Chapter 6
Sorry ex You'll Never Win Me Back
Chapter 006 After an hourâs car ride, Nova arrived at Kingâs Way Mansion with mixed feelings. As they
entered, they heard an exciting voice came from the sofa, âMy dear granddaughterâinâlaw! Nova, come
to grandma! Iâve been looking forward to you.â Novaâs eyelashes trembled slightly, and she felt that her
eyes were going to betray her true feelings. She finally managed to produce a faint smile and said,
âGrandma, sorry, Iâve been...â Before she could finish, Mabel patted her hand kindly and said softly, âYou
donât need to tell me. Grandma know all your plights. I know.â Nova subconsciously raised her head to
look at Mabel, and, in surprise, she asked tentatively, âYou...know?â Itâs not right. If Grandma knows our
divorce, she wouldnât speak to me in this way and call me granddaughterâinâlaw... Henry also looked at
Mabel in surprise. Mabel cast a blaming glance at Henry and then looked at Nova with tenderness. She
said gently, âYes, grandma knows. This brat is out of his mind. He doesnât cherish the best wife I chose
for him!â Nova looked at Mabel in surprise. Grandma really knows? Mabel took Novaâs hands and sat
down with her. She said to Mabel with determination, âYou rest assured. If he dared to night out ever
again, Iâll break his leg! Youâll see how grandma teach him a lesson!â
Novaâs doubts were dispelled Grandma knew thats elled. Grandma knew that she was having a hard
time, but Grandma knew nothing about their divorce. Seeing Henryâs face shrouded with clouds of
unwillingness, Mabel exclaimed in anger, âWhy are you so reluctant? What? Your old grandma just want
to have dinner with you and I have to see your disposition first?â Henry changed his expression and
looked toward Mabel, âNo. How would I dare.â âHumph! You dare to do anything!â âYouâre not a little boy!
And you havenât given me a greatâgrandâbaby! Having no offspring is the worst among all the unfilial
doings. Do you know that!â Seeing that grandma wanted to stand up, Nova hurried helped grandma.
Henry frowned and cast a glance at Nova. The servants had been serving dishes to the dinning table
when they saw Henry come back. Mabel held Novaâs hand and went to the dinning table with her. Mabel
said, âCome, letâs have dinner. If he doesnât like to eat, he can get out and never return!â Henryâs face
seemed to be shrouded in darker clouds. He didnât utter a sound but silently sat opposite them. Mabel
enthusiastically put dishes in front of Nova. It seemed that Nova was her granddaughter and Henry was
the one married into their family. Nova also enjoyed the food and chatted jovially with Mabel. Henry acted
as if he had been isolated and he only took several bites. Then, he looked at Mabel and asked,
âGrandma, why do you want... want us to come back for a dinner all of a sudden?â
âHow long has it been since you come back last time?â Said Mabel. She felt angrier as Henryâs voice
reminded her of his presence and how little concern he had to this marriage. She continued, âCanât you
spend some time with me? Your grandfather is often on business trips, and Iâm home all by myself. How
could you ask such an inhuman question?â Henry was speechless. He then remained silent and focused
on eating. The more Mabel talked, the angrier she became. And then she slapped the table angrily,
âAnyway! Nova is your wife! You should care about her and love her. Why are you seeing that bitch in the
hospital all the time! Havenât you brought enough shame to Our Kings!â Henry darkened his face,
âGrandma, she saved my life.â âSaved your sorry ass? Youâll know thatâs her trick if you arenât blind!â
Henry frowned and cast an icy glance at Nova.
