Chapter 23

Limousine

Frontman's Love (Season 1 & 2)

I got up at 7 a.m. fully rested. Sometimes I miss my old life before Min-ho, but I love the current one even more. I took the phone and started answering emails related to cooperation. Around 8 a.m. I got out of bed, where my husband was still sleeping sweetly. I changed into a loose tracksuit and went to the kitchen. Walking through the living room, I looked at the sleeping Gong, he was almost falling off the couch, but I preferred not to wake him up. In-ho told me that if you don't get enough sleep, it's more unbearable, and I preferred to avoid that. While preparing American waffles, I felt two strong hands wrap around my body and I was pressed against my chest.

-Good morning, honey, how was your sleep?- In-ho asked sleepily, kissing me tenderly on the cheek.

-I haven't slept so well for a long time and you slept well?

"And so do you. We should send Min-ho to your family more often," he said and let go of my body.

-I think so too, but I would die of longing for this little rascal - I replied pouring fresh, squeezed apple juice into a glass.

-I would have died like that too. And this moron is still sleeping?-he asked, looking at the sleeping black-haired man.

-Yes. He's asleep," I said, and In-ho poured water into a clean glass and went to the sleeping man. I took out my phone and started recording them silently, laughing at them. Their relationship was the most beautiful male friendship I have ever seen, and mine with Veronika was the best female friendship. My husband bent down and slowly poured water onto the sleeping Gong's face. At first he didn't feel anything, but when a larger stream flew on his face, he immediately jumped up in fear.

-Hwang, how the fuck I hate you!- he shouted as he got out of bed.

-To the face of those with wet hair- my husband replied mockingly, and his friend began to beat him with a pillow.

-You are guaranteed a swim in the sea on the island!

-Don't be angry because it's just my revenge - said In-ho getting up from the floor.

-I poured water on you 31 years ago!

"And you finally got a rematch," he said with a sly smile and came up to me, embracing me from behind.

"I hate you and you don't laugh," he said and pointed to my wide smile, which almost turned into laughter.

The three of us ate breakfast, and after that I left the men alone in the apartment and went to take the keys to my parents. I got into the car and drove out of the underground parking lot, calling my friend, who was at her place exactly after midnight.

-Well, after all, I thought I wouldn't get to get a call from you- Veronika said in a voice feigning indignation.

-I didn't have like to call yesterday. I was busy. I'm sorry – I said and turned right.

-The important thing is that you call. Where are you going this time?-she asked and I heard that she flushed the toilet.

-In-ho takes me to a mysterious place, he told me to take some summer clothes and that's it- I replied and stopped at the traffic lights.

-If you are flying to Hawaii or the Maldives again, I want to come with you!

-It takes 22 hours to fly to Hawaii and 10 hours to the Maldives, you know yourself that I don't tolerate long plane journeys- I said and pressed the gas again.

-To tire yourself out for me.

-How do you have such weather every day- I said, amused.

-But I don't have you by my side- she said sadly, and my mood immediately dropped. I hated it when we reminded ourselves that we were so far apart. We called each other every day and always saw each other 3 times a week, but now I only have facetime.

-Please don't remind me about it.

"It's not easy for me Bev either," she said and lay down next to Sebastian.

"I hear you going to bed?" Then fly to the land of dreams.

-Sure, thanks for your understanding. Stick with Bev and write like something.

-Sure, I'll write nice dreams, dear- I said and we hung up, and I was already parked in front of my parents' house.

"There's my annoying sister," Simon said enthusiastically and came to hug me.

"There's my annoying little brother," I said and hugged the boy. I spent 2 hours at my parents' reminiscing about old times. My mom squeezed me an album of my life since we moved to Seoul. There were photos of me, my brothers, Veronica and the last 3 of me from In-ho. It was with great pleasure that I took the memories with me and returned to the apartment. The living room was already taken care of, and from the hall I saw Gong on the balcony smoking a cigarette. I asked with a gesture of my hand where my husband was and he pointed to the closed door to the office. I nodded and went there knocking softly and crept inside. In-ho sat at his desk with his hands on his head. He was sad and I saw it. Today was another anniversary of the death of his first wife. I walked up from behind and put my arms around him. It was difficult for him, and I didn't care that he thought about her every year that day. She was his first wife, who unfortunately died with her unborn child.

"I'm sorry," he said, and tears fell down his cheeks.

