James pov

i ran as fast as i could pushing everyone away praying that it was advika. i grab the hand of that girl making her face me, a  gasp left from me after seeing her. feeling my heart race in fear that she would dissappear i quickly embraced her. memories flooded my mind after seeing her, she was alive, my bestfriend my partner in crime was standing in front of me,when everyone thought that she was dead.

i stepped back,looking at her face I place my palm on her face as tears brimmed in my eyes. I felt a sharp pang of pain when I saw her cold and emotionless face.

james:you're alive advika,where were you all this time,why did you do t-

Ahaan:let's leave from here first

I shift my gaze from her and looked at the guy "Ahaan Malhotra" I glared at him angrily

james: you knew about it all this time didn't you and you still freaking pretend to grieve over her.

I tried to keep my tone as low as I could not wanting to have any unwanted attention on us.

advika:let's get out of here first james.

hearing her cold tone I turned to her and nod my head,there were many questions I want to ask her. why did she pretend to be dead?is her child alive? and how did she survived? and many more.

we left that place and went to a car,sitting in the car I turned to her and said.

james : why did you fake your death advika do you have any idea how it affected others.

advika:when they didn't care about me or feelings why should I care about them.

she had a point,she had every right to not care about anyone's feeling but what about me.

james:what about me ? i was your bestfriend,why did you punish me for more than a year why?why??!

my tears fell as I spoke while staring at her deeply but there was not even a single emotion on her face.

james:all this time we all thought that you were d-dead,not a single day passed when I didn't miss you ,when i didn't cried for you,why did you do this advi,i was your bestfriend then why did you hide this from me.

she still said nothing not even a single thing,my chin wobble as I hold my tears back.

advika:I did it cause I didn't want to have any connection with you rathore's specially after what happened,I know that you were really affected by it but it was more important for me to think about myself rather that thinking and caring about others.

she said as she stares at me,she stays silent for few seconds before saying.

advika:and it would be better if you forget that you ever had a bestfriend named advika,think that I'm dead or never existed.

her words pierced my heart,I looked at her angrily' how can she even say something like this,she wasn't like this ,she wasn't !! she said it like our friendship never meant anything to her how did she became so cruel.

james:FINE you want me to forget about your existence right ms Malhotra I will,from now on you are no one to me,and don't worry ms Malhotra I won't tell anyone about your little secret.

I said and stormed out of the car ignoring the pain in my chest.

advika's pov

after changing into comfortable clothes i was passing by Ahaan bhai's study room but i stopped as i hear him and my another brother talking.

Ahaan:james was her bestfriend even before vidyut but she didn't even show any emotions while breaking their bond.

??:in this one year she changed alot.

Ahaan:I hope that one day she would change and she would be happy genuinely happy I wish we could save our sister sooner.

my heart felt heavy hearing them,it was true in this one year and two months me and my life has changed alot everything about me was changed.

"zindagi ne Asa khel khela ki badal na zarori padgaya" the reason I was living for was snatched away from me and now I am surviving for them,for my brother's. and the hope of living it is equal to no,but their was someone who reminds me of my old self.

I was on the terrace staring at the stars not being able to sleep,in this one year I was not able to sleep and had to have medicine to fall asleep but it was useless,it only works for a few hours and then I'm awake for the entire day.the doctors said that it was insomnia that was making it hard for me to fall asleep.

Ahaan: want some.

i came out of my thoughts hearing bhai, he passed me a cup of hot tea that was warming my cold palms.

Ahaan: don't you think that it was kinda cruel, James was your best friend princess ,he never did something that would hurt you in anyway.

i stayed silent knowing that he was right. it would be a lie if I said that the way he left in anger and tears didn't bother me.

Ahaan:kahi nafrat aur dard ki aag mai tum aapno ko na khodo .

advika:I'll try to reach him and talk with him again.

I said before taking a sip of the hot herbal tea.he hugs me resting my head on his chest as he gently pats my head softly.

Ahaan:I'll always be here for you no matter what,I'll always love you.

I nodded,biting my lower  lip.

Jennifer's pov

I was staring at the papers I was holding in my hands they were not normal papers those were divorce papers.i can't deal with this anymore I don't deserve to live happily after what I did with her,she was abused because of me and even r-raped I could have save her by saying the truth before she got married but I didn't all because of me she sufferd alot.

