Gu Junzhu nodded, “I understand.”

While Duan Yanbing was unconscious, headquarters assumed him to be dead.

When it was discovered Yanbing was alive, they decided to maintain the supposed error and treated him as a dead man by giving him a new identity and sent him undercover.

Duan Yanbing was an orphan who grew up on the streets; he had no father, no mother, no relatives.

Such a background, was most suitable for undercover work.

Gu Junzhu patted his shoulder, “It’s good to have you back! Did you complete the mission?”

“Yes,” Duan Yanbing nodded, “Mission accomplished. I received a Special Merit Medal.”

At the moment, the Special Merit Medal was in the pocket close to his heart. He was originally planning on giving it to Ye Xingbei as an engagement gift.

But now, there probably wasn’t a chance…

“Well done!” Gu Junzhu gave another punch to his shoulder, “You must have suffered a lot, right?”

Undercover work was the last thing Gu Junzhu wanted his men to undertake.

I believe if they could deceive Chi Zhen, they’ll likely be able to fool Qingqing. I’m discussing with Dr. Yue about having Gu Cheng and Gu Sha impersonate Shi Muqiao again to test Qingqing’s reaction.”
