Chapter 62
Sorry ex You'll Never Win Me Back
Chapter 062
Stella was used to calling her Polly. âNovaâ read a little bit awkwardly.
Beneath the gaze of so many eyes, Nova nodded and followed Stella into her office.
Quite a few men were still staring at Novaâs back.
The men who had flattered Nova leaned against his computer desk, hands in pockets. In his black suit,
he looked cunning.
There was a black mole on his right cheek, which just made him prettier.
This playboy had just been 28 yesterday. No one knew exactly how many girls he had dated, but he was
still single now.
Looking at Novaâs back, he couldnât help praising her, âSure enough, not every girl could be Chief Kingâs
wife. I thought she was gorgeous enough when I saw her on screen, but sheâs actually more than that!â
A woman stood opposite him. She hated his faithlessness, but was still intrigued by his appearance.
When she heard that he was flattering another woman, she satirized him, âNova is divorced, Leonard.
Chief Kingâs not gonna back her up any more. Must you still butter her up?â
Leonard frowned. He glanced at Eudora and sighed, âIâm not buttering her up. Iâm just admiring her. Who
doesnât like a beauty?â
Other lawyers took a glimpse at the two of them, without commenting anything. Everybody knew that
Eudora had a crush on Leonard, but he had no interest in her.
Eudora sneered, âChief King divorced her because she had cheated on him. Thatâs what your beauty
has done.â
âAre you finished? Why donât you go back to work too? One of my cases will come on for trial tomorrow. I
need to get ready.â
And then, he got started immediately. Leonard was always efficient and good at what he did.
Every lawyer of Stellaâs firm was competent enough to start his or her own business.
Because Stella held high standards when hiring lawyers, people doubted whether Nova had got this job
fair and square.
They almost believed that Nova had slept her way up here, but for that Stella was female.
It was noon now, while Nova was still in Stellaâs office, which confused everyone.
Eudora had glanced at Stellaâs office door for several times. She couldnât help wondering, âWhatâs going
on in there? Why didnât Nova get out?â
âPerhaps the boss has a lot of things to tell her.â
Right now Nova was sitting opposite Stella. Everyone here knew that there were two computers in
Stellaâs office. She only used one of them, and the other was untouchable, just like a taboo.
Howeverâ¦
Nova turned it on at this moment.
Flaring paper adorned Stellaâs office door. There was no way others could see what was going on in here
from the outside.
Stella heaved a sigh, âAfter all these years, you have no idea how many times Iâve dusted this computer
for you. Itâs good to see you turning it on at last.â
There was guilt in Novaâs eyes. âSorry. Itâs all my fault.â
