Chapter 322 Unswerving Firm

Nova then raised her hand in greeting.

“Let’s go.”

Evan went first, leading Nova to the elevator, Henry’s exclusive elevator.

The receptionist typed at her cell phone the instant Nova and Evan got on the elevator.

Josie AD: Nova just came over! She was received by Evan! Now they went to meet Mr. King by Mr.

King’s exclusive elevator!

Her message was just like a bomb going off in their work group and sparking heated discussion.

Louis AD: What the heck! Are you sure? Why are they still in touch?!

People in the group chat couldn’t believe that, or they hated to believe that.

Jenny SD: It might very well be true. I’ve learned from my friend who was one of the Bush Group that

Nova now worked in the Bush Group now and was responsible for the wedding case with our company.

But it was brought about by Kelly.

Josie AD: That’s it then. Nova must come here for the case. But she still should count herself lucky to

work together with Mr. King after the divorce. Don’t you think so?”

Nova and Evan exited the floor where Henry was.

“Mr. King, Here Miss Nova comes.”

“Come in.”

His voice was as emotionless and indifferent as every time he spoke with Nova.

After seeing Nova walking inside the office, Evan left.

They were alone together in the room again.

Henry stared at Nova all the time since she got in, quite different from last time, but his look at her was

still sharp and seemingly repulsive.

“How does it feel when you find that you have to sell your body for the case?” Henry took the lead in

speaking.

Nova was indeed got accustomed to his sarcasm. “Pretty challenging, but I like challenges, and it’s none

of your business.”

Henry’s attractive face clouded over anger instantly.

Apparently, Nova was totally in the dark about what Henry had done for her with the case with Payne. If

not for him, Payne wouldn’t let go of Nova so easily.

People were always like this, being blind to their own muse.

But it was understandable for Nova since Henry had been horrible to her, or acted horrible for her all the

time so she thought it was impossible for Henry to rescue her from that dilemma.

How could she connect a man who seemed to loathe her with the favor?

Henry gave a snort to quit this topic. “Just inform you, as the person in charge of this project, you have to

go with us to Sizrane for a field visit.”

Nova seemed to be shocked by his words from her reaction to seeing him. Does he mean a business trip

with him?

Taking a deep breath to clear her mind, Nova looked at Henry. “How long it will take?”

Nova indeed promised that she would be responsible for the case all along.

But things like a business trip with Henry were totally beyond her assumption.

Brilliant as Henry was, he could handle this case on his own. Why did he still ask her to take charge of

the project with him? Moreover, she thought that Henry must want someone else to follow up on the case

while the two companies worked together on it.

Nova had in mind some doubts about Henry’s order which really puzzled her. Alright!

Nova decided to accept without demur after a second thought. This is the work I should do whether how

tough it is, and I have to bring it to a successful end as soon as possible so as to finish all the tasks on

time.

The case with Henry was of great significance for her and the Bush Group. She had no choice but to

accept in view of Kelly’s obstruction and deliberate time–wasting.

“One week.” His tone was unswervingly domineering, giving Nova no room to refuse.

Thank God! Nova let out a sigh of relief and nodded hurriedly. “One week is good.”

Henry gazed at her for a while. On his face was an unreadable expression. But his gaze didn’t last long

because he soon looked away while massaging his temples with his hands as if Nova was something he

couldn’t stand to see for mere a second. “Go back on your own and get prepared.” As he ordered, he

threw a folder to her.
