Chapter 367
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 367 He Would Not Give In Anymore She was surprised to see Willâs incoming caller ID.
âHi, Mr. Darcey.â
âHey. Have you had breakfast?â
âYeah. Whatâs up?â
âWhere are you now? Iâll come to find you to talk about our partnership.â
Elisa was shocked. âAre you in Southdale?â
Will smiled. âYeah.â
Elisa paused for a while before answering, âIâm only free in the morning today. My schedule for the rest of the day is not confirmed yet.â
âSure. Letâs meet for lunch then.â
âOkay. Go ahead and book a restaurant. Iâll see you there.â
âAlright.â
Elisa dressed up and headed out after receiving the location from Will.
It was a clubhouse where wealthy people gathered. Elisa entered a private room as instructed by Will. By the time she arrived, Will was already there. He lifted his eyes and smiled when he saw Elisaâs slender figure. âHey, take a seat.â
Elisa nodded and walked up to him. âSorry for making you wait.â
A familiar gentle smile tugged at Willâs lips. âI just arrived too.â
Then, he poured Elisa a glass of red wine and said gently, âThis is a famous red wine produced locally. The color and taste are top-tier. Give it a taste.â
Elisa went to sit across from him and received the red wine. She didnât taste it immediately but stared at Will insouciantly. âDid you come here because you have some matters to attend to?â
Placing his arms on the armrest, Will tapped his skeletal finger softly on the armrest.
The uneven tapping rhythm made one nervous for some reason. At the same time, the atmosphere seemed to have frozen because of that.
His deep-set eyes were dark and complicated. Moments later, he smiled and uttered in a slow, clear voice, âWould you believe it if I say I came here just to look for you?â
Elisaâs long eyelashes fluttered. The next second, she replied with a smile, âYou must be kidding me, Mr. Darcey.â
âThat never exists between you and me.â Will arched his brows. Elisa was at a loss for words while he continued gently, âI wouldnât bother kidding with outsiders.â
Elisaâs eyes glistened. She knew pulling a joke was not Willâs thing, but lying was.
Squeezing a smile, she didnât intend to continue the topic. So, she said naturally, âHowâs your consideration going regarding the partnership?â
Will sighed and answered, âI agree to take part in the collaboration, but I have a condition.â
Elisa looked at him in curiosity. Wearing a faint smile, Will explained, âSince this partnership is proposed by you, I want you to be the person in charge, together with me, throughout the entire project. After all, it is an investment worth hundreds of billions, not tens of millions. I hope you can understand, Elisa.â
Elisa remained silent. He must have requested so because I personally followed Gareth here to be in charge of the project too.
Perceiving Elisaâs silence, Will said with a smile, âYour proposal is amazing. Any outstanding employees might be able to produce a satisfying outcome. However, the inspiration and creativity came from you, so youâre able to produce the best presentation. Iâm raising such a request merely from the point of view of a businessman. Whether it works out or not depends on your view on the matter.â
In other words, he would not give in anymore.
Elisa hesitated for a while and finally responded. âThis is not a short project that lasts only one or two months. If I were to follow up on it personally, I might be occupied for quite a long period, which goes against my original intention.â
âIndeed, but itâs a project that can be completed within three or four months. It would take longer than that if you want to recover Benett Corporation. You should be well aware of how much the contribution to Benett Corporation would be if this project is successfully completed. By that time, you would be the major contributor. Iâll announce to the public your contribution. This is a beneficial deal to you.â
