Chapter 179
The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage
Jimmy quickly nodded. âOf course. See you, Mr. Lawrence.â
He watched as Frank headed off into the distance before wheeling on Gina and Peter. âWho are you?
Iâve never seen you around before.â
âOh, weâ¦â Gina stammered frantically.
Chris promptly went up and said, âTheyâre my relatives. I invited them.â
âYes, yes, yes,â Peter quickly nodded. âWeâre Mr. Steinerâs relatives.â
Jimmy said nothing to that but instead leveled Chris a cool glare. âYouâd better keep an eye on them.â
âOâOf course,â Chris said awkwardly.
He would never dare throw a fit against Skywater Bayâs security, because he did not own any mansions.
In fact, he did not even live there.
Jimmy, who was privy to whatâs going on in every house, was naturally in the position to warn him.
However, Gina was still too shocked after finding out that Frank owned a mansion to notice that detail.
âHâHow did he get a Skywater Bay mansion?â she stammered.
âYeahâ¦â Peter was equally confused. âArenât these mansions reserved as gifts and never sold? Frank Lawrence shouldnât be able to afford itâ¦â
âOh!â Gina suddenly exclaimed in realization. âIt must be Vicky Turnbullâhe must be staying at her house.â
Peter had to agreeâit made sense that the Turnbulls would have a mansion here, and Vicky must have let Frank stay here!
âFuckâ¦â he grumbled under his breath. âThat gigolo has no right living hereâ¦
Gina turned toward Chris just then, asking, âChris, which mansion is more valuable, the Turnbullsâ or yours?â
âThe Turnbullsâ, of course,â Chris replied, rubbing his nose awkwardly. âTheir main family is from the capital, so they have connections there. The Quills would naturally regard their importance.â
So that was why Frank was coming downhill every time he saw himâhe was staying at the Turnbullsâ
Skywater Bay mansion.
Chrisâ jealousy flared right then.
He heard that Vicky was as beautiful as she was a successful businesswoman.
But was she blind? Frank was not even half as goodâlooking as he was!
If he had the Turnbullsâ influence, he would have reached for the skies by nowâ¦
Still, Gina noticed the dark look on Chrisâ face and quickly assured him, âActually, Chris, the way I see it, that Turnbull gal would never measure up to you. Sheâs successful only thanks to her familyâs influence, while you started out with nothing. That alone makes you infinitely better than her.â
Ginaâs words actually eased Chrisâ mood considerably. âThank you, Mrs. Lane.â
After leaving Skywater Bay and arriving at the hospital, Frank was told Helen had already been dischargedâshe only had a mild concussion anyway.
Frank remembered running into Gina and Peter back in Skywater Bay just then and wondered if they brought Helen along with them.
Still, as long as Helen was fineâ¦
âWhat are you doing here, Mr. Lawrence?â a familiar voice suddenly asked from behind.
Frank turned to find Kenny standing there. âOh, Mr. Sparks. I was just coming to visit my ex- wifeâ¦â
âOh? How is she?â Kenny asked in concern. âI have friends working here. Shall I ask them to give her a checkup?â
Frank shook his head. âThank you for your concern. Actually, sheâs fineâsheâs already been discharged.â
âOh, thatâs good news.â Kenny nodded before asking, âBy the way⦠Will you be free later, Mr.
Lawrence?â