I'm sorry advika I'm really sorry. this guilt might kill me one day but I don't care I deserved every dreadful thing that has happened to me.maybe I should've died in that accident I never deserved the love I got from her,never.

I can't even imagine how she could smile after seeing my face,when I was her culprit all this time.

I placed the papers aside and started to pack my belongings,just as I was about to keep my clothes in the suit case a cold hand stopped me. a shiver ran down my spine feeling his presence behind me.And in the blink of an eye he pulled his me towards him by wrapping his arm on my waist making my back crash on his chest.

james:what are you doing sweetheart

I forgot to breath for a second when he whispered near my ear,he grabs my hand and with a jerk I was facing him now.his eyes were red like he cried,he clench his jaw before saying.

james:I asked you something.

I released my hand from his grip and step back a bit seeing him so close to me,i took a deep breath before I took the divorce papers in my hands,I looked at him and said.

jennifer: sign them.

I said showing him the divorce papers,his expression stayed the same.he took the papers and stared at them for a few seconds before looking at me.

he takes a step ahead making me step back he kept doing it till my back hit the wall.he let the divorce papers fall from his hand as he placed his one hand on the wall near my face and one on my cheek,I looked at him with my heart beating fast as his fingers slowly caressed my cheek.

james:what happened Is there something wrong,something going on in your mind that makes you wanna leave,is something bothering you sweetheart.

I frown hearing him did he lost his mind? he is asking me what's wrong when he clearly knows what's wrong .

jennifer: you are asking me what's wrong.

he nods in reply.i harshly pushed away his hand away from me as i said.

jennifer: I'll tell you what's wrong. this whole relationship is wrong,me staying with you is wrong,this stupid marriage should have ended a year ago.we were never meant to be together so sign these papers and let me get out of this HELL.

i yelled at his face,breathing heavily I stared at him as he didn't even budge.tears slowly brimmed in my eyes,I was mentally exhausted i just want to be happy even if It's impossible.

jennifer: i-i can't do t-this anymore i-i'm exhausted mentally,physically,I can't do this anymore i-i might even hurt you like i did to advika.

he moves back while looking down he looks at me again and says.

james:you want a break from our relationship you can have it,no matter how long I'll wait for you. and you can never hurt me sweetheart, you heal me not hurt me you are the reason I'm still alive.

he said and placed his hand on my cheeks wiping my tears,he pulls me closer and hugs me keeping his hand on my head.

jennifer: i-i can never forgive you for w-what you did.

james:I know. I know that you can never forgive me

I pushed his away harshly as I let out a shaky breath out.

jennifer: I hate you,DO YOU HEAR ME I SAID I HATE YOU!! ALL YOU DO IS HURT ME AND HIDE THINGS FROM ME!! THATS ALL YOU CAN DO WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE.

his expression changed it was clearly written on his face that he was hurt because of my words,..did I took it too far.

he gulps before a tear fell from his eyes.he didn't said a thing and left.

the next day.

jennifer came downstairs after freshening up,and suddenly james appeared in front of her, nicely dressed up in a black suit with a expensive watch on his wrist. he took her hand and made her sit on the chair.

she looks at him disbelieve he was pretending like nothing happened yesterday and everything was normal.

james:you wanted to leave right.

he said placing her breakfast in front of her.

james:feel free to,you don't have to stay here with me anymore if you want then you can leave i can't force you to stay here if it doesn't make you happy.

he said and placed a glass of juice beside the breakfast.

james:I'm getting late so I'll leave first.

he said.and left without looking back.jennifer looks at him in shock.there were many things going in her mind,how did he just let her go?,will he ever come back to her,will she ever be happy.

james sat in his car and let out a breath keeping his head on the headrest he let his tears fall he didn't want to let her go but had to even if it's for some time,he didn't want her to be hurt because of him so he did what he needed too.

at night.

james enters his room and found a letter,he knew that she was gone now.he slowly carres the letter.

