Payne didn’t provide an answer immediately. Instead, he just stared at Nova as if he was pondering.

Nova looked as composed as ever without showing much emotion.

Nova had known that Payne had drugged the dishes.

Payne smiled. “Miss Bush is right. But, well, you know, we don’t do things for nothing! Miss Bush, you’ve

you?”

When Payne was to touch Nova’s hand, Nova dodged him naturally, not paying the tinniest attention to

Bush, it is how modern society works. You should know what I want and what you should offer. I heard

that Miss Bush returned to Bush Family’s Group to get tempered. You’re entrusted with such heavy

responsibility. If you fail to sign this contract with me, how will you establish yourself in the Bush?”

Nova narrowed his eyes. Payne probably had forced lots of girls to have sex with him in this way, which

Sensing Nova’s silence, Payne continued smilingly, “You wouldn’t lose anything if you accept. You

married once, and it wouldn’t be a big deal if you spend a night with me. Besides, you could get huge

profits through me. See? It’s totally for your good. More than that, if we have a good… exchange… with

each other, you could let me help with your future projects. Don’t you think so?”

Nova immediately sneered. “I’m here, which means that I’ve learned about your history, Mr. Lloyd. You

understand others‘ psychology well, and you would offer a tinny part of profits to others. However, you

didn’t honor your promises once, did you?” Payne frowned, and, putting down the tableware, said with

displeasure, “Miss Bush, you seem to have made up your mind today, huh? That you don’t want to

Nova didn’t mind what Payne had said but opened her mouth with a half–smile. “Mr. Lloyd, your

company had been in a state of stagnation recently, hadn’t it? I guess that Mr. Lloyd must have been

worried by those troubles, right?”

Payne sulked and said, “What do you mean by that? That my company is a piece of shit?”

Though

I’s company was not as good as Bush Family’s Group, it was still the top 100 companies in the world. So

many people envied his achievements.

But Nova should be satirizing him!

Nova smiled and continued with ease. “The cooperation this time… is only several hundred million in

profit, but it could advance your company to the world’s top 10. Do you believe that?”

Payne became serious, and he quit regarding Nova as a pretty woman, but a businesswoman.

“What exactly are you trying to say?”

Nova wasn’t in a hurry to answer the riddle. Instead, she smiled and tantalized the man. “You know, Mr.

Lloyd, you can’t just look at the nearest profit. The project in my hand, naturally, had the Bush’s interests.

However, the interest is no match to what you would gain from the project. Are you really sure that you

don’t want to consider it?”