-Nothing happened baby it's normal that you miss was your wife that you loved and that's understandable-he said still hugging the crying man. In-ho turned to face me and took my body on his lap and began to cry into my neck.

-You are wonderful. I don't deserve you and your good heart," he said, and I started stroking his hair.

-How many times do I have to tell you that I deserve it. You're the most wonderful man and don't make me repeat it again," I said, and the boy slowly calmed down. After an hour, we left the office and calmly drank water. We watched some random movie on Netflix to pass the time and when 7 p.m. struck, we started taking our suitcases to the limousine and drove to the city center. It was Thursday and it was usually quiet, but not today. Today was my old favorite American holiday-Hallowen. In-ho was already dressed in the Frontman outfit and Gong in a black and pink outfit and, what surprised me, he was driving the car. My task was to get out of the car and electrocute comrade Gi-hun so that he would not follow him. The salesman parked at the back of the club where we were supposed to pick up player 456. I went to the front and saw my husband's brother arguing with a security guard I knew very well. I have the right to enter without queue and I went to them to help him.

-Hey Seung, what's going on here?, I asked, standing in front of the man.

"Hi Beverly, that man is smelling inside," he said, and I looked at my brother-in-law and looked back at the taller man.

"He's with me, so let him in," I said, and Seung stepped back, making room for us, and we walked in.

"Thank you," he said, and I looked at Jun-ho.

-We are a family, so I will help you. Have a nice party-I replied and went on, leaving the younger Hwang far behind.

I found a man who attacked me in my apartment. I approached him and invited him to dance, which he agreed to, because fortunately he did not recognize me. I used a stun gun at a good time and saw that one of the guards was leading Gi-hun outside to the limousine. I quickly ran out of the club and ran to the car. I opened the door where my husband and his friend were sitting and put on my mask and hood just like my companions. The windows were tinted, which was convenient for us. When we heard the door closing in the part where player 456 himself was sitting, we moved and my beloved started talking to him

-Remember player 456? We have already talked once in this car.

-In the same? It's prettier than I thought," Gi-hun said calmly, and my husband continued to talk to him.

"I was hoping you would live a good life. You will forget about the past and be happy.

-Do you care so much about my happiness? I'm moved," he replied ironically, and Salesmam and I almost burst out laughing at his remark.

-We had to get on a plane. It was the best choice.

-I never forgot what you told me then. You and that woman. I wanted to meet you again.

-And so it happened. So speak. What do you want from us?

"End the game," he demanded.

-Game?

-The game you played and which is still going on.

"We only created it. You have taken part in the good freely.

-Don't fuck around. You take advantage of desperate people and drive them into a death trap for fun. You say it's their decision to make it sound nice, but don't think it makes your crimes noble.

-These people are losers anyway. It's garbage emanated from the game. Even now, thousands of such rubbish are born every day. Still don't understand? If the world doesn't change, the game won't end.

-It's bastards like you who say that this is how the world works, but we have to shut our mouths and live like this. They are the ones who think that people are like horses at races and they consider themselves to be their owners.

"You've become talkative," he said calmly, and Gong could barely stand it- Are you trying to convince the horse owner to stop the race? Did you want to kidnap me?

-Stop the car!- he ordered and took out his gun, pointing towards the window behind which the three of us were sitting. He tried to shoot, but it didn't work. The glass was made of anti-bullet glass.

-Do you think you'll end this with one pistol?- he asked ironically, and Gi-hun slowly put the pistol down next to him.

"Let me play again."

-Want to play again?

-I want to play again.

"You told me to stop playing."

-If I play again, those damn cats you serve will find it fun for sure. So, take me the games. What are you hesitating for? Are you scared? That you might lose to me like Oh il-nam did? Oh il-nam didn't want to admit it until the moment he died. He knew someone had come to help that homeless man, but he refused to look at the window. But when he stopped breathing, I'm sure he knew that he had lost.

-Have you seen The Matrix? They could've lived in peace if they took the blue pill. But they still chose the red pill to play the heroes. Do you also think you are a hero when can change the world?

-I will show you that the world doesn't always go the way you want it to.

-If that's what you want, have it your way- said my husband and a vapor of soporific smoke appeared on the man's side where he went to sleep. Slowly, the window behind us was falling and the three of us looked at Gi-hun.

-Player 456. Welcome back to the game- I replied and the window behind us lifted again and we calmly drove with the last player to the ship that was to take us to the game island.
