Lord Chapter 809
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 809 Declaration of War
The guards werenât sure what to do. They dared not get rough with Sherry.
âWhy arenât you guys moving? Knock her out and take her away!â Kelvin snapped.
A guard was just about to march up to Macy when Mort shouted, âNo! Stop! You canât do that!â
Taken aback, Kelvin looked at Mort incredulously. What was wrong with Mort? What gave him the audacity to get in the way?
âMr. Kelvin, Mrs. Massey is no ordinary person. We canât get rough with her. What if something happens? We wonât be able to answer to Mr. Andrewsâ¦â Mort said, to Kelvinâs displeasure.
Why was Mort talking about Jerry when he worked for Kelvin?
Kelvin wondered if Mort was a spy.
âWhat do you mean by that, huh? Do I need you to tell me what I should and shouldnât do?â Kelvin asked in an icy tone, feeling the urge to kill Mort.
If Mort failed to explain himself, Kelvin was going to get rid of him. He knew he needed to trust his subordinates, so he wasnât going to keep someone he couldnât trust around.
âIâve been taking care of Mrs. Massey all along, Mr. Kelvin. Let me try to talk to her,â Mort hastily said.
He walked over to Macy and muttered, âPlease stop protesting, Mrs. Massey. If you do as they say, they can promise that you wonât be harmed.â
Macy said coldly, âFine. Iâll go with you.â
Back at the Kingâs residence, Avon was stumped.
He was currently on a call with Byron, and whatever he said right now would be akin to Balthazarâs order as well.
Unused to having such authority thrust upon him, Avon suddenly realized how challenging it was to be the King of Diatoran.
âYou heard my order, right, Mr. Andrews? Once time is up, I can guarantee that the gunfire thatâs about to rain down on Diatoran will make your entire country a
living
front too.
DyLun
In reality, he didnât know what to do next.
âThis is no small matter, Your Majesty. If we go to war, the Filrenians will suffer heavy losses too!â Avon said, doing his best to dodge the issue.
âYour attitude will determine whether or not we go to war. As long as you agree to the terms Iâve stated, Iâll tell my troops to retreat. Iâll even promise that Filren wonât engage Diatoran in conflict for the next century,â Bryon said.
âYou Filrenians are asking for too much. I wonât agree to those terms,â Avon staunchly declared.
Diatoran wasnât a weak country. Why would they agree to terms that brought nothing but humiliation to them?
Byron was taken aback. He didnât expect that answer.
âAre you saying thereâs no point for us to continue with this discussion?â Byron asked icily
âWeâre not giving you any compensation or handing over any of our territory! Do you think Iâd do something so ridiculous?â Avon replied.
He couldnât figure out why Jerry would agree to such terms in order to negotiate peace. It wasnât as if Diatoran couldnât defeat Filren.
Why was Jerry hellbent on compromising?
âHow dare you toy with me, you bastard? I see how it is! Just you wait! Iâm going to turn Diatoran into a living hell!â Byron roared, feeling like Jerry was stringing him along.
Previously, Caspian nearly managed to conquer Filren, and now, Jerry was messing with him.
He couldnât take it anymore
âGive my command! Tell all the army divisions to start making their way over to Diatoranâs border! Also, alert the other nations. They must join us in a war against Diatoran!â Byron roared.
âYour Majesty! Are we really going to start the war?â Jason asked timidly.
âOf course! Do you think we can do anything else now?â Byron shot back in displeasure.
âIâm suddenly getting the feeling that somethingâs up. Ever since the

negotiations started, the King of Diatoran hasnât appeared in person at all. Itâs always this Jerry fellow who handles everything,â Jason said with a look of
concern.
âI think youâre overthinking it, Jason. Itâs not like Diatoran would bring Caspian back as a general again. At the time, Caspian had already laid siege to our capital, so why did they make him withdraw?â Kenelm piped up.
âMaybe itâs because the citizens of Diatoran protested against the war, so the King of Diatoran had no choice but to get Caspian to withdraw,â a senior official suggested.
âYes, I think thatâs quite likely. Thereâs no other explanation for it,â another senior official chimed in.
Their remarks rendered Jason speechless. On the contrary, he had a feeling something had gone wrong within Diatoranâs government, leading to such strange decisions on their part.
None of them knew it was all thanks to Jerryâs machinations, of course!
Time continued to pass, and the 72âhour deadline would soon be ending.
Byron could sense that all eyes were on him. The countdown was like a nightmare that haunted him.
He had no other choice but to command, âPass on the order! In one hour, all
three army divisions to attack Diatoran at once, and Iâll join them on the
battlefield!â
Tigra had been tracking the movements of the other countries. They were all waiting for the war to begin.
âWhatâs going on? Are the Filrenians chickening out?â Dawlya, the King of Tigra, commented with disappointment.
He was waiting to enjoy the show, but the Filrenians werenât taking any action yet.
âThe King of Filren has always been a loudmouth who doesnât act on his word. He wants to force Diatoran to concede defeat, but why would the Diatoranians do that when theyâre strong enough to defend themselves?
âHeâs caught between a rock and a hard place now,â a Tigran senior official said with a scoff.

âHow humiliating. The new King of Filren is so useless! What a disappointment,â Dawlya said, shaking his head.
âYour Majesty, in the past, Caspian already led a siege on Filrenâs capital. Iâm sure the Filrenians dare not do anything rash now.
âFurthermore, if the battle begins and the King of Diatoran decides to bring Caspian back, itâll spell disaster for the Filrenians!â another Tigran senior official remarked.
Dawlya was disappointed to see that the war hadnât started. He was hoping that Tigra and Diatoran would battle one another, giving him a chance to reap some benefits.
A few minutes later, Byron finally started an international livestream.
âWe Filrenians have always prioritized peace above all else. I did not wish to see things turning out this way, but I hereby make a formal announcement!â
He paused for a moment, and the senior officials behind him shook their heads while sighing
âOn behalf of all the Filrenians, I have made the decision to formally declare war against Diatoran! We have gathered our soldiers, and soon, we will launch an assault on Diatoran!â Byron declared.
All of the Filrenian senior officials raised their fists and cheered.
