Chapter 2

Balcony

Frontman's Love (Season 1 & 2)

I took the elevator down to the bottom of the block where my best friend was waiting for me in her red sports car. I opened the door to the machine and was greeted by the beautiful scent of roses.

-Happy birthday dear!- she shouted giving me flowers and a small box. I opened it and there was a beautiful golden bracelet.

-Thank you, you didn't have to- I said hugging the blonde. We were both Americans who moved to Seoul with their parents at the age of 15 and settled here forever. Learning the language was hard, but we managed to do it thanks to the support of each other and our parents.

"Oh Peg, come on," she said as she started the car, then buttoned the jewelry on my wrist and we were on our way to our favorite café, which we found at the age of 16 -What did In-Ho give you?- she asked, breaking the silence.

-Nothing yet... Maybe he forgot," I said, looking out the window. I didn't care about gifts, but only about wishes and remembrance. I celebrated my 25th birthday, which was important to me.

-You must be kidding! He loves you, my love, and for 5 years of your relationship, he has never forgotten!

-He's busy because he has this business trip again and he doesn't sleep at night because he wants to have it buttoned up to the last button-I said, looking out the window.

"He and his ambition will eventually kill him," muttered Veronica as she parked in front of the café.

I met In-ho when I was 19 years old, I was in my last year of high school and my class and I were going somewhere to the seaside for our last trip together. We had free time, so Ver and I went for a walk around a small town. It started to rain and we ran to some restaurant to hide from the downpour. Going inside, we ordered dessert and went to take an empty seat until In-ho bumped into me, accidentally spilling the remains of his coffee on my white dress. I knew then that he wouldn't get drunk and I would have been angry with him if it hadn't been for the fact that he was handsome. He was 34 years old at the time, which was about the same age as my cousin. He offered to give me back for the dress and give us a ride to the meeting point, which we agreed to. We had a nice time with him and he wanted my phone number to transfer for the damaged dress and years later I found out that it was an excuse to make an appointment later.

We ordered the usual and took our table by the window.

-Maybe he'll finally propose to you- she said and I told her to knock on her head-Well, you've been waiting a long time!

-Uhm, I can see it already. We don't need a wedding to know that we love each other – I replied and we were given our orders. We both took out our phones and took photos of ourselves and eating to post on instagram later.

-If I'm not mistaken, in 2 months he's 40 years old, so it's time for children and a wedding, and I'll be happy to play at some wedding- she replied and I rolled my eyes, sometimes nothing got to her.

-Before my 30th birthday you will definitely be a godmother, I can guarantee you that - I said which was true because we made such an agreement that before my 30th birthday we would try to have our first child.

-Ehh as usual "wait we are not ready", or "wait is busy", How much can you talk like that!

-You will wait peacefully. How are you?-I asked, taking a sip of hot coffee.

-Beverly...- she began, addressing me by my first name. My name is Beverly Olivia Margaret Scott, to be exact. In short, Bev, Liv and Peg. Everyone who hangs out with me calls me something else, but only friends call me Liv and the rest say Bev or Peg. When I was a child, I couldn't make up my mind, and I used to call everyone all my names, and he called me one of them.

-You call me by my first name, it doesn't sound good- I said from putting the dish down and looking at the brunette.

-You know very well that I love traveling with Sebastian as much as I love you?

-Of course I know, and what is going on?- I asked. Sebastian is Veronika's husband, whom she met in her first year of university and in the third year they got married and started flying around the world every summer. Sebastian is also from America like us.

-We were recently in Spain, you know, in Europe and we liked it so much that we bought a house there and at the end of the holidays we are moving- she said and I felt like I was in a crash. He leaves for another continent, leaving his family and me alone in Seoul.

-I'm glad. Spain is very nice, but I'm going to miss you," I said, grabbing her hand.

-Me for you too. Remember that Valencia is only 17 hours by plane," she replied and I rolled my eyes. I hated flying as much as I hated tomatoes, which is very much.

-Only 2 hours more than to New York!

-Too much for me anyway.

We spent time together until the evening and around 8 p.m. Veronica gave me a lift to my apartment. We walked around the park and reminisced about the good old days that would never come back.

-Thank you for today, Ver, you are the best- I said hugging her.

-I know that I am the best and I am the one who thanks you for being with me all day. I love you Beverly Olivia Margaret Scott.

-And I'll tell you, Veronica Mia, Holly Clark- I said and we hugged each other goodbye, then I got out of the car watching my best friend disappear around the corner.

I took the elevator to the 8th floor and opened the door with the key, because the whole apartment was dark from downstairs, which gave me a sign that my boyfriend was asleep. I quietly entered the apartment, taking off my shoes and hanging up my keys. My apartment was decorated in a modern way, where white and black prevailed, but I sneaked my favorite pink color there. Small accessories were pink, adding color to the apartment. I took a vase from the cupboard and poured pink brunette roses into it and placed them on the coffee table. I went to the bathroom to get rid of all my makeup and went to the bedroom. 2 suitcases were waiting under it. One black one belonging to In-ho and the other pink belonging to me. He was cute enough to pack me up, which made me emotional. I closed the door quietly so as not to wake the boy, but he was not in bed, which surprised me. The balcony was open, so I went to where there was a beautiful view of the stars. In-ho stood in the corner, dressed elegantly.

-Honey, what are you doing?- I asked and the boy came up to me kissing me on the cheek.

-I waited for my birthday girl to come back. This is for you," he said, taking out a large bouquet of red roses from behind his back.

-Thank you, you didn't have to- I replied, smelling the flowers, and when I looked up at the black-haired man, I didn't see him until I looked down. It was really happening!

-Do you remember the first time we met? It was 6 years ago that I soiled your dress with coffee and gave you back the money by transferring it to your card. I liked you at first sight and I slyly got your number. On your 20th birthday, I kissed you for the first time at Gyeongbokgung Palace, and we've been together ever since. It is not only the day of your birthday, but also the day of the 5th anniversary of our relationship. It wasn't easy, but we always got out of the hole together, so I wanted to ask you something. Beverly Olivia, Margaret Scott, will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?

"Yes," I shouted and threw myself into the arms of the man who put the ring on my finger.

"I'm the happiest man on earth," he replied and kissed me tenderly on the lips. We took photos on my and his instagram from the engagement and went to sleep because we get up early tomorrow and go to the mysterious gaming island.
