No Chance Of Remarriage: Get Lost Chapter 20
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 20 We Are Divorced âOf course not.â Will chortled. He tapped on the brake and slid into the right lane. Will glanced at Garethâs car and turned right.
Elisa had no intention of chatting. Will carried the conversation all the way to her house. She finally turned to him when they arrived, âThank you, Mr. Darcey for sending me home.â
Will smiled warmly at her. âDonât mention it. Itâs late, you should head on in. Give me a ring if you ever need anything.â
Elisa nodded and got out of the car.
Will narrowed his eyes as he watched her leave. The woman was an enigma. Would Gareth regret losing such a rare person?
Hmph.
Now that he had her in his grasp, he was never letting go.
Elisaâs phone rang as she stepped out of the elevator. She opened her door with one and hand fumbled for her phone with the other. She was surprised to see that it was her grandmother calling.
She entered her apartment and said, âGrandma?â
âHi, Elisa. What have you been up to lately? Do you miss grandma?â
Elisa laughed as she removed her shoes. âOf course, I have. I think about you all the time.â
Julia chuckled, âYouâre such a sweet talker, love.â
Sitting down on the couch, Elisa smiled, âDid you need me for something, Grandma?â
âWhat are you saying? I just complimented you for being a sweet talker! Canât I call you just because I miss you?â
Julia could be quite temperamental sometimes. But sometimes, she was just pretending to be upset. Elisa laughed. âOf course, you can.â
âHmph! That sounds more like it. However...â
She coughed. Something had been bothering her the past couple of days. She couldnât help but ask, âElisa, how have you and my dumb grandson been? Is he coming home on time? He hasnât done anything to upset you, has he?â
Julia emphasized the word âanythingâ. Elisa would know what she was talking about if Gareth had talked to her about the divorce, however if she didnât, then her grandson must have been obedient for once and kept quiet about it.
But...
Elisa sensed that something was off. She did not answer her.
Julia froze and anxiously asked, âElisa?â
Elisa laughed, âYou know all about it, huh?â
âWhat?â
What did she know?!
That stupid grandson of hers! She was going to kill him if he made her lose such a wonderful granddaughter-in-law!!!
Elisa pursed her lips. Julia might not be willing to accept it but now that it had come to this, there was no need to hide things any further. She sighed, âGrandma, the both of us... Weâve divorced.â
âWhat?!â
Juliaâs expression changed. She shot to her feet.
Darren had been watching his wife. He knew immediately what had happened from Juliaâs reaction. He smirked in satisfaction.
Gareth did good to obey him.
Elisa had outlived her usefulness. The Wickam family no longer needed her. Besides, she had never been a good wife to Gareth!
She did not deserve his grandson!
Julia hurriedly asked, âElisa, dear. Is this a prank? Today isnât April Foolâs, is it?â
