Chapter 355
The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage
Robert frowned, caught off guard that Frank had pushed Flying Sword Sect that far.
Even so, he braced himself and said, âMr. Yaffe, would you mind doing me a favor and let Mr.
Lawrence live?â
Kuno wheeled on him with a cool glare. âLet him live? No, governor, Iâm doing you a favor by talking to you right now. And you want him to live? No chance.â
Robert chuckled. âI get it, I get it⦠However, Mr. Lawrence isnât as unimportant as most would thinkâ
youâre going to pay if you really do kill him. That includes the Turnbulls, Flora Hall, my family, Skyblade Dojo, Gerald Simmons⦠there are plenty of people who owe Mr. Lawrence. Iâm afraid they would have a few things to say if you do kill him.â
Kuno frowned. âAre you threatening me?â
âNo, you misunderstandâ¦â Robert quickly threw up his hands. âIâm just offering a simple suggestionâ
letâs settle this the oldâfashioned way with a duel. Itâs the fairest manner of judgment⦠What do you think?â
Kuno studied Robert for a moment, and then glanced at his apprentices.
He pondered to himself, aware that Robert would protect Frank even if it kills him if he refused the duel.
âIn that case, I shall entertain your request,â he said. âBut on one condition.â
Robertâs eyes lit up. âDo tell, Mr. Yaffe.â
In Robertâs mind, Frank had the most chance of winning a oneâonâone duel. Otherwise, he would never win if the Flying Sword Sect apprentices attacked him all at once.
you have âThis will be a duel to the death,â Kuno said and turned to glare coldly at Frank. âDo you the balls, kiddo?â
In his mind, he was more than a match for Frank, even if he had to close his eyes. If anything, killing the bastard on the ring worked for him too!
Frank laughed coolly in turn. âHmm. Why not? Although the chief of Flying Sword Sect would be humiliated soon enough.â
âQuit running your mouth, boy,â Kuno snapped viciously. âIâll show you the humility of defeat today!â
Turning toward Robert again, he added, âMr. Quill, youâre the one who suggested the duel- be our witness. If anyone dares/flee, youâll execute them on the spot.â
âOh⦠Of course,â Robert replied, sweating over his browâKuno was dead serious!
Kuno then waved, and his apprentices backed away far enough to clear a ring.
As Frank handed Jan to Vicky, she asked worriedly, âAre you sure about this, Frank?â
Frank chuckled in contempt. âDonât worry. Iâll show him what âthereâs always a bigger fishâ means soon enough.â/
âTalk all you want.â Jan snorted in contempt. âYou wonât even know what hit you.
His father was a savant in martial arts peerless in Rivertonâa brat like Frank would never win!
Frank did not argue.
After all, nothing would persuade Jan more than when he watched Frank defeat his father.
As Frank strode into the center of the ring, Kuno drew his meterâlong sword.
Its edge was razor sharp, and the hilt was encrusted with a ruby, symbolizing the authority of the Flying Sword Sect chief.
âDraw your weapon, brat,â Kuno then growled Frank shook his head. âWhy? Itâs just you.â
The utter disrespect!
The Flying Sword Sect apprentices certainly thought Frank was full of himself and cheered Kuno on with righteous indignation.
âGo, chief! Kill him!â
âShow him the might of Flying Sword Sect!â
Kuno did not waste his breath either and leapt toward Frank, his sword gliding smoothly in his grasp.
âDie!â
Knowing that Frank had more influence than he expected, he must kill Frank before anyone else arrived, or this would only get out of hand!
