No Chance Of Remarriage: Get Lost Chapter 175
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 175 Had So Much Fun Rose took a deep breath, âMrs. Wickam just called and told me that Old Madam Wickam is feeling much better now. She also said that someone will come see you and that they will overlook this.â
Linda gritted her teeth, âWhy does it matter if they overlook this? Now everyone will think that Iâm a hypocrite! Theyâll think that I made up stories about my relationship with Elisa. Elisa was kind enough to remind me, but I acted like the dog who bit the hand that fed me! I even tried to surpass her! How will I ever clear my name?!â
She had spent years protecting her image, and now it was all for naught! Elisa had torn apart her façade!
âGareth barely said a word to me today! He even glared at me! He doesnât love me anymore! How will I face him now? What will people say about me?!â
Rose tried to talk sense into her. âThe Benett name still holds some worth. No one would dare speak ill of you. Linda, dear, donât worry about your image. Your priority right now is to make sure Gareth marries you. Weâre all businessmen here. This will benefit all parties. No matter what they say about you, you are still the person who saved Garethâs life.â
Norman nodded seriously, âThatâs right. We can slowly try to fix what Elisa said about you. Thereâs still a chance you can comeback from this. Donât give up so easily! There is no chance the Wickams will call this off!â
Hearing this, Linda finally managed to calm down.
The both of them knew that they needed to give her some space to vent after what had happened earlier.
Even though Linda was still angry, she knew that her parents were right.
She frowned, âWhat should I do next?â
Right now, her emotions were in a mess. She was also afraid that Gareth no longer had any feelings for her.
But her parents were right. Sometimes mutual benefits outweigh feelings. Sooner or later, Gareth and she were going to be married.
âWeâll invite Elisa over tomorrow and let them know that the both of you are friendly. As for you, just continue what youâre doing and build a good image for yourself. Pretend to set aside what had happened in the past. Remember, you are kind and forgiving.
Sheâs your cousin and youâre willing to let this go.â
Linda narrowed her eyes but nodded in agreement.
âThatâs right,â Rose added, âMonica highly approves on your marriage with Gareth. Iâll sit down with her and find a solution together. If possible, there are ways to make sure that this cannot be reversed.â
Lindaâs features tensed. âMom...â
She wasnât embarrassed. Itâs just... She had never done this before, and Gareth wasnât someone who would easily give in to that!
Besides, she was a girl. How would she even bring this up to him? Wonât he think that she was too easy?
âThe past is the past. What we must do is hold onto the future. Just wait. Iâll give you what you wish.â Rose said coldly.
Linda looked at her in surprise, âHow will you do that, Mom?â
âDonât worry about that. Do what you must to protect your image and donât leave the house after tomorrow. We donât know whoâs watching. Do the best you can. Tomorrow, weâll go to the Wickam residence to pay Old Madam Wickam a visit.â
âOkay.â Linda nodded.
She felt much more assured now that her parents had planned everything out for her.
It was late at night now, and Linda felt less anxious.
As for Elisa and her friends, they were having the night of their lives.
