30: Last Chapter🥺

"Here." Rayna said moving Teezy's hand helping him fix his tie. They were on their way to their 10 year reunion. They didn't care to see the entire school, just their friend group. The only people they still kept tabs on were Rayna's brothers and Ari who they saw frequently.

They dropped the twins off at with Ryan and Keyonna and made their way to the reunion.

They were late but they got there in time enough. Rayna saw everybody and her eyes lit up, she quickly wobbled her way over to the table.

"Be careful, you like shaking kids up." Teezy complained earning a few laughs as he pulled out her chair.

"I see y'all made it work." China smiled pointing at Rayna's pregnant belly and the ring on her finger.

"Yup, how'd life turn out for you guys?" She asked.

China who nobody had seen in years answered first. "I made it... I still work at the same company but I have shares now. Lex and Rose are huge business women and they have stuff going on worldwide. Most of the fashion designing is left up to me." She glowed as she talked about it, a blind man could see she loves her job.

Ben was the next to speak. "Life really kicked me in my ass for a while. My folks got mad I didn't choose college and put me out. I was working 2 plant jobs, living out of a hotel. But then I met my current wife, we were both getting a reality check to how hard life could be. Kind of like the light to eachothers darkness, we saved up and got our first apartment together. I eventually became a manager at one of the plants so I didn't need the other job. Life started looking up. Now everything's great, I still work in management getting paid way more. We recently moved into our first house, and we've got 3 beautiful kids."

"Y'all probably already know how things turned out for me. I went to college for a while but I got drafted, and made it to NBA. Ion even know how, that shit crazy. Anyways, me and Myla broke up in college. We wanted different things and distance made it even harder. Life kind of got in the way." Ramir said.

"I went to culinary school and I own a restaurant, not really much else to say." Ramon said explaining where his restaurant is.

"I've been there! I didn't know you own it." Myla smiled before continuing. "I ended up dropping out of college not too long after me and Ramir broke up. I realized it just wasnt what I wanted, I ended up becoming a licensed esthetician. I bounced around did a few different things. I learned to work with lasers and tried the medical side of my career, but I ended up liking spas better. These days I own my own spa."

"Well I majored and marketing and started working in advertisement. Me and Ray ran into eachother a few years ago and reconnected. We're engaged now." Ari said.

"I ended up finishing medical school, but instead of going into peds I ended up liking trauma more and as you know, I'm engaged to Ari." Ray said.

Rayna smiled knowing everyone was happy with their lives.

"What about y'all?" Myla asked Rayna and Teezy.

"Well my few months of college were online because of corona, so I got to be at home during my pregnancy. Me and Teezy immediately started preparing because we had mouths to feed. He worked a lot during the pregnancy, and we used that along with the YouTube money and stuff to afford the babies. We set everything up, and I had the babies. It was hard at first, balancing school and babies but we made it work. Taking turns waking up in the middle of the night and stuff, but I eventually became a radiation therapist."

"Like she said we just really had to balance it all, it was a tough transition but we made it work. I became a barber, I worked in a shop and stacked up my money to open a shop. I have a barber shop now, we got married a few years ago. These are our 4th kids, we done. The first time, we had twin boys but these two are girls."

"Aweee...Can I see a picture of your boys?" China asked and Rayna happily whipped out her phone.

"You shouldn't have done that, she'll show y'all a million pictures." Ramir joked and Teezy laughed knowing it was true.

"What you laughing at ? I'll make you sleep on the couch." Rayna said and he sucked his teeth.

She started showing pictures and they huddled around trying to look. She even showed pictures of the unborn children.

Ben showed his babies too, and they were just adorable.

Ramir and Myla found themselves reconnecting after the reunion.

They reminisced about their moments in high school and decided to give it a try again. They weren't sure where they'd end up but it didn't hurt to try. They felt as though they didn't try hard enough the first time, they sorta just gave up and went live their lives. In the end they hoped it'd make their relationship stronger, because they found their way back and they had experienced life more.

You can draw your own conclusions for Myla and Ramir but in my head it worked out. They're more mature now and they figured out what it's like without eachother.
