Chapter 327
Sorry ex You'll Never Win Me Back
Chapter 327 A Sense Of Misgiving
Nova halted at his voice, wearing an innocent look on her face.
It was such a coincidence at that time Kelly was pushed out by Cassie since she felt something was
amiss.
âHi, Mr. King.â Nova turned on his heel and greeted Henry with a smile.
Kelly ran across them on the corner as she got out of the box, she then motioned for Cassie to stop.
Nova was obviously wondering about Henryâs act and iceâcold eyes, which could be told from her knitted
eyebrows.
âGranny hasnât got a wink of sleep for two days.â
âWhatâs wrong with her?!â The doubts in Novaâs eyes suddenly turned into worries.
âOf course, itâs because of you!â Henry said in a rather low tone, maybe the tone was icy, instead of low
to sound.
Her face grew pale with concern. âHow could it be? What the hell with it?â
âCome back with me tonight then you will see.â He was always sparing with his words.
Nova fell silent with her eyebrows deeply ceased.
As for Kelly, whose face crumpled up terribly right off the bat when she witnessed the scene.
Why? Why did Henry ask Nova to go back to the Kingâs Mansion?
If Mabel is ill, why not go to the doctor? Why do they want Nova?!
No matter how much Mabel liked her, she could not be a part of the Kingâs, let alone reigniting with
Henry! Why doesnât she just get it?
How could Henry get rid of Nova once and for all?! Kelly chewed on her lip and stared at them with a
look of pure venom.
Kelly was so absorbed in her vicious curse that as soon as she gathered her wits she saw Nova walking
toward her. In a hurry, she assumed an amiable expression. But Nova didnât even look at Kelly as she
passed her.
Since her attention was focused on the call she was dialing.
The call was answered soon.
âIs that Nova?â Mabelâs voice was rather haggard, and gracious in Novaâs ears.
âYeah, itâs me, grandma. How have you been? Why canât you sleep well?â Nova hastened to ask.
âNo, Iâm doing well with my condition. Itâs nonsense to say I canât sleep well. Iâm sound asleep every
night!â
Nova frowned at the answer but said nothing, apparently, she didnât believe what Mabel said.
âHow are doing recently, my little girl?â Mabel continued in her usual way of speaking with Nova,
optimistic and affable. âDid you miss me? I miss you so much all the time my sweet.â
âOf course, I do, grandma, I think about you every day. So please take care of yourself, ok? Iâm going to
visit you tonight.â
âTonight?â Mabelâs voice sounded slightly nervous. âHoney, not tonight.â
âWhy? Grandma, why canât I come tonight?â Nova asked with doubt. Is tonight not convenient?
Before Nova could fathom what the reason was, Mabel spoke again. âI prefer another day honey, today
is late and there is not much time for us since you are absolutely not going to stay overnight here. I know
you well. And I think tomorrow is good since itâs the weekend and you donât have to work. So why not just
come to visit me tomorrow? Iâm looking forward to it!â
âBut Iâve learned that youâre illâ¦â\
âDonât fuss, Iâm as fit as a fiddle now! They are talking nonsense.â
âGrandmaâ¦
Nova couldnât finish her words because Mabel interjected. âDonât you trust what I say? Or you just donât
care what I say?â She was saying in
a pretty grouchy way, but Nova could tell that she was pretending.
âOf course not, grandma, I believe you, I just care about youâ¦â
âThen why not do as I say if you say you are not? Nova, trust me, Iâm good in all aspects, not to mention
that there are countless excellent
family doctors here, and they will surely take care of me. My dear girl, you can just rest assured. Itâs no
use coming. Mabel said as if she
was resigned to her fate.
Nova frowned even more with a stronger sense of misgiving.
Chapter 327 A Sense Of Misgiving
She was at a loss for what to do since Mabelâs words sounded too authentic to query.
Nova managed to choke down her worry, as she was going to speak again, Mabelâs voice was delivered
once. âDear, I have to go to bed now, itâs too late. Letâs just meet tomorrow, Iâll wait for you at home.â
Nova had to agree then
âWell, as you like, grandma, Iâll see you tomorrow. Have a good night!â Nova sighed heavily, but low
enough for Mabel to not hear. It seemed that she couldnât get an answer from grandma.
