No Chance Of Remarriage: Get Lost Chapter 26
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 26 Youâre Going to the Washroom Already?
Gareth Wickam, Vincent Shane, and Jeremy Chase were as close as biological brothers although they were born of different parents.
Vincent was relatively quick-witted and hot-tempered while Jeremy was more of a gentleman. Everyone thought he was a gentle, handsome, amiable man from a wealthy and influential family. However, he had a cold heart.
The three confidantes cared for each other like how they cared for their own families.
âI found my motherâs old necklace.â
Gareth lifted his head to gaze at Vincent in silence while Jeremy uttered, âFinally.â
With a darkened face, Vincent grumbled, âBut the necklace is now with the despicable woman. And... and I freaking lost to her!â
âGet straight to the point.â Gareth croaked.
Both he and Jeremy knew how important that necklace was to Vincent.
Vincent gritted his teeth and told his friends the entire story.
Jeremy snorted. âSo that necklace is very important to her too and she claimed it was passed down from her deceased mother?â
Vincent gnashed his teeth. âMy foot! Sheâs obviously lying! Oh well, it was dishonest of me to hoax her into a competition.
Otherwise, she wouldnât have gotten help from such a powerful opponent! Even national car racers might not be able to beat that woman.â
Gareth was surprised that Vincent had such a high opinion of the woman.
Suddenly, Vincent shot a glance at Gareth and blurted, âShe can even hold a candle to you. How can I possibly defeat her?â
Jeremy chuckled. âHa! Interesting!â
Looking indifferent, Gareth didnât answer but stood up and walked out of the room.
Vincent lifted his brows and remarked as he watched Gareth walk away. âI canât believe youâre going to the washroom after drinking just a few glasses. Is there any issue with your health? Do you need Jeremy to give you a checkup? Otherwise, it might affect your marriage in the future.â
Gareth glared at Vincent coldly and left the room.
However, an aggrieved voice emerged before he reached the corridorâs corner.
âWhat on earth are you thinking, Elisa? Since youâve already filed for a divorce, why donât you give him and yourself a chance?â
Gareth was stunned at the spot.
Elisaâs resigned voice came forth on the other side of the corner. âIâm a divorced woman. I donât want to impede on his life.â
Garethâs expression turned ghastly at once when he heard the familiar voice. It is really her!
Our divorce procedure is not completed yet, but sheâs already messing around with other men! Screw you, b*tch!
Rachel was flustered. âNot at all! He has liked you for five years. Five years, honey! If it wasnât for you marrying the wrong man, you couldâve led a happy life now!â
Gareth pressed his lips tight. A happy life? I doubt any man could satisfy a greedy woman like her.
âRachel...â Elisaâs voice was filled with resignation.
âHey, you donât have to avoid him. You canât be standing out here forever! We gathered today to celebrate your divorce, so you should be there. Letâs go back quickly.â
âRachel, I...â
âAlright, say no more.â
Rachel ignored Elisaâs will and dragged her back into the private room.
Only after the door was closed did Gareth walk out of the corner. He clenched his fists as he glared at the door of the private room where Elisa was at.
Elisa Benett! If it wasnât that we had a divorce, you should be Mrs. Wickam! Iâll not let you off if you cause any inglorious rumors again!
At that thought, Gareth strode toward the private room as he wanted to see which ignorant man had fallen for Elisa.
