Chapter 668
Changing Only For Her
âYes. It just came to my mind. Thatâs enough. Letâs not talk about that today,â Sarah replied. When one likes another person, it takes a lot to forget them. Iâve been trying so hard to forget him, but it doesnât seem to be working. Thereâs nothing I can do about it.
âSarah, Juan isnât worth your time and love,â Cecelia uttered. Thatâs just how love works sometimes.
However, Juan really isnât worth it.
Cecelia proceeded to sit next to Sarah and added assertively, âIâm serious, Sarah. In order to forget about a past relationship, you must start a new one! Since the three have no boyfriend, letâs find a hunk each during this trip.â
Indeed, it wasnât such a bad idea.
âForget about it! I canât hook up with someone I have no feelings for.â Sarah shook her head. If I donât love that person, I canât just let myself loose.
Cecelia waved dismissively and said, âSarah, love isnât that pure! Iâm serious. Letâs find someone for you. No matter what happens after that, itâs still going to be better than your current situation.â
Obviously, Ysabelle knew how much Sarah loved Juan, but Ysabelle also didnât think Juan was worth it.
âAunt Sarah, I think Ceceliaâs suggestion is a good one,â Ysabelle chimed in. As long as Aunt Sarah can forget Juan, it doesnât matter who she ends up with. Aunt Sarah wouldnât need to suffer if she could get Juan off of her mind.
âOh, come on. Donât worry about me, girls. Iâm fine, really. Itâs just that he popped up in my mind all of a sudden,â Sarah uttered. Perhaps the season weâre in plays a role. I just couldnât help thinking about the past.
Although they were there to have fun, they ended up staying in the room the entire afternoon chatting over wine.
Despite that, it was still a very relaxing time for everyone.
After everyone had fallen asleep, Sophie went up to Sarah and asked, âSarah, would you like to have a chat?â At times, one had to get things off of their chest to feel at ease.
Sarah wrapped her arm around Sophieâs shoulders and answered, âIâm fine, Sophie. I fell in love with the wrong person. Thatâs all.â
Sarah knew she could definitely forget Juan. No one is going to remember someone until the end of time. Iâm sure this is only happening because I have such a good memory. Although it takes time, Iâm sure Iâll be able to forget him.
Sophie nodded. âAll right. I donât want to comment too much on Juan, but I know itâs his loss for missing out on you.â
Sarah was a very capable woman.
âYes. I know. By the way, my dad has already agreed to let you and Tristan be together. I know you only want to get married after you graduated. However, you guys can get engaged first.â Sarah was a little concerned about Sophieâs situation. Sophieâs reputation is going to take a hit if she keeps following Tristan around without an official title.
Evidently, Sarah was very fond of Sophie. That was why she would look out for her.
âTristan and I are very sure about spending the rest of our lives with each other, Sarah. Since thatâs the case, I donât think we need to go through the trouble,â Sophie answered. Like me, Tristan doesnât enjoy troubling himself with such things. I think what we have now is good.
âWhat do you mean? You need ceremonies in life,â Sarah advised. If they continue on like this, they might get sick of each other. Whatâs going to happen then?
âWell, Tristan likes ceremonies,â Sophie answered. Regardless of the occasion, Tristan would always prepare gifts for me. Besides, the gifts he had given me are all the things I need. I donât voice my feelings, but I know how good Tristan is to me.
âHmm⦠Thatâs right. Tristan has never fallen in love with anyone but you. Heâs really into you,â Sarah answered. Tristan loves her so much that heâs afraid to lose her. If thatâs the case, it has to be true love, right? Everyone knows Tristan loves Sophie. It takes a lot to love another person so whole-heartedly for someone like Tristan.
While it was snowing heavily outside, Sarah and Sophie were talking about the man they both cherished the most in their lives in the hotel.
âSophie, since Tristan is my younger brother, itâs only normal for me to be biased toward him. I know how much he loves you. As his sister, I hope youâll never hurt him,â Sarah uttered.
Needless to say, Sarah was biased toward Tristan, and she couldnât imagine what would happen to Tristan if Sophie were to break up with him.
At the same time, Sarah knew Sophie was Tristanâs weakness.
âSarah, thereâs no way Iâm ever going to hurt him,â Sophie replied. Iâll never do that.
Meanwhile, Tristan had successfully located Willow, and she fell into utter despair when she saw him.
Iâve finally gotten out, and Iâve even found a place to hide. How is this man still able to find me? How did he find me? Willow panicked, and she wanted to escape. However, a few burly men showed up before her and stopped her.
The men then pushed Willow toward Tristan. In front of him, she felt pathetic and filthy.
Therefore, she didnât even dare to say a single word.
âI have underestimated you, Willow. I didnât expect you to be capable of escaping that place!â Tristan said.
In an icy tone, Tristan added, âDonât you know Jipsdale is my territory? Did you really think you could go anywhere without asking for my permission?â
The way he looked at Willow was as if he were looking at an insignificant ant.
Under his gaze, Willow felt extremely vulnerable.
âMr. Tristan, I know Iâm worth nothing in your eyes. Thatâs why none of you would take me seriously.â
Willowâs voice was hoarse instead of sweet and adorable like it used to be.
Clearly, she wasnât the same as before after being kept at the psychiatric nursing home for such a long time.
In that place, Willow was in a living hell, and Sophie was the reason she ended up there.
âMr. Tristan, I know you love Sophie deeply. Even so, do you need to harm me? What did I do wrong?
Could you please let me go? As long as youâre willing to let me go, I promise to leave Jipsdale and never return,â Willow begged.
At that moment, Willow wanted nothing more than to leave the city. I want nothing but to get out of here as quickly as I can. I hate Sophie to the bone, but Iâm willing to let go of my hatred. I just want to live somewhere else.
âLet you go? Do you take me for such a merciful person?â Tristan questioned. Since she had committed a mistake, she should get punished!
Willow trembled as she stood there in the freezing cold. âWhy? Iâm just an ordinary person! Why do you want me gone so badly? Is it because of Sophie? Sheâs a human, and so are others, no? How could you not care about the lives of others?â
