Chapter 846
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
âYou want me to believe you and every word you say, but have you forgotten, Eveline? Youâre the one who told me that the child in your stomach belonged to Felipe!â
ââ¦â
Madeline was speechless, but then, she heard Jeremy saying, âThat child shouldnât be alive in your stomach.â
Slap!
Madeline slapped Jeremy once again.
Two bodyguards walked past when they were smoking. When they heard the noise, they walked into the basement vigilantly.
âThere are noises coming from down here.â
âI donât think so?â
âIâll go take a look.â
âIâll come with.â
The two bodyguards walked to the door of the basement. After they opened the door, they turned on the switch next to them.
However, there was nothing in the room. There was not even a rat, let alone a human.
âI told you that you misheard it. Hurry up and finish your cigarette so we can go back. Weâll be finished if Mr. Whitman comes back and sees us slacking off.â
The two bodyguards exchanged a few more words before turning off the lights and walking away.
After they closed the door, Jeremy finally let go of Madelineâs lips from behind the door.
The moment he separated from her, Madeline slapped him once more.
He could not see her expression in the dark, but he could feel her anger and resentment toward him.
His face was turned to one side, and he could not remember how many slaps he had received.
The only woman who had slapped him in his life was Madeline.
âGet lost. Get lost now! I said I donât want to see you.â Madeline lowered her voice and chased him away coldly.
âYou donât want to see me but you so desperately want to see Felipe?â the man asked sarcastically, his jealousy evident. âYou escaped from the hospital even when your body hasnât recovered so that you could come back for his comfort and safe harbor, right?â
âYes! I donât want to see you and I only want to see Felipe. Are you happy now? Are you happy, Jeremy? Get lost!â
âI wonât.â Suddenly, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms. âEveline, the more you donât want to see me, the more I want to appear in front of you.â
âLead the way. Weâll go to your room.â He requested.
Madeline did not move.
Jeremy could not handle Madeline ignoring him.
âLinnie, donât force me.â He threatened her in a low voice. âTake me to your room.â
âSo what if I am forcing you? Are you going to kill me too? If you can do it, then go ahead.â
Jeremy had no choice after he heard what she said. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into the house. Then, they went upstairs. After some time, he finally found Madelineâs room.
He pulled her into the room and locked the door.
Madeline tried her best to escape from Jeremyâs grip. âLet go, Jeremy.â
The man pulled her in front of him, his handsome face magnifying in front of her eyes.
