by Ramir.

"Myla." she mumbled. She look awkward and uncomfortable.

Everybody started talking, except Ray who was listening to music and Myla who was reading a book.

"She look like a book worm." I mumbled to Rayna and she slapped my arm.

"You in her business? Don't do that." She mumbled back then tried making conversation with her.

Eventually, everyone at the table started warming up to each other more and it was less uncomfortable.

All the relevant people in their 3rd block sit at the same table, which includes: Rayna, Ramir, Ramon, Ray, Ari, Myla, China, Teezy, Ben.

The only relevant person not in their 3rd block is Kade.

Yes there's more people in the class who will be mentioned occasionally like the bully, but those the main people.
