It's Called Life
Author POV | 1st Block:
Kade looked over at Rayna's phone curiously as she slept. He really likes her but her friendship with Teezy makes him feel insecure. He wants to be able to say he trusts her, but something was holding him back.
"Fuck it." he mumbled grabbing her phone and texting Teezy.
Kade sighed in frustration that he didn't find out anything and deleted the messages. After that he closed her phone and put it back where it was.
Teezy shook his head and closed his phone, then got dressed to go to school. He was getting annoyed by people assuming him and Rayna had something going on. He was talking to a girl he genuinely liked, so the rumors were affecting that. Him and Rayna were simply bestfriends, nothing more nothing less. In his opinion they vibe well but they were both only interested in a friendship.
Rayna eventually woke up clueless to what happened. She talked to Kade the entire class period. Teezy walked in and started going to his new seat, since Kade took his old one.
"Well damn, hey Teezy. What's wrong witchuu?" Rayna said wondering why he walked in so aggravated.
"Nun, just don't feel like being bothered with school" he lied, then gave her a side hug and sat down so she'd let it go. As expected, she let it go.
"How y'all know eachother ?" She asked Teezy, Kade, & Ben.
"Me and Ben met last year inna class. I met Teezy this summer right before you." Kade responded.
"I met Ben like 2 years ago when I moved down here from Chicago, he asked me to come to the court one day and I met Kade n them." Teezy said.
kinda unrelated irrelevant information but ... y'all Chicago people be lit on wattpad , y'all seem fun asf I wan visitð.
"I thought y'all was one of them groups of niggas who been close friends since forever." she said and Teezy shook his head.
"Nahh, I'm only close to Ben but I'm friends with D-boy" Teezy said. In his opinion calling Kade and the rest of them his friends was a reach, they were just cordial since they played basketball together. Nothing more, nothing less.
3rd Block
"May I please go to the restroom?" Myla asked the teacher after walking up to her.
"Yeah take the hall pass." She said earning a nod from Myla.
I finished using the bathroom and was buckling my belt when the light turned off. what the hell. what if it got a intruder.
I quietly grabbed some toilet paper making sure not to make any noise, then used it to cover my hand and put the toilet seat down. I stood on top the toilet silently shaking. I didn't turn on my phone because I didn't want to risk the light being seen.
"MYLA I KNOW YOU IN HERE BITCH." The voice yelled and I furrowed my eyebrows. The hell?
"RAMIR IS MY BOYFRIEND YOU SLUT, STAY AWAY FROM HIM OR ITS ON SIGHT." A different voice yelled and I just rolled my eyes.
I know they not pressing me in a bathroom, trying to jump me over a boy. I'm not talking to him ever again, I've been fine on my own for years. No drama, no fights, no arguments. I just keep my head down and do my work, and that works for me.
"girl no, he's my boyfriend." The first girl argued with the second.
"he's mine."
They started bickering and I just sat in the bathroom irritated. All of a sudden the door swung open and the lights went on.
"What you bitches doing in here? MYLAA." I heard Rayna say and I left out the stall.
I saw that girl Mystic and some other girl and shook my head. I ignored them and washed my hands, about to walk out.
"Uh uh Myla ... what they did? They seem like sneaky bitches."
"Nun, let's just leave." They ain't touch me so I don't care.
"Nahh, cause if they did sum we could catch our ones right now." she said taking out her earrings and myla laughed. "Campus security can't save you bitches now, and I still want my ones with you from touching my brother ian forget bitch."
"Come on let's go." I grabbed the bottom of her arm.
After a few minutes I got her to leave the bathroom.
"Fr tho Myla.. they did sum? Cause they looked like they was on some sneaky shit."
"Nope, the lights turned off and I stood on top the toilet seat. They started yelling and I was ignoring them. Then they started arguing with eachother and you came."
"So they was tryna be billy bad ass basically?"
"Yup."
"I hope yeen let them scare you. They ain't bout shit."
"They ain't scare me, ima just fall back from Ramir ion want no drama."
"I might be a lil biased cause I'm Ramir's sister but honestly whatever they told you probably false. Ramir been tryna get them to leave him alone since summer. I even fought Magic, Mystic, or whatever that girl name is over the summer."
"Ion know, he's fun but I don't really like getting involved with that type of stuff."
"I get it. Ian gone say nun else bout it." Rayna said biting her tongue. She wanted to argue Ramir's case but she didn't want to be a bad friend to Myla. If it was anybody else she would've left it alone there with no hesitation, but it wasn't someone else it was her brother. That was the problem when she was actually friends with who her brothers were dealing with.
"Say it." Myla mumbled knowing Rayna was holding her tongue.
"I honestly don't think you should let them scare you off, Ramir's a good person and he's not what most people expect once you get to know him. To be completely honest, he probably had sex with them and they got attached."
"So he plays people?" Myla frowned and Rayna shook her head no.
"Ramir's a lot of things but a liar isn't one. A player fills your head up with lies, gets what they want then dip. I can guarantee he told them what it was and never once lied."
"So he's a honest player?"
"Umm.. I wouldn't necessarily call him a player at all. He's just a person who got fucked over, trying to protect himself. I won't tell his business but... there's more beneath the jokes, the hard part is getting him to show it to you." she said and Myla nodded.
Ramir's first love had gotten pregnant by someone else then tried to pin the baby on him. Since then he stopped taking girls seriously to protect himself. He'd rather not get attached then to mend another broken heart. Though it didn't seem like it because he was always joking there was way more to him. Trust is a big thing for him, he trusted her and she betrayed that. After that he made it harder for people to gain his trust so he wouldn't put faith in those who didn't deserve it.
She felt like all her brothers were a little rough on the outsides, but they were sweethearts. People saying certain things about them pissed her off.
She hated people calling Ramir emotionless or selfish because it's not true. He has emotions and with time he expressed them and he couldn't be further from selfish. He's one of those people who'd hide his own pain to make you feel better. He'd literally offer people his things and say he didn't need it knowing he did. She'd seem him give the last of his money to homeless people.
She hated people calling Ray mean because he was always one of the first ones to show up for those he cares about. He's always a phone call away and he talks he's just not to everybody. He has the best playlist and he's actually funny. Honesty doesn't make you mean, it makes you genuine.
She hated people calling Ramon wishy-washy because how he acts depends on you. Don't be negative and expect him to stay around you. People always gave him a hard time about needing space, but not everyone likes being in peoples faces 24/7. Guarantee if you need him, he's there. He'd go to war about those he loves. Sometimes people just need time alone, people should learn to respect that.
"I'll let it go, I just need space to think about it first. Can you switch seats with me for the day?" She asked and Rayna nodded.
They got back to the classroom and sat down. Myla sat in Rayna's usual seat and Rayna sat next to Ramir. Ramir furrowed his eyebrows confused but he didn't say anything.
After class Ramir tried talking to Myla but she brushed him off so he let it go. He just assumed she didn't want to be bothered with him anymore.
Bad luck every time, shoulda knew better. It's ight tho he thought to himself.