-I'M SORRY IF I HURT YOU IN ANYWAY JAMES,THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF ME ALL THIS TIME.TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF "TILL OUR NEXT ECLIPSE" GOOD BYE-

his tears fell as his heart clenched in pain reading the letter,he gulps the painful lump down and puts the letter aside.he wipes his tears after running his fingers through his hair.

after changing his clothes james lays on his bed trying to fall asleep when he got a call.

james:hello

he said in a cold tone.There was silence on the other end of the phone and after a few moments a voice came, a very familiar voice.

advika:Jamie

he immediately got up after hearing her voice.

advika:and it would be better if you forget that you ever had a bestfriend named advika,think that I'm dead or never existed.

he recalls what she said to him and replies in a cold tone.

james:who is it.

he heard a sigh from the other side.

advika:it's me advika

james:who advika I don't know anyone named advika.

he said while shrugged his shoulder like she could see him.and on the other hand she was getting frustrated.

advika:listen here james I'm sending you a damn address reach there as soon as you can.

she said and cuts the call and in a second a notification popped up on his screen and as she said it was a address a bit far away from his house.

he got down from the bed and straight went to his garage as his heart beat race for an unknown reason.

james bike stopped exactly where the address was located. it was a park where advika was sitting on a bench,she was wearing white sneakers, black sweatpants with a grey hoodie with the hood on ,zoning out.,he saw her and removed his helmet and pressed the horn making a loud sound,she looked at the direction where the sound was coming from and saw james who was wearing white sneakers,grey sweatpants with black hoddie.

she walks to him as he got down from his bike.

james:why did you called me here

advika looks at him awkwardly.

advika:I shouldn't have said that to you.

james raised his eyebrow at her and leans to her placing his hand on his ear pretending that he didn't hear her.

james:what did you say ? I can't hear you.

he said sarcastically, she glares at him and say.

advika:i said that,I shouldn't have said that to you.

james:you mean that you shouldn't have said that I should forget that once I had a bestfriend or just pretend that my bestfriend is dead when she is alive.

she slowly nods her head.he placed his palm on her head caressing it as his eyes softens.

james:it did hurt me but you had your reasons too.

she nods her head as she stares at him...

james:let's go

james says , she looks at him confusion and said.

advika:Where it's too late.

he chuckles and said.

james:the ice-cream shop. it must be open come on let's go,no buts.

he said,advika thought for a second and nods her head.

advika enjoyed the fresh cold air as she stared at the sky,her head was kept on his back while he silently drove the bike.after some time they reached to the ice-cream shop.

james:here

he said and passed her a cappuccino flavored ice-cream. as they were eating the ice-cream james was telling her about what he did in the past one year,when suddenly a question popped in his head.

james:do you know what "till our next eclipse" mean.

she shrugs her shoulder and said.

advika:no idea,but why did you asked.

she replied as she finished eating her ice-cream .

james:jennifer she left,we didn't got divorced but she left and I let her go,it was written in her letter.

he replied while looking down,advika pats his back not saying anything.

james:she also got to know about what she did to you when she was little and what you went through.

she took a deep breath as she looks at her feet.

advika:to be honest I feel like I was a fool to forgive everyone when I got hurt because of them.

james listens to her and suddenly a question popped in his mind again,he thought that the baby was also alive and said.

james:what did you named your baby,is it a girl or a boy.

advika turned pale as she remember how she lost her child,  her heart ached with sorrow.she looks at him as she says.

advika:the baby couldn't survive james i lost my baby that day.

his face paled hearing her,tears brimmed in his eyes as he stared at her in shock.

james embraced her quickly ,his tears fell like river he couldn't imagine the pain she went through cause of losing her baby.

advika stood still letting him hug her she bit her lower lip not letting her tears fall.

she pulled out when she heard him sobbing.

advika:hey,hey don't cry.

she said as she caressing his shoulder.

james:i c-can't imagine w-what pain you went through,when y-you lost your b-baby.

he said and hugs her again tightly.

advika:james stop crying first.

she said before gulping the painful lump down her throat.she broke the hug and he wiped his tears.

james:l-let's go I'll drop you

she nods her head.they stopped in front a huge mansion she got down from the bike and james stares at her she pass him a small smile and says.

advika: good night let's meet again some time.

james nods and pecked her head as a brotherly gesture.

james:stay happy forever advi,..good night.

she nods and left after waving at him.
