Kelly’s face turned pale. Damn it! Henry must have heard Lan’s voice. Why is this man so talky and so

loud?

She turned to Lan and kept a worried look. “I… I’m worried about Henry and Nova, so I followed.”

Lan smiled. “They’ve known each other well. Even if they divorced, they could sleep on the same bed,

right? It’s no big deal. What’s the worry, Miss Bush?”

Kelly changed her expression. She looked at Lan solemnly. “Mr. Lan, don’t say that. Henry and Nova

ain’t like that.”

Lan smiled. “Is that so?”

Simon once told him that Kelly Bush was a troublemaker. Simon also analyzed Henry’s attitude towards

Kelly.

Simon concluded that Henry had no feelings for Kelly even if this woman once saved his life.

Kelly looked at Lan in confusion. “Mr. Lan, you…”

Lan smiled and remained silent. He turned the corner and walked towards Nova and Henry.

Since Kelly had exposed herself, she could only ask Cassie to bring her towards them as well.

When Nova saw Kelly, she said with a half smile. “So, you want me to pay grandma a visit, and you want

my cousin to go as well? What

would grandma think? A stupid love triangle story?”

“Nova Bush!” Henry’s angry voice was warning Nova to stop satirizing. Nova just sneered as she had

known Henry would defend Kelly.

Henry gritted his teeth. Before he could say a word, Nova had walked away.

He wanted to shout and stop Nova, but Kelly had uttered, “Henry…”

Henry stopped at last and turned to Kelly impatiently. “Why did you tell Nova that she can’t visit

grandma?”

Lan laughed. “Oh my… Miss Bush, what the hell was in your mind?”

Damn it! Kelly roared in her heart. Nova should tell that Henry!

Nova was a lawyer and, of course, she would record conversations!

comfort her a little? It’s the seed you planted yourself.”
